看啊，你的军队就像柔弱的女人，你境内的关口向敌人敞开，你的门闩被火烧毁。

锡安的城门陷入地中，主摧毁、砍断她的门闩。她的君王和首领流落异乡，律法不复存在，她的先知得不到从耶和华而来的异象。

敌人要攻击巴比伦的假先知，使他们显出愚昧；敌人要攻击巴比伦的勇士，使他们充满恐惧；敌人要攻击巴比伦人的战车战马和他们的盟军，使他们柔弱得像妇女；敌人要攻打他们的库房，肆意抢夺他们的财宝。

人们都必双手发软，胆战心惊，惊恐万状，痛苦不堪如同分娩的妇人。他们必面面相觑，羞愧得面如火烧。

强敌被掳掠，他们倒地而亡，再也不能还手。

到那日，当万军之耶和华挥拳惩罚的时候，埃及人必恐惧战抖，如柔弱的女子。

“我耶和华膏立塞鲁士为王，我牵着他的右手帮助他征服列国、降服列王；我使城门洞开，让他通行无阻。我对他说，‘我要走在你前面，为你铲平高山，打破铜门，砍断铁闩。

我要折断大马士革城的门闩，铲除亚文平原的居民和伯·伊甸的掌权者，使亚兰人被掳到吉珥。这是耶和华说的。”

因为祂使你的城门坚固，赐福给你的儿女。

渡口被占，沼泽地被烧，战士惊慌失措。’”

他们要攻取城池，占领堡垒。那时，摩押的勇士像临盆的妇人一样心惊胆战。

因为祂打碎了铜门，砍断了铁闩。

他们对她所受的灾祸充满恐惧，就远远地站着说，“‘强大坚固的巴比伦城啊，真悲惨！真悲惨！因为审判顷刻间临到你了。’

我要使她的首领、谋士、省长、总督和勇士都酩酊大醉，长眠不醒。”这是君王——万军之耶和华说的。
