這些蝗蟲的樣式彷彿是所預備好的要出戰的馬。牠們的頭上像有類似金子的冠冕；牠們的臉面像人的臉面；牠們有頭髮像女人的頭髮；牠們的牙齒像獅子的牙齒；牠們有護胸甲像鐵甲；牠們翅膀的聲音像許多馬匹的戰車奔馳出戰的聲音；牠們有尾巴彷彿蠍子，又有毒刺，牠們的威力在牠們的尾巴上，可以傷害人五個月。有一個王統管牠們，就是那無底坑的使者；他的名字，希伯來語是「阿巴頓」，按希臘語的名字是「阿波倫」。

一切世上的居民，在地上居住的人哪，山上豎起旗幟時，你們要看！號角吹響時，你們要聽！

我要招聚萬國與耶路撒冷作戰，這城將被攻取，房屋被搶掠，女人被強姦；城中的人必有一半被擄去，但剩餘的民不會從城中被剪除。
