I will bring terror on you from all those around you,” declares the Lord, the Lord Almighty.“ Every one of you will be driven away, and no one will gather the fugitives.

城市被攻取，堅壘被佔領；在那日，摩押勇士的心必驚慌，像臨產婦人的心一樣。摩押必被摧毀，不再成為一個民族，因為它向耶和華妄自尊大。摩押的居民哪！恐懼、陷阱、圈套都落在你們身上了。”這是耶和華的宣告。“那逃避恐懼的，必跌進陷阱；那從陷阱中出來的，必被圈套困著。因為我必使摩押受懲罰的年日臨到它。”這是耶和華的宣告。

你們一個一個經過城牆的破口出去，被丟棄在哈門。”這是耶和華的宣告。

因為耶和華這樣說：‘看哪！我要使你自己和你所有的朋友都驚惶失措；他們必倒在他們仇敵的刀下，你也必親眼看見。我要把全猶大交在巴比倫王手中；他要把他們擄到巴比倫去，或用刀擊殺他們。

看哪，我要使他的心驚顫（“使他的心驚顫”原文作“放一個靈在他裡面”），他將聽見消息，就退回自己的地方去；我要使他在自己的國土倒在刀下。’”

因為主使亞蘭人的軍隊聽見戰車、戰馬和大軍的聲音；他們就彼此說：“看哪，一定是以色列王雇用了赫人的眾王和埃及人的眾王來攻擊我們。”於是他們在黃昏的時候起來逃跑，他們丟下他們的帳幕，他們的馬匹和他們的驢子；軍營仍在那裡，他們卻只顧逃命去了。

惡人雖然沒有人追趕，仍然逃跑；義人卻像獅子，放膽無懼。

你兄弟遭遇禍患的日子，你不該看著不理；猶大人被滅的日子，你不該幸災樂禍；他們遭難的日子，你不該張口狂傲；我子民遭災的日子，你不該進入他們的城門；他們遭災的日子，你不該看著他們受苦；他們遭災的日子，你不該搶奪他們的財物。你不該站在岔路口，剪除他們中間逃脫的人；他們遭難的日子，你不該把他們生還的人交出來。

對他們二人說：“我知道耶和華已經把這地賜給你們了，你們使我們十分害怕，這地所有的居民都在你們面前膽戰心驚。

“求你給我們獻謀略，作裁判！使你的影子在午間如同黑夜，把被趕逐的人隱藏起來，不可出賣逃亡的人。

恐怖之聲常在他的耳中，太平的時候，強盜就來襲擊他。
