看哪！在你裡面的人都是婦女，你境內的門戶，都向仇敵敞開；你的門閂被火燒毀。

錫安的眾城門已經陷入地裡；耶和華把錫安的門閂都毀壞折斷了。錫安的君王和領袖都身在列國中；錫安再沒有律法了；它的眾先知也得不到從耶和華而來的異象。

“刀劍必攻擊胡說八道的假先知，他們必變成愚昧；刀劍必攻擊它的勇士，他們必驚惶失措；刀劍必攻擊它的馬匹和戰車，攻擊它境內所有外族的人，他們必像婦女一樣柔弱；刀劍必攻擊它的一切寶庫，它們必被搶掠；

因此，各人的手都必發軟，各人也必心驚膽戰。他們都要驚惶失措，疼痛與痛苦必抓住他們；他們必絞痛，像生產中的婦人一樣。他們在驚愕中彼此對望，面色像火燄一般。

心裡勇敢的人都被搶掠，他們長睡不起；所有大能的勇士都無力舉手。

到那日，埃及人必像婦人一樣。他們必因萬軍之耶和華在埃及之上揮手而戰兢恐懼。

“我耶和華所膏立的古列，我緊握著他的右手，使列國降服在他面前；我也鬆開列王的腰帶；我使門戶在他面前敞開，使城門不得關閉；耶和華對古列這樣說：我必親自領導你，把高低不平的路修平；銅門，我必打破；鐵門，我必砍斷。

我必折斷大馬士革的門閂，剪除亞文平原的居民，以及伯．伊甸掌權的首領；亞蘭的人民也必被擄至吉珥。’這是耶和華說的。

因為他堅固了你城門的門閂，賜福在你中間的兒女。

渡口已經被佔據了，生滿蘆葦的沼澤也被火燒了，軍兵都驚慌失措。”

城市被攻取，堅壘被佔領；在那日，摩押勇士的心必驚慌，像臨產婦人的心一樣。

因為他打破了銅門，砍斷了鐵閂。

他們因為害怕她所受的痛苦，就遠遠地站著，說：‘有禍了！有禍了！這大城，巴比倫，這堅固的城啊！一時之間你的審判就來到了！’

我必使巴比倫的領袖和智慧人，省長、總監和勇士都喝醉，永遠沉睡，不再醒來。”這是君王的宣告，萬軍之耶和華是他的名。
