將來人民若問說：「永恆主我們的上帝為甚麼向我們行這一切事呢？」你就要對他們說：「你們怎樣離棄了我，在你們的地上事奉外人的神，你們也必怎樣在不屬於你們的地上服事外族人。」』

百姓若说：‘耶和华我们的神为什么向我们行这一切事呢？’你就对他们说：‘你们怎样离弃耶和华，在你们的地上侍奉外邦神，也必照样在不属你们的地上侍奉外邦人。’”

百姓若说：‘耶和华—我们的上帝为什么向我们行这一切事呢？’你就对他们说：‘你们怎样离弃我，在你们的地上事奉外邦神明，也必照样在不属你们的地上事奉外族人。’”

百姓若说：‘耶和华—我们的神为什么向我们行这一切事呢？’你就对他们说：‘你们怎样离弃我，在你们的地上事奉外邦神明，也必照样在不属你们的地上事奉外族人。’”

耶利米啊，如果有人问，‘为什么我们的上帝耶和华这样待我们？’你可以对他们说，‘你们怎样背弃耶和华，在自己的土地上供奉外族的神明，也要怎样在异地他乡服侍外族人。’

“将来如果有人问：‘耶和华我们的神，为什么向我们行这一切事呢？’你就要对他们说：‘你们怎样离弃我，在你们的土地上事奉外族人的神，你们也要在不属你们的土地上照样服事外族人。’”

百姓若說：『耶和華－我們的神為甚麼向我們行這一切事呢？』你就對他們說：『你們怎樣離棄耶和華，在你們的地上事奉外邦神，也必照樣在不屬你們的地上事奉外邦人。』」

百姓若說：『耶和華－我們的上帝為甚麼向我們行這一切事呢？』你就對他們說：『你們怎樣離棄我，在你們的地上事奉外邦神明，也必照樣在不屬你們的地上事奉外族人。』」

百姓若說：『耶和華－我們的神為甚麼向我們行這一切事呢？』你就對他們說：『你們怎樣離棄我，在你們的地上事奉外邦神明，也必照樣在不屬你們的地上事奉外族人。』」

耶利米啊，如果有人問，『為什麼我們的上帝耶和華這樣待我們？』你可以對他們說，『你們怎樣背棄耶和華，在自己的土地上供奉外族的神明，也要怎樣在異地他鄉服侍外族人。』

“將來如果有人問：‘耶和華我們的神，為甚麼向我們行這一切事呢？’你就要對他們說：‘你們怎樣離棄我，在你們的土地上事奉外族人的神，你們也要在不屬你們的土地上照樣服事外族人。’”

爾曹若云、我上帝耶和華何為以此加我、爾當語之曰、爾曹棄我、奉事他神於爾境、如是、亦必奉事外人於非爾之地、○

如有詰先知者、謂我之上帝耶和華降災於我曷故。先知必曰、爾棄耶和華、在爾故土、崇事非爾之上帝、故必在非爾之地、從事異邦人。

民若曰、主我之天主、降此諸災於我何故、爾耶利米則謂之曰、主曰、爾既棄我、於爾地事異邦之神、故必在非爾之地、事異邦之人、

And when the people ask,‘ Why has the Lord our God done all this to us?’ you will tell them,‘ As you have forsaken me and served foreign gods in your own land, so now you will serve foreigners in a land not your own.’

“‘ Jeremiah,’ the people will ask,‘ Why has the Lord our God done all this to us?’ Then you will tell them,‘ You have deserted the Lord. You have served other gods in your own land. So now you will serve another nation in a land that is not your own.’

And when your people say,‘ Why has the Lord our God done all these things to us?’ you shall say to them,‘ As you have forsaken me and served foreign gods in your land, so you shall serve foreigners in a land that is not yours.’”

“ And when your people ask,‘ Why did the Lord our God do all this to us?’ you must reply,‘ You rejected him and gave yourselves to foreign gods in your own land. Now you will serve foreigners in a land that is not your own.’

When people ask,‘ For what offense has the LORD our God done all these things to us?’ You will respond to them,‘ Just as you abandoned me and served foreign gods in your land, so will you serve strangers in a land that is not yours.’

And it shall come about when they say,‘ Why has the Lord our God done all these things to us?’ then you shall say to them,‘ Just as you have abandoned Me and served foreign gods in your land, so you will serve strangers in a land that is not yours.’

And it will be when you say,‘ Why does the Lord our God do all these things to us?’ then you shall answer them,‘ Just as you have forsaken Me and served foreign gods in your land, so you shall serve aliens in a land that is not yours.’

