The Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says:“ I am about to bring punishment on Amon god of Thebes, on Pharaoh, on Egypt and her gods and her kings, and on those who rely on Pharaoh.

The Lord who rules over all is the God of Israel. He says,“ I am about to punish Amon, the god of Thebes. I will also punish Pharaoh. I will punish Egypt and its gods and kings. And I will punish those who depend on Pharaoh.

The Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, said:“ Behold, I am bringing punishment upon Amon of Thebes, and Pharaoh and Egypt and her gods and her kings, upon Pharaoh and those who trust in him.

The Lord of Heaven’s Armies, the God of Israel, says:“ I will punish Amon, the god of Thebes, and all the other gods of Egypt. I will punish its rulers and Pharaoh, too, and all who trust in him.

以色列人必因他们所仰望的古实和他们所夸耀的埃及，惊惶羞愧。到那日，这沿海的居民必说：‘看哪！我们所仰望的，就是我们为着脱离亚述王，逃往投靠的，也不过是这样。我们又怎能逃脱呢？’”

或说：‘不！我们要去埃及地，在那里看不到战争，听不见号角的声音，也不会因缺乏粮食而饥饿；我们要留在那里。’这样，犹大余剩的人哪，你们现在要听耶和华的话！万军之耶和华以色列的神这样说：‘你们若决意去埃及，到那里寄居，你们惧怕的刀剑必在埃及地追上你们；你们恐惧的饥荒必在埃及紧随着你们；你们必死在那里。

你比挪亚们还强吗？挪亚们位于尼罗河流域，周围有水环绕；海是她的屏障，水作她的墙垣。古实和埃及，是她无穷的力量，弗人和路比族，是她的（按照《马索拉文本》，「她的」作「你的」;现参照《七十士译本》翻译）助手。

我必降火在玛各和安居在沿海地带的人身上，他们就知道我是耶和华。“‘我要在我子民以色列中彰显我的圣名，我必不再让我的圣名被亵渎；这样，列国就知道我是耶和华，是以色列中的圣者。

我使你在列国中灭亡的消息，传到你所不认识的列邦的时候，我必使万族的心感到不安。我在他们面前向你挥动刀剑的时候，他们必因你惊骇，他们的君王也必因你非常恐慌；在你倾覆的日子，他们各人都必为自己的性命时刻战兢。“‘主耶和华这样说：巴比伦王的刀必临到你。我必藉着勇士的刀使你的众民倒下，这些勇士都是列国中最强横的人。他们必毁灭埃及所夸耀的；埃及的众民都必消灭。

他们起程下埃及去，并没有求问我，却要在法老的保护下，作避难处，投靠在埃及的荫庇下。因此，法老的保护必成为你们的羞耻，投靠在埃及的荫庇下，变成你们的耻辱。

主耶和华这样说：“‘我必毁灭偶像，使虚无的神像从挪弗灭绝。必不再有君王从埃及地而出；我也必使惧怕临到埃及地。我必使巴忒罗荒凉，也必在琐安点起火来，又向挪施行审判。我必把我的烈怒倒在训上，就是埃及的保障，并要剪除挪的众民。我必在埃及点起火来；训必有大痛苦；挪必被攻破；挪弗必终日受难。

关于埃及的默示：看哪！耶和华驾着轻快的云，来到埃及；埃及的偶像在他面前战兢，埃及人的心都惊怕。

那些下埃及求帮助，倚靠马匹，倚靠众多战车，依靠十分强壮的马兵，却不仰望以色列的圣者，也不求问耶和华的，有祸了！耶和华是智慧的，他必降下灾祸，决不收回自己的话，却要起来攻击作恶者之家，又攻击那些助人作孽的。埃及人是人，并不是神；他们的马匹是血肉，并不是灵；耶和华一伸手，那帮助人的就绊倒，那受帮助的也必仆倒，并且一同灭亡。

耶和华这样说：“倚靠世人，恃凭肉体为自己的力量，心里偏离耶和华的，这人该受咒诅。他必像沙漠中的灌木，福乐来到，他也必看不见，却要住在旷野干旱之地、无人居住的咸地。
