耶和華云、有水自北方湧出、將成汎濫之河、淹沒斯土、與其所有、及厥城邑居民、眾皆哀哭、境內諸民號咷、

耶和華曰、大河自北至、勢若洪濤、泛濫斯土、諸邑民人、盡遭淹沒、號呼哭泣不已。

主如是云、水自北至、成為漲溢之河、泛濫斯地、淹沒其上所有、淹沒城邑與其居民、人俱號呼、居民哀哭、

This is what the Lord says:“ See how the waters are rising in the north; they will become an overflowing torrent. They will overflow the land and everything in it, the towns and those who live in them. The people will cry out; all who dwell in the land will wail

The Lord said,“ The armies of Babylon are like waters rising in the north. They will become a great flood. They will flow over the land and everything in it. They will flow over the towns and those who live in them. The people will cry out. All those who live in the land will weep.

“ Thus says the Lord: Behold, waters are rising out of the north, and shall become an overflowing torrent; they shall overflow the land and all that fills it, the city and those who dwell in it. Men shall cry out, and every inhabitant of the land shall wail.

This is what the Lord says:“ A flood is coming from the north to overflow the land. It will destroy the land and everything in it— cities and people alike. People will scream in terror, and everyone in the land will wail.

聽見從但那裏敵人的馬噴鼻氣，他的壯馬發嘶聲，全地就都震動；因為他們來吞滅這地和其上所有的，吞滅這城與其中的居民。

他們上巴益，又往底本，到高處去哭泣。摩押人因尼波和米底巴哀號，各人頭上光禿，鬍鬚剃淨。他們在街市上都腰束麻布，在房頂上和寬闊處俱各哀號，眼淚汪汪。希實本和以利亞利悲哀的聲音達到雅雜，所以摩押帶兵器的高聲喊嚷，人心戰兢。我心為摩押悲哀；他的貴冑逃到瑣珥，到伊基拉‧施利施亞。他們上魯希坡，隨走隨哭；在何羅念的路上，因毀滅舉起哀聲。

耶和華對我說：「必有災禍從北方發出，臨到這地的一切居民。」

願天歡喜，願地快樂！願海和其中所充滿的澎湃！

哀聲遍聞摩押的四境；哀號的聲音達到以基蓮；哀號的聲音達到比珥‧以琳。

地和其中所充滿的，世界和住在其間的，都屬耶和華。

如此，人從日落之處必敬畏耶和華的名，從日出之地也必敬畏他的榮耀；因為仇敵好像急流的河水沖來，是耶和華之氣所驅逐的。

蛇就在婦人身後，從口中吐出水來，像河一樣，要將婦人沖去。地卻幫助婦人，開口吞了從龍口吐出來的水。

摩押何等毀壞！何等哀號！何等羞愧轉背！這樣，摩押必令四圍的人嗤笑驚駭。」

從何羅念有喊荒涼大毀滅的哀聲：摩押毀滅了！她的孩童發哀聲，使人聽見。人上魯希坡隨走隨哭，因為在何羅念的下坡聽見毀滅的哀聲。

願海和其中所充滿的澎湃；世界和住在其間的也要發聲。

耶和華對先知耶利米所說的話，論到巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒要來攻擊埃及地：

嗐！你們這些富足人哪，應當哭泣、號咷，因為將有苦難臨到你們身上。

我若是飢餓，我不用告訴你，因為世界和其中所充滿的都是我的。

門哪，應當哀號！城啊，應當呼喊！非利士全地啊，你都消化了！因為有煙從北方出來，他行伍中並無亂隊的。

若有人對你們說：「這是獻過祭的物」，就要為那告訴你們的人，並為良心的緣故不吃。

但他必以漲溢的洪水淹沒尼尼微，又驅逐仇敵進入黑暗。

耶和華說：當那日，從魚門必發出悲哀的聲音，從二城發出哀號的聲音，從山間發出大破裂的響聲。瑪革提施的居民哪，你們要哀號，因為迦南的商民都滅亡了！凡搬運銀子的都被剪除。

必有無數的軍兵勢如洪水，在他面前沖沒敗壞；同盟的君也必如此。

天使又對我說：「你所看見那淫婦坐的眾水，就是多民、多人、多國、多方。

主－萬軍之耶和華摸地，地就消化，凡住在地上的都必悲哀。地必全然像尼羅河漲起，如同埃及河落下。那在天上建造樓閣、在地上安定穹蒼、命海水澆在地上的－耶和華是他的名。

拿着七碗的七位天使中，有一位前來對我說：「你到這裏來，我將坐在眾水上的大淫婦所要受的刑罰指給你看。

我必以公平為準繩，以公義為線鉈。冰雹必沖去謊言的避所；大水必漫過藏身之處。

所以我說：你們轉眼不看我，我要痛哭。不要因我眾民的毀滅，就竭力安慰我。因為主－萬軍之耶和華使「異象谷」有潰亂、踐踏、煩擾的日子。城被攻破，哀聲達到山間。

因為地和其中所充滿的都屬乎主。

不要容快跑的逃避；不要容勇士逃脫；他們在北方幼發拉底河邊絆跌仆倒。像尼羅河漲發，像江河之水翻騰的是誰呢？埃及像尼羅河漲發，像江河的水翻騰。他說：我要漲發遮蓋遍地；我要毀滅城邑和其中的居民。
