但耶和华既吩咐了它，又怎能停下来呢？他指派了它去攻击亚实基伦和沿海一带。

耶和華吩咐它攻擊亞實基倫和海邊之地，既已派定它，你怎能靜止不動呢？

但永恆主既吩咐它攻擊亞實基倫和沿海一帶，主既已派定它在那裏，它怎能安靜下來呢？』

耶和華既有命、爾焉能休息乎、攻亞實基倫及海濱、乃彼所定也、

耶和華既命之攻亞實基倫及海濱之人、焉能藏其鋒乎。

主既命之在亞實基倫、在海濱大行殺戮、焉能止息、

But how can it rest when the Lord has commanded it, when he has ordered it to attack Ashkelon and the coast?”

But how can his sword rest when the Lord has given it a command? He has ordered it to attack Ashkelon and the Philistine coast.”

How can it be quiet when the Lord has given it a charge? Against Ashkelon and against the seashore he has appointed it.”

“ But how can it be still when the Lord has sent it on a mission? For the city of Ashkelon and the people living along the sea must be destroyed.”

How can it rest when the LORD has given it a command? He has assigned it against Ashkelon and the shore of the sea.

How can it be quiet, When the Lord has given it an order? Against Ashkelon and against the sea shore— There He has summoned it.”

How can it be quiet, Seeing the Lord has given it a charge Against Ashkelon and against the seashore? There He has appointed it.”

How canst thou be quiet, seeing Jehovah hath given thee a charge? Against Ashkelon, and against the sea- shore, there hath he appointed it.

How can it rest when the Lord has given it a command? He has assigned it against Ashkelon and the shore of the sea.

But how can it rest when I, the LORD, have given it orders? I have ordered it to attack the people of Ashkelon and the seacoast.

“ How can you be quiet, since Yahweh has given you a command? Against Ashkelon, and against the seashore, there has he appointed it.”

或者我使刀劍臨到那地，說：刀劍哪，要經過那地，以致我將人與牲畜從其中剪除；

耶和華向這城呼叫，智慧人必敬畏他的名。你們當聽是誰派定刑杖的懲罰。

我要打發他攻擊褻瀆的國民，吩咐他攻擊我所惱怒的百姓，搶財為擄物，奪貨為掠物，將他們踐踏，像街上的泥土一樣。

沿海之地要變為草場，其上有牧人的住處和羊羣的圈。這地必為猶大家剩下的人所得；他們必在那裏牧放羣羊，晚上必躺臥在亞實基倫的房屋中；因為耶和華－他們的神必眷顧他們，使他們被擄的人歸回。

現在你要去擊打亞瑪力人，滅盡他們所有的，不可憐惜他們，將男女、孩童、吃奶的，並牛、羊、駱駝，和驢盡行殺死。』」

我從起初指明末後的事，從古時言明未成的事，說：我的籌算必立定；凡我所喜悅的，我必成就。我召鷙鳥從東方來，召那成就我籌算的人從遠方來。我已說出，也必成就；我已謀定，也必做成。

所以主耶和華如此說：我必伸手攻擊非利士人，剪除基利提人，滅絕沿海剩下的居民。

我－耶和華所膏的塞魯士；我攙扶他的右手，使列國降伏在他面前。我也要放鬆列王的腰帶，使城門在他面前敞開，不得關閉。我對他如此說：我必在你前面行，修平崎嶇之地。我必打破銅門，砍斷鐵閂。我要將暗中的寶物和隱密的財寶賜給你，使你知道提名召你的，就是我－耶和華、以色列的神。

我吩咐我所挑出來的人；我招呼我的勇士－就是那矜誇高傲之輩，為要成就我怒中所定的。

城中若吹角，百姓豈不驚恐呢？災禍若臨到一城，豈非耶和華所降的嗎？

耶和華說：你豈沒有聽見我早先所做的、古時所立的嗎？現在藉你使堅固城荒廢，變為亂堆。
