“ Attack the land of Merathaim and those who live in Pekod. Pursue, kill and completely destroy them,” declares the Lord.“ Do everything I have commanded you.

“ Enemies of Babylon, attack their land of Merathaim. Make war against those who live in Pekod. Chase them and kill them. Destroy them completely,” announces the Lord.“ Do everything I have commanded you to do.

“ Go up against the land of Merathaim, and against the inhabitants of Pekod. Kill, and devote them to destruction, declares the Lord, and do all that I have commanded you.

“ Go up, my warriors, against the land of Merathaim and against the people of Pekod. Pursue, kill, and completely destroy them, as I have commanded you,” says the Lord.

Attack the land of Merathaim, and those living in Pekod. Put them to the sword; completely destroy them— this is the LORD’s declaration— do everything I have commanded you.

A nation from the north will attack her and lay waste her land. No one will live in it; both people and animals will flee away. (niv)

The Lord anointed you king over Israel.And he sent you on a mission, saying,‘ Go and completely destroy those wicked people, the Amalekites; wage war against them until you have wiped them out.’Why did you not obey the Lord? Why did you pounce on the plunder and do evil in the eyes of the Lord?”“ But I did obey the Lord,” Saul said.“ I went on the mission the Lord assigned me. To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams.For rebellion is like the sin of divination, and arrogance like the evil of idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, he has rejected you as king.”Then Saul said to Samuel,“ I have sinned. I violated the Lord’s command and your instructions.
