歌篾的儿子是亚实基拿、利法、陀迦玛。

七月十七日，方舟停在亚拉腊山上。

“你要向列国宣告，你要竖起旗帜毫不隐瞒地宣告，‘巴比伦要沦陷了！它的神明彼勒必蒙羞，米罗达必惊慌；巴比伦的神像都蒙羞，偶像都必惊慌。

他们必受许多国家和强大君王的奴役，我要按他们的所作所为报应他们。”

竖起旗帜，攻打巴比伦的城墙；要加强防卫，派人巡逻，设下埋伏。因为耶和华言出必行，一定要惩罚巴比伦人。

要在光秃的山顶上竖立旗帜，向战士高呼，挥手示意他们进攻贵族居住的城。我已向我拣选的士兵发出命令，我已号召我的勇士去倾倒我的烈怒，他们因我的胜利而欢喜。听啊，山上人声鼎沸，像是大军的声音。那是列邦列国聚集呐喊的声音。万军之耶和华正在召集军队，准备作战。他们从地极，从天边而来。那是耶和华及倾倒祂烈怒的兵器，要来毁灭大地。

歌篾的儿子是亚实基拿、低法、陀迦玛。

“看啊，大军要从北方而来，一个强国及其盟军要从地极而来。巴比伦人啊，他们残忍无道，手持弓箭和矛枪，骑着战马，列阵攻击你们，声势如翻腾的大海。

那些蝗虫好像预备出征的战马一样，头上好像戴了金冠，面孔好像人脸，毛发好像女人的头发，牙齿好像狮子的牙，胸前有甲，如同铁甲，鼓动翅膀时声音如同千军万马奔赴战场。它们像蝎子一样尾巴上有毒钩，可以折磨人五个月。它们的王是无底坑的天使，希伯来文名叫亚巴顿，希腊文名叫亚玻伦，意思是“毁灭者”。

万军之耶和华凭自己起誓说：“我要使敌人如蝗虫一样铺天盖地而来，占据你们的家园，欢呼胜利。”

世上的一切居民啊，山上竖立旗帜的时候，你们要看；号角吹响的时候，你们要听。

埃及的人口虽然稠密如林，敌军必像无数的蝗虫一样扫平他们。这是耶和华说的。

一天，亚述王在他的神明尼斯洛的庙里祭拜时，他的两个儿子亚得米勒和沙利色用刀杀了他，逃往亚拉腊。他的另一个儿子以撒哈顿继位。

若城中响起号角，居民岂不恐惧颤抖？若灾祸降临城中，岂不是耶和华的作为？

入侵者带着牲畜和帐篷像蝗虫一样涌来，人和骆驼不计其数，摧毁了整个地区。

“便雅悯人啊，你们要逃离耶路撒冷！你们要在提哥亚吹响号角，在伯·哈基琳发出警报，因为有大灾难从北方逼近。

因为我必招聚万国去攻打耶路撒冷。那时，城必失守，房屋必被洗劫，妇女必被玷污。半城的人必被掳去，剩下的人必留在城中，不会被铲除。

那将是乌云密布、天昏地暗的日子。来了一支空前绝后、强盛无比的蝗虫大军，它们像曙光一样布满山头。它们的前队如火燎原，后队如熊熊烈焰。它们未到以前，大地美得像伊甸园；它们过去之后，大地变成一片荒场。地上的一切都逃不过这一场浩劫。

但在那里，火要吞噬你，刀剑要杀戮你，要像蝗虫吞没你。你只管像蝗虫一样繁殖，如蚱蜢一般增多吧！你的商贾多过天上的繁星，但他们像吃光后飞去的蝗虫。你的臣仆像蝗虫，你的将领像成群的蚱蜢。它们寒日聚集在墙上，太阳一出来就飞走了，无人知道它们的行踪。
