蓋耶和華使巴比倫荒蕪、絕其中之譁然、敵若大水、波濤漰渤、發其喧闐之聲、

蓋我耶和華滅巴比倫、邑中譁然、聲若波濤洶湧、我平息之。

主滅巴比倫、其中諠譁、聲若大水之波濤洶湧、必使盡息、

The Lord will destroy Babylon; he will silence her noisy din. Waves of enemies will rage like great waters; the roar of their voices will resound.

I will destroy Babylon. I will put an end to all its noise. Waves of enemies will sweep through it like great waters. The roar of their voices will fill the air.

For the Lord is laying Babylon waste and stilling her mighty voice. Their waves roar like many waters; the noise of their voice is raised,

For the Lord is destroying Babylon. He will silence her loud voice. Waves of enemies pound against her; the noise of battle rings through the city.

For the LORD is going to devastate Babylon; he will silence her mighty voice. Their waves roar like a huge torrent; the tumult of their voice resounds,

For the Lord is going to destroy Babylon, And He will make her loud noise vanish from her. And their waves will roar like many waters; The clamor of their voices sounds forth.

我要使他们的欢乐声、新郎新娘的欢笑声、推磨声和灯光都消失。

天使又对我说：“你看见的那淫妇所坐的众水象征来自各民族、各国家、各语言族群的人。

迦勒底人像群狮一样怒吼，又像幼狮一样咆哮。他们食欲大振时，我要为他们设盛宴，使他们酩酊大醉，狂欢乱叫，长眠不起。这是耶和华说的。

虽然万民喧嚣如汹涌的洪水，但上帝一声斥责，他们便逃往远方，像山顶上被风卷走的糠秕，又如狂风刮走的尘埃。

又平息怒海狂涛，止息列邦的喧嚣。

死亡的锁链曾缠住我，罪恶的狂流曾淹没我。

海水涨溢，汹涌的波涛淹没了巴比伦。

所以主耶和华说，‘泰尔啊，我要跟你作对，我要激起多国来攻击你，就像大海掀起波浪一样。

以下是关于摩押的预言：摩押的亚珥城必在一夜之间被摧毁，沦为废墟；摩押的基珥城必在一夜之间被摧毁，沦为废墟。

耶和华啊，大海澎湃怒吼，波浪滔天。高天之上的耶和华充满力量，超过咆哮的洪水和怒吼的大海。

“日月星辰必显出异兆，怒海汹涌、波涛翻腾，令各国惊恐不安。

在你那里，再也听不见弹琴作乐、鸣笛吹号的声音了，再也找不到能工巧匠了，再也听不到推磨的声音了，再也看不到闪耀的灯光了，再也听不见新婚夫妇的欢笑声了。因为你的商人曾经趾高气扬，你的邪术曾经迷惑万国，

“迦勒底的姑娘啊，要静静地坐着，进入黑暗中，因为你不再被称为列国之后。

他们要在迦勒底肆意掳掠，直到心满意足。这是耶和华说的。“抢夺我产业的巴比伦人啊，你们欢喜快乐，像草场上欢跳的母牛犊，又像嘶鸣的公马。生养你们的母亲巴比伦将羞愧难当，蒙受耻辱，排在列国之末，沦为干旱的荒漠。由于耶和华的愤怒，巴比伦必无人居住，荒凉不堪。她满目疮痍，令路人惊惧、嗤笑。弓箭手啊，你们要列阵围攻巴比伦，向她猛射，不要吝啬箭枝，因为她得罪了耶和华。你们要从四面向她吶喊，她必投降，她的堡垒将倾倒，城墙将坍塌，因为耶和华要报应她。你们要向她复仇，她怎样对待别人，你们也要怎样对待她。

欢快的鼓声止息，悦耳的琴音消失，宴乐的喧闹不复听闻。再没有人对酒高歌，浓酒变得苦涩。毁坏的城一片荒凉，家家户户大门紧闭，无人能进。人们因无酒而在街上喊叫；一切欢乐变作哀愁，地上喜乐不复存在。
