The LORD says,“ Beware! I am opposed to you, Babylon! You are like a destructive mountain that destroys all the earth. I will unleash my power against you; I will roll you off the cliffs and make you like a burned-out mountain.

耶和华说：“你这行毁灭的山哪，就是毁灭天下的山，我与你反对。我必向你伸手，将你从山岩滚下去，使你成为烧毁的山。

行毁灭的山，看哪，我与你为敌，你毁灭全地，我必伸手攻击你，将你从山岩滚下去，使你成为烧毁了的山。这是耶和华说的。

主曰、爾施毀滅之山、毀滅天下者、我臨爾、舉手以攻爾、自山巖中推爾輾轉而下、使爾為焚燬之山、

“ I am against you, you destroying mountain, you who destroy the whole earth,” declares the Lord.“ I will stretch out my hand against you, roll you off the cliffs, and make you a burned-out mountain.

“ Babylon, I am against you. Your kingdom is like a destroying mountain. You have destroyed the whole earth,” announces the Lord.“ I will reach out my hand against you. I will roll you off the cliffs. I will make you like a mountain that has been burned up.

“ Behold, I am against you, O destroying mountain, declares the Lord, which destroys the whole earth; I will stretch out my hand against you, and roll you down from the crags, and make you a burnt mountain.

“ Look, O mighty mountain, destroyer of the earth! I am your enemy,” says the Lord.“ I will raise my fist against you, to knock you down from the heights. When I am finished, you will be nothing but a heap of burnt rubble.

Look, I am against you, devastating mountain. This is the LORD’s declaration. You devastate the whole earth. I will stretch out my hand against you, roll you down from the cliffs, and turn you into a charred mountain.

“ Behold, I am against you, mountain of destruction That destroys the whole earth,” declares the Lord,“ And I will stretch out My hand against you, And roll you down from the rocky cliffs, And I will make you a burnt out mountain.

“ Behold, I am against you, O destroying mountain, Who destroys all the earth,” says the Lord.“ And I will stretch out My hand against you, Roll you down from the rocks, And make you a burnt mountain.

Behold, I am against thee, O destroying mountain, saith Jehovah, which destroyest all the earth; and I will stretch out my hand upon thee, and roll thee down from the rocks, and will make thee a burnt mountain.

Look, I am against you, devastating mountain— this is the Lord’s declaration— you devastate the whole earth. I will stretch out My hand against you, roll you down from the cliffs, and turn you into a charred mountain.

Behold, I[ am] against thee, O destroying mountain, saith the LORD, which destroyest all the earth: and I will stretch out mine hand upon thee, and roll thee down from the rocks, and will make thee a burnt mountain.

“ Behold, I am against you, destroying mountain,” says Yahweh,“ which destroys all the earth. I will stretch out my hand on you, roll you down from the rocks, and will make you a burned mountain.

Then the second angel blew his trumpet, and something like a great mountain of burning fire was thrown into the sea. A third of the sea became blood,

“ What are you, you great mountain? Because of Zerubbabel you will become a level plain! And he will bring forth the temple capstone with shoutings of‘ Grace! Grace!’ because of this.”

On a bare hill raise a signal flag, shout to them, wave your hand, so they might enter the gates of the princes!

“ Listen! I am opposed to you, you proud city,” says the Lord GOD who rules over all.“ Indeed, your day of reckoning has come, the time when I will punish you.

The king uttered these words:“ Is this not the great Babylon that I have built for a royal residence by my own mighty strength and for my majestic honor?”

I made Jerusalem and the cities of Judah, its kings and its officials drink it. I did it so Judah would become a ruin. I did it so Judah, its kings, and its officials would become an object of horror and of hissing scorn, an example used in curses. Such is already becoming the case!I made all of these other people drink it: Pharaoh, king of Egypt; his attendants, his officials, his people,the foreigners living in Egypt; all the kings of the land of Uz; all the kings of the land of the Philistines, the people of Ashkelon, Gaza, Ekron, the people who had been left alive from Ashdod;all the people of Edom, Moab, Ammon;all the kings of Tyre, all the kings of Sidon; all the kings of the coastlands along the sea;the people of Dedan, Tema, Buz, all the desert people who cut their hair short at the temples;all the kings of Arabia who live in the desert;all the kings of Zimri; all the kings of Elam; all the kings of Media;all the kings of the north, whether near or far from one another; and all the other kingdoms which are on the face of the earth. After all of them have drunk the wine of the LORD’s wrath, the king of Babylon must drink it.Then the LORD said to me,“ Tell them that the LORD God of Israel who rules over all says,‘ Drink this cup until you get drunk and vomit. Drink until you fall down and can’t get up. For I will send wars sweeping through you.’

This is what the LORD who rules over all says,“ Babylon’s thick wall will be completely demolished. Her high gates will be set on fire. The peoples strive for what does not satisfy. The nations grow weary trying to get what will be destroyed.”

Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and spoke to me.“ Come,” he said,“ I will show you the condemnation and punishment of the great prostitute who sits on many waters,with whom the kings of the earth committed sexual immorality and the earth’s inhabitants got drunk with the wine of her immorality.”So he carried me away in the Spirit to a wilderness, and there I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was full of blasphemous names and had seven heads and ten horns.Now the woman was dressed in purple and scarlet clothing, and adorned with gold, precious stones, and pearls. She held in her hand a golden cup filled with detestable things and unclean things from her sexual immorality.On her forehead was written a name, a mystery:“ Babylon the Great, the Mother of prostitutes and of the detestable things of the earth.”I saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of the saints and the blood of those who testified to Jesus. I was greatly astounded when I saw her.

“ Babylon, you are my war club, my weapon for battle. I used you to smash nations. I used you to destroy kingdoms.I used you to smash horses and their riders. I used you to smash chariots and their drivers.I used you to smash men and women. I used you to smash old men and young men. I used you to smash young men and young women.I used you to smash shepherds and their flocks. I used you to smash farmers and their teams of oxen. I used you to smash governors and leaders.”

Then the kings of the earth who committed immoral acts with her and lived in sensual luxury with her will weep and wail for her when they see the smoke from the fire that burns her up.They will stand a long way off because they are afraid of her torment, and will say,“ Woe, woe, O great city, Babylon the powerful city! For in a single hour your doom has come!”

So I, the LORD, affirm that I will send for all the peoples of the north and my servant, King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon. I will bring them against this land and its inhabitants and all the nations that surround it. I will utterly destroy this land, its inhabitants, and all the nations that surround it and make them everlasting ruins. I will make them objects of horror and hissing scorn.

Even if Babylon climbs high into the sky and fortifies her elevated stronghold, I will send destroyers against her,” says the LORD.

Babylonia had been a gold cup in the LORD’s hand. She had made the whole world drunk. The nations had drunk from the wine of her wrath. So they have all gone mad.

Then they said,“ Come, let’s build ourselves a city and a tower with its top in the heavens so that we may make a name for ourselves. Otherwise we will be scattered across the face of the entire earth.”

But the day of the Lord will come like a thief; when it comes, the heavens will disappear with a horrific noise, and the celestial bodies will melt away in a blaze, and the earth and every deed done on it will be laid bare.
