Let not the archer string his bow, nor let him put on his armor. Do not spare her young men; completely destroy her army.

要裝備馬匹，騎上戰馬；站好崗位，戴上頭盔；磨快槍矛，穿上鐵甲。

所有拉弓的啊！你們要在巴比倫四圍列陣；射箭攻擊它，不要吝嗇箭枝，因為它得罪了耶和華。

“你們要攻擊米拉大翁的地，上去攻擊她，又攻擊比割的居民，屠殺他們，把他們徹底消滅，照著我吩咐你們的一切執行。”這是耶和華的宣告。

天上的星星和眾星座不再發光；太陽剛出來就變為黑暗，月亮也不再發光。我必因世界的邪惡施行刑罰，也必因惡人的罪孽懲罰他們；我要使狂妄人的驕傲止息，使強暴人的狂傲降卑。我必使人比精金還少，使人比俄斐的金更稀罕。在萬軍之耶和華發怒的時候，就是我大發烈怒的日子，我要使天震動，大地必搖撼，離開本位。人必像被追獵的羚羊，又像無人招聚的羊群，各自歸向本族，各自逃回本地。凡被追上的，必被刺死；凡被捉住的，必倒在刀下。他們的嬰孩必在他們眼前被摔死；他們的房屋必被搶掠，他們的妻子必被污辱。看哪！我要激動瑪代人來攻擊他們。瑪代人不重視銀子，也不喜愛金子。他們的弓箭必射倒年輕人，他們不憐憫婦人腹中的嬰兒；他們的眼也不顧惜小孩。

“要召集弓箭手去攻擊巴比倫，要召集所有拉弓的；要在巴比倫的四圍安營攻擊它，不容一人逃脫。要照著它的所作所為報應它，它怎樣待人，你們也要怎樣待它；因它狂傲地敵對耶和華，與以色列的聖者為敵。所以，它的年輕人必仆倒在它的街道上，到那一天，它所有的戰士都必被消滅。”這是耶和華的宣告。

因為死亡從窗戶上來，進入我們的堡壘；要從街上剪除孩童，從廣場上剪除年輕人。

要擊殺它所有的公牛，使他們下去被屠殺！他們有禍了！因為他們的日子，就是他們受懲罰的時候，來到了。

外有刀劍，內有驚恐，使人喪亡，使少男少女，嬰孩和白髮老人，盡都喪亡。

因為對不行憐憫的人，審判他們的時候就沒有憐憫；憐憫勝過審判。

“看哪！有一個民族從北方而來，有一大國和許多君王被激動，從地極來到。他們緊握弓和槍，性情殘忍，毫無憐憫；他們的聲音像海洋怒吼；巴比倫的居民哪！他們騎著戰馬，在戰場上如同一人，列陣攻擊你們。

抓住你的嬰孩摔在磐石上的，那人有福了。
