看哪！在你里面的人都是妇女，你境内的门户，都向仇敌敞开；你的门闩被火烧毁。

锡安的众城门已经陷入地里；耶和华把锡安的门闩都毁坏折断了。锡安的君王和领袖都身在列国中；锡安再没有律法了；它的众先知也得不到从耶和华而来的异象。

“刀剑必攻击胡说八道的假先知，他们必变成愚昧；刀剑必攻击它的勇士，他们必惊惶失措；刀剑必攻击它的马匹和战车，攻击它境内所有外族的人，他们必像妇女一样柔弱；刀剑必攻击它的一切宝库，它们必被抢掠；

因此，各人的手都必发软，各人也必心惊胆战。他们都要惊惶失措，疼痛与痛苦必抓住他们；他们必绞痛，像生产中的妇人一样。他们在惊愕中彼此对望，面色像火焰一般。

心里勇敢的人都被抢掠，他们长睡不起；所有大能的勇士都无力举手。

到那日，埃及人必像妇人一样。他们必因万军之耶和华在埃及之上挥手而战兢恐惧。

“我耶和华所膏立的古列，我紧握着他的右手，使列国降服在他面前；我也松开列王的腰带；我使门户在他面前敞开，使城门不得关闭；耶和华对古列这样说：我必亲自领导你，把高低不平的路修平；铜门，我必打破；铁门，我必砍断。

我必折断大马士革的门闩，剪除亚文平原的居民，以及伯．伊甸掌权的首领；亚兰的人民也必被掳至吉珥。’这是耶和华说的。

因为他坚固了你城门的门闩，赐福在你中间的儿女。

渡口已经被占据了，生满芦苇的沼泽也被火烧了，军兵都惊慌失措。”

城市被攻取，坚垒被占领；在那日，摩押勇士的心必惊慌，像临产妇人的心一样。

因为他打破了铜门，砍断了铁闩。

他们因为害怕她所受的痛苦，就远远地站着，说：‘有祸了！有祸了！这大城，巴比伦，这坚固的城啊！一时之间你的审判就来到了！’

我必使巴比伦的领袖和智慧人，省长、总监和勇士都喝醉，永远沉睡，不再醒来。”这是君王的宣告，万军之耶和华是他的名。
