耶和華告以色列族曰、遠方有國、歷年已久、其民強悍、其方言爾不識。其所語爾不明、我必使之攻爾。

People of Israel,” declares the Lord,“ I am bringing a distant nation against you— an ancient and enduring nation, a people whose language you do not know, whose speech you do not understand.

耶和華必使遠民、如鷹之飛、來自地極。攻擊爾曹、其方言爾不之識、

當告列邦、使耶路撒冷人知勁旅來自遠方、欲攻猶大諸邑。

曰、我必以諸國方言及異音、普告斯民、

必張其旌旆、號召地極之民、招徠遠方之眾、倉猝之間、無不咸集、

蓋我必召北方諸族、咸至斯土、置座於耶路撒冷邑門城垣、及猶大諸邑。

昔異邦之人、其容強悍、其言方言、爾不之識、今則不復見聞矣、

我必使我僕巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒、率北方之眾、攻斯土之民、及四周鄰國、滅之殆盡、使見之者駭愕、皆作怨聲。

天上上帝、賜爾秉國之鈞、能力俱備、榮光丕著為諸王之王、天下居民、野獸飛鳥、歸王掌握、所夢金首、即爾是也、

埃及、猶大、以東、亞捫、摩押、與薙鬚之四周、居於曠野者、俱未受割、以色列族心未受割、皆遭重譴。

盜被執則愧恥、以色列族、王公、祭司、先知、庶民、無不懹慙、亦若是。

耶和華曰、試觀異邦人、殊可駭異、當爾之時、吾將有所為、雖有人告爾、爾亦不信、我將使迦勒底人振興、殘忍疾作、遍行天下、強據邦國、其威可畏、聽訟之時、獨斷獨行、彼之驍騎、行疾於豹、趨迅於狼、狼夜出、其暴更甚、乘者遠來、橫行四方、迅速若鷹、吞噬其所得、其色甚厲、若東風驟起、既至斯土、強據人民、所獲俘囚、有若海沙、藐視君王、姍笑牧伯、譏嘲城邑、築土壘而下之、

萬有之主耶和華、視以色列族猶大之民、無異葡萄園、無異嘉種、使行仁從義、惟彼嗜殺人、行暴虐、小民號呼。

蓋以色列族、猶大家、負予特甚。

萬有之主耶和華、將以霹靂地震、狂飆烈燄、降罰於異邦人。

載在律法、主曰、雖以諸國方言、及異音諭斯民、其亦不聽我矣、

時夜未央、又見一獸、剛強可畏、鐵齒甚巨、肆其吞噬、骨肉斷傷、其餘悉遭蹂躪、獸有十角、與前三獸、大相殊異、

耶和華曰、大邦之民、勃然而興、來從北方、至自地極。

我使敵至、築壘建臺、環攻斯城、

以色列族乎、當革爾惡行、新爾心神、奚為自取其死。

勿自以為亞伯拉罕吾祖也、吾語爾、上帝能使此石為亞伯拉罕子孫焉、今斧置樹根、凡樹不結善果者、即砍之委火、
