“ He made the earth by his power; he founded the world by his wisdom and stretched out the heavens by his understanding.

“ I used my power to make the earth. I used my wisdom to set the world in place. I used my understanding to spread out the heavens.

“ It is he who made the earth by his power, who established the world by his wisdom, and by his understanding stretched out the heavens.

For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities— his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.

He alone has spread out the heavens and marches on the waves of the sea.

But the Lord made the earth by his power, and he preserves it by his wisdom. With his own understanding he stretched out the heavens.When he speaks in the thunder, the heavens roar with rain. He causes the clouds to rise over the earth. He sends the lightning with the rain and releases the wind from his storehouses.The whole human race is foolish and has no knowledge! The craftsmen are disgraced by the idols they make, for their carefully shaped works are a fraud. These idols have no breath or power.Idols are worthless; they are ridiculous lies! On the day of reckoning they will all be destroyed.But the God of Israel is no idol! He is the Creator of everything that exists, including Israel, his own special possession. The Lord of Heaven’s Armies is his name!

“ O Sovereign Lord! You made the heavens and earth by your strong hand and powerful arm. Nothing is too hard for you!

By wisdom the Lord founded the earth; by understanding he created the heavens.

You are dressed in a robe of light. You stretch out the starry curtain of the heavens;

“ You are worthy, O Lord our God, to receive glory and honor and power. For you created all things, and they exist because you created what you pleased.”

But joyful are those who have the God of Israel as their helper, whose hope is in the Lord their God.He made heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them. He keeps every promise forever.

“ Friends, why are you doing this? We are merely human beings— just like you! We have come to bring you the Good News that you should turn from these worthless things and turn to the living God, who made heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them.

It was my hand that laid the foundations of the earth, my right hand that spread out the heavens above. When I call out the stars, they all appear in order.”

Give thanks to him who made the heavens so skillfully. His faithful love endures forever.

Yet you have forgotten the Lord, your Creator, the one who stretched out the sky like a canopy and laid the foundations of the earth. Will you remain in constant dread of human oppressors? Will you continue to fear the anger of your enemies? Where is their fury and anger now? It is gone!

He spoke, and the winds rose, stirring up the waves.

Oh, how great are God’s riches and wisdom and knowledge! How impossible it is for us to understand his decisions and his ways!

God, the Lord, created the heavens and stretched them out. He created the earth and everything in it. He gives breath to everyone, life to everyone who walks the earth. And it is he who says,

And now in these final days, he has spoken to us through his Son. God promised everything to the Son as an inheritance, and through the Son he created the universe.The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command. When he had cleansed us from our sins, he sat down in the place of honor at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven.

I am the one who made the earth and created people to live on it. With my hands I stretched out the heavens. All the stars are at my command.

“ He is the God who made the world and everything in it. Since he is Lord of heaven and earth, he doesn’t live in man made temples,

This is what the Lord says— your Redeemer and Creator:“ I am the Lord, who made all things. I alone stretched out the heavens. Who was with me when I made the earth?

O Lord, what a variety of things you have made! In wisdom you have made them all. The earth is full of your creatures.

for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see— such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him.He existed before anything else, and he holds all creation together.

Look up into the heavens. Who created all the stars? He brings them out like an army, one after another, calling each by its name. Because of his great power and incomparable strength, not a single one is missing.

God sits above the circle of the earth. The people below seem like grasshoppers to him! He spreads out the heavens like a curtain and makes his tent from them.

Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord from the heavens! Praise him from the skies!Praise him, all his angels! Praise him, all the armies of heaven!Praise him, sun and moon! Praise him, all you twinkling stars!Praise him, skies above! Praise him, vapors high above the clouds!Let every created thing give praise to the Lord, for he issued his command, and they came into being.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep waters. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters.Then God said,“ Let there be light,” and there was light.And God saw that the light was good. Then he separated the light from the darkness.God called the light“ day” and the darkness“ night.” And evening passed and morning came, marking the first day.Then God said,“ Let there be a space between the waters, to separate the waters of the heavens from the waters of the earth.”
