Lift up a banner against the walls of Babylon! Reinforce the guard, station the watchmen, prepare an ambush! The Lord will carry out his purpose, his decree against the people of Babylon.

Lift up a banner! Attack Babylon’s walls! Put more guards on duty! Station more of them to watch over you! Hide and wait to attack them! I will do what I have planned. I will do what I have decided to do against the people of Babylon.

“ Set up a standard against the walls of Babylon; make the watch strong; set up watchmen; prepare the ambushes; for the Lord has both planned and done what he spoke concerning the inhabitants of Babylon.

Raise the battle flag against Babylon! Reinforce the guard and station the watchmen. Prepare an ambush, for the Lord will fulfill all his plans against Babylon.

大地要颤抖，痛苦地扭动，因为耶和华决意要攻击巴比伦，使她荒无人烟。

“因为巴比伦人毁灭了耶和华的殿，耶和华要使玛代诸王毁灭他们。玛代人啊，要磨尖箭头，拿起盾牌，

尼尼微啊，攻击者已经向你扑来。你要进驻堡垒，把守道路，集中全力，准备上阵！

“你要向列国宣告，你要竖起旗帜毫不隐瞒地宣告，‘巴比伦要沦陷了！它的神明彼勒必蒙羞，米罗达必惊慌；巴比伦的神像都蒙羞，偶像都必惊慌。

任何智慧、悟性和谋略，都不能对抗耶和华。

“要在大地上竖起旌旗，在列国吹响号角，让他们预备攻打巴比伦。要召集亚拉腊人、米尼人、亚实基拿人，使他们派遣将领率骑兵如蝗虫一样铺天盖地而来，攻打巴比伦。

你要蓄水以防围困，要加强防御！要走进土坑踩泥，拿起砖模造砖！但在那里，火要吞噬你，刀剑要杀戮你，要像蝗虫吞没你。你只管像蝗虫一样繁殖，如蚱蜢一般增多吧！

你们去向万国宣告：“要召集勇士，征调军队，前去打仗！要将犁头打成刀剑，把镰刀铸成矛头，软弱的人也要做勇士！四围的列国啊，你们快快聚集到那里吧！”耶和华啊，求你差遣大能的勇士降临。“万国都要起来，上到约沙法谷受审判，因为我要坐在那里审判他们。开镰吧，因为庄稼熟了；踩踏吧，因为榨酒池的葡萄满了。他们恶贯满盈，如酒池满溢。”千千万万的人聚集在审判谷，因为耶和华的日子要临到那里。

耶和华实现了祂的计划，成就了祂很久以前的应许。祂毫不留情地毁灭了你，使你的仇敌幸灾乐祸，耀武扬威。

“要预备大小盾牌，冲向战场。要套好战车，骑上战马，擦亮矛枪，顶盔贯甲。可是，我看见的是什么呢？他们惊慌后退，勇士败逃，不敢回头，惊恐不安。这是耶和华说的。

艾城的王见以色列人兵临城下，清早便急忙和全城的人起来出城迎战，在亚拉巴谷附近跟以色列军交锋，他不知道城后有伏兵。

列国啊，你们必被打垮、击溃！远方的人啊，你们要听！整装备战吧，但你们必被击垮！整装备战吧，但你们必被击垮！你们设计谋吧，但休想得逞！你们定策略吧，但休想成功！因为上帝与我们同在。

我要聚集万国，带他们下到约沙法谷，在那里审判他们，因为他们把我的子民，就是我的产业以色列，分散到各国，并瓜分我的土地。