And it shall come to pass, when ye shall say, Wherefore hath Jehovah our God done all these things unto us? then shalt thou say unto them, Like as ye have forsaken me, and served foreign gods in your land, so shall ye serve strangers in a land that is not yours.

When people ask,‘ For what offense has the Lord our God done all these things to us?’ You will respond to them: Just as you abandoned Me and served foreign gods in your land, so will you serve strangers in a land that is not yours.

And it shall come to pass, when ye shall say, Wherefore doeth the LORD our God all these[ things] unto us? then shalt thou answer them, Like as ye have forsaken me, and served strange gods in your land, so shall ye serve strangers in a land[ that is] not yours.

“ So then, Jeremiah, when your people ask,‘ Why has the LORD our God done all this to us?’ tell them,‘ It is because you rejected me and served foreign gods in your own land. So you must serve foreigners in a land that does not belong to you.’

It will happen, when you say,‘ Why has Yahweh our God done all these things to us?’ Then you shall say to them,‘ Just as you have forsaken me, and served foreign gods in your land, so you will serve strangers in a land that is not yours.’

這殿必成為荒堆；凡從這裏經過的人都必驚訝嗤笑、說：「永恆主為甚麼辦這地和這殿到這樣呢？」人必回答說：「是因為這地的人離棄了那領他們列祖出埃及地的永恆主他們的上帝，去依附着別的神、而敬拜服事他們；所以永恆主才使這一切災禍臨到他們呀。」』

你若心裏詰問說：「這一切事為甚麼臨到我呢？」你的裙子被揭起，你的屁股受蹧蹋，是因你的罪孽很多呀。

『「必有許多國的人要經過這城，彼此對問說：『永恆主為甚麼這樣罰辦這個大城呢？』他們就必回答說：『是因為他們離棄了永恆主他們的上帝的約，去敬拜服事別的神呀。』」』

『因為你不為了樣樣富足的緣故而以歡樂高興的心事奉永恆主你的上帝，故此你必在饑餓乾渴、赤身裸體、樣樣缺乏之中去服事永恆主所打發來攻擊你的仇敵；他必用鐵軛加在你脖子上，直到將你消滅。

這些看見的人、和萬國人必都說：「永恆主為甚麼這樣辦此地呢？這樣大的烈怒是甚麼意思呢？」那麼人就必說：「是因為這地的人背棄了他們列祖的上帝的約，背棄了上帝在領他們出埃及時與他們所立的約，去事奉敬拜別的神；這些神是他們素來不認識的，是永恆主所沒有分給他們去敬拜的；因此永恆主向這地發怒，將這書上所寫的一切咒詛都帶到這地來；而永恆主在怒氣烈怒中、在大震怒中、就把他們從他們的土地上拔出來，給丟在別的地上、像今日一樣。」

因此我必將你們從這地拋擲出去，直拋到你們素不認識的地，你們和你們列祖都不認識的；在那裏你們儘可以晝夜事奉別的神啊！因為我必不向你們施恩。」

『將來你把這一切話告訴這人民，他們若問你說：「永恆主為甚麼說要降這一切大災禍來懲罰我們？我們有甚麼罪孽呢？我們是犯了甚麼罪去得罪了永恆主我們的上帝呢？」你就要對他們說：「永恆主發神諭說：是因為你們列祖離棄了我，去隨從別的神，而事奉敬拜他們，卻離棄了我，不遵守我的律法；

對這座這麼高聳的殿、凡從這裏經過的人、個個都必驚訝着說：「永恆主為甚麼向這地和這殿這樣辦呢？」人必回答說：「是因為這地的人離棄了永恆主他們列祖的上帝、那領他們出埃及地的上帝，去依附着別的神、而敬拜服事他們；故此永恆主才使這一切災禍臨到了他們。」』

『你們在那地住久了，生子養孫，若敗壞了自己、去造雕像，造任何東西的形像，行永恆主你的上帝所看為壞的事、去惹他發怒，那麼、我今日就呼天喚地來警告你們，你們必定從過約但河取得為業的地上迅速地滅亡；你們在那地必不能延年益壽，總必完全被消滅。永恆主必使你們分散於萬族之民中；在永恆主所要領你們到的列國中、你們剩下的人數必稀少。在那裏你們必事奉人手所造的神，木頭石頭的，不能看、不能聽、不能喫、不能聞的神。

然而你還說：「我無辜；主的怒氣必定向我轉消。」看吧，我一定要判罰你，因為你自己說：「我沒有犯罪。」

做奴僕的轄制我們；沒有人搶救我們脫離他們的手。

因為我的人民作了兩件壞事：就是離棄了我這活水之源頭，去為自己鑿出池子，破裂的池子，不能存水的。
