所以你看，日子必到，永恆主發神諭說，我必使人聽見戰爭的吶喊，攻擊亞捫人之拉巴的喊嚷；拉巴必成為淒涼的廢堆山；屬它的鄉鎮必被火焚燒；以色列必把先前佔取他的、佔取過來：這是永恆主說的。

故耶和華曰、時日將至、我必使戰鬥之警、聞於亞捫人之拉巴、俾其成為邱墟、屬邑為火所焚、其時以色列、必據昔據以色列者、耶和華言之矣、

故耶和華曰、時日將至、我必使戰鬥之聲、聞於亞捫族之喇巴邑、城垣變為瓦礫、居民盡遭焚燬、以色列族、昔為敵所虜、後轉虜其敵。

故主曰、時日將至、我必使戰爭之聲、聞於亞捫族之拉巴、拉巴成為荒邱、屬拉巴之鄉里、被火焚燬、敵人昔據以色列之地、今以色列轉得敵人之地、此乃主所言、

But the days are coming,” declares the Lord,“ when I will sound the battle cry against Rabbah of the Ammonites; it will become a mound of ruins, and its surrounding villages will be set on fire. Then Israel will drive out those who drove her out,” says the Lord.

In the days to come,” says the Lord,“ I will sound the battle cry against your city of Rabbah. It will become a desolate heap of ruins, and the neighboring towns will be burned. Then Israel will take back the land you took from her,” says the Lord.

Therefore look, the days are coming— this is the LORD’s declaration— when I will make the shout of battle heard against Rabbah of the Ammonites. It will become a desolate mound, and its surrounding villages will be set on fire. Israel will dispossess their dispossessors, says the LORD.

Because you did that, I, the LORD, affirm that a time is coming when I will make Rabbah, the capital city of Ammon, hear the sound of the battle cry. It will become a mound covered with ruins. Its villages will be burned to the ground. Then Israel will take back its land from those who took their land from them. I, the Lord, affirm it!

Therefore behold, the days come,” says Yahweh,“ that I will cause an alarm of war to be heard against Rabbah of the children of Ammon; and it will become a desolate heap, and her daughters will be burned with fire: then Israel will possess those who possessed him,” says Yahweh.

利乏音人所剩下的只有巴珊王噩。看哪，他的床是鐵床，按照人肘的度量，長九肘，寬四肘，現今不是在亞捫人的拉巴嗎？」

你要劃定一條路，使刀來到亞捫人的拉巴，來到猶大，在堅固城耶路撒冷。

我要在戰爭吶喊的日子，在旋風狂吹時，在拉巴城內放火，吞滅它的宮殿；

過了一年，正是諸王出戰的時候，大衛派約押率領臣僕和以色列眾人出去。他們打敗亞捫人，圍攻拉巴。大衛仍然留在耶路撒冷。

所以，看哪，我要把你交給東方人為業；他們必在你中間安營居住，設立居所，吃你的果子，喝你的奶。我必使拉巴成為牧放駱駝之地，使亞捫成為羊羣躺臥之處，你們就知道我是耶和華。主耶和華如此說：因你們拍手頓足，幸災樂禍，藐視以色列地，

耶和華啊，因你的判斷，錫安聽見就歡喜；猶大的城鎮也都快樂。

以色列人奪取這裏所有的城鎮，就住在亞摩利人的城鎮中，包括希實本和所屬的一切鄉鎮。

耶和華要憐憫雅各，再度揀選以色列，將他們安頓在本地。寄居的必與他們聯合，加入雅各家。外邦人要將他們帶回本地。以色列家必在耶和華的地上得外邦人為僕婢，也要擄掠先前擄掠他們的，轄制先前欺壓他們的。當耶和華使你得享安息，脫離愁苦、煩惱，和被迫做苦工的日子，

因你的判斷，錫安山應當歡喜，猶大的城鎮應當快樂。

摩西按着迦得支派的宗族分產業給他們。他們的地界是雅謝和基列的各城，以及亞捫人之地的一半，直到拉巴前面的亞羅珥；

你的姊姊是撒瑪利亞，她和她的女兒們住在你北邊；你的妹妹是所多瑪，她和她的女兒們住在你南邊。你不只效法她們的行為，照她們可憎的事去做，不消多時，你所做的一切就比她們更惡。主耶和華說：我指着我的永生起誓，你的妹妹所多瑪與她的女兒們並未做你和你女兒們所做的事。看哪，你的妹妹所多瑪的罪孽是這樣：她和她的女兒們都驕傲，糧源充足，大享安逸，卻不扶持困苦和貧窮人的手。她們狂傲，在我面前做可憎的事，我看見了就把她們除掉。撒瑪利亞所犯的罪不及你的一半，你所做可憎的事比她更多；比起你所做這一切可憎的事，你的姊妹倒顯為義。你既為你的姊妹辯護，就要擔當自己的羞辱。因你所犯的罪比她們更可憎，她們比你倒顯為義；你既使你的姊妹顯為義，就要抱愧，擔當自己的羞辱。」「我必使她們被擄的歸回，使所多瑪和她的女兒們、撒瑪利亞和她的女兒們，並與你一起被擄的都歸回；好使你擔當自己的羞辱，為所做的一切抱愧，讓她們得到安慰。你的妹妹所多瑪和她的女兒們必回復原狀；撒瑪利亞和她的女兒們必回復原狀；你和你的女兒們也必回復原狀。

論亞捫人。耶和華如此說：以色列沒有兒子嗎？沒有後嗣嗎？米勒公為何承受迦得為業呢？屬它的百姓為何住其中的城鎮呢？

他們必得尼革夫和以掃山，得謝非拉，非利士人之地，他們必得以法蓮地和撒瑪利亞地，得便雅憫和基列；

約押派使者到大衛那裏，說：「我攻打拉巴，也攻佔了水城。現在你要召集其餘的軍兵，安營圍攻這城，攻佔它，免得我攻佔這城，人就以我的名叫這城。」於是大衛召集全軍，往拉巴去攻城，就攻佔了它。
