彼以金募壯士、俱若肥牛、災害既臨、敗北而遁、不能禦敵。

其中募卒、亦若肥犢、災害之日既至、患難之時既臨、則咸轉身而遁、不立而禦敵、

The mercenaries in her ranks are like fattened calves. They too will turn and flee together, they will not stand their ground, for the day of disaster is coming upon them, the time for them to be punished.

Hired soldiers are in Egypt’s army. They are like fat calves. All of them will turn and run away. They will not hold their positions. The day of trouble is coming on them. The time for them to be punished is near.

Even her hired soldiers in her midst are like fattened calves; yes, they have turned and fled together; they did not stand, for the day of their calamity has come upon them, the time of their punishment.

Egypt’s mercenaries have become like fattened calves. They, too, will turn and run, for it is a day of great disaster for Egypt, a time of great punishment.

Even her mercenaries among her are like stall-fed calves. They too will turn back; together they will flee; they will not take their stand, for the day of their calamity is coming on them, the time of their punishment.

Also her mercenaries in her midst Are like fattened calves, For they too have turned away and have fled together; They did not stand their ground. For the day of their disaster has come upon them, The time of their punishment.

Also her mercenaries are in her midst like fat bulls, For they also are turned back, They have fled away together. They did not stand, For the day of their calamity had come upon them, The time of their punishment.

Also her hired men in the midst of her are like calves of the stall; for they also are turned back, they are fled away together, they did not stand: for the day of their calamity is come upon them, the time of their visitation.

Also her hired men[ are] in the midst of her like fatted bullocks; for they also are turned back,[ and] are fled away together: they did not stand, because the day of their calamity was come upon them,[ and] the time of their visitation.

Even her mercenaries will prove to be like pampered, well-fed calves. For they too will turn and run away. They will not stand their ground when the time for them to be destroyed comes, the time for them to be punished.

蓋耶和華使亞蘭軍旅、聞車聲馬聲、大軍之聲、則相語曰、以色列王必賄赫族、與埃及諸王、來攻我矣、

我民遇禍之日、爾不可入其邑門、受罰之日、爾不可旁觀其苦、罹害之日、爾不可攘取其財、

主必哂之、因見其日將至兮、

懲罰之日既至、報施之日已來、以色列必知之、先知愚妄、感於靈者顚狂、因爾多罪、怨恨特甚、

宰其牡犢、使至屠所、禍哉其人、蓋彼受罰之日至矣、

亞捫族知己為大衛所惡、遂遣人募伯利合與瑣巴之亞蘭人、步卒二萬、及瑪迦王所偕之人一千、陀伯人一萬二千、

偃臥於象牙之牀、舒體於榻、食羣中之羔、與牢中之犢、

其至善者、等於荊榛、其至正者、劣於棘籬、爾守望者所宣懲罰之日、今已至矣、爾必驚擾、

野牛與犢、以及牡牛、同就死地、其地因血而醉、其土因脂而腴、

茹菜蔬而相愛、愈於食太牢而相憾、

我將於敵前散之、若以東風飄之、彼遭難之日、我必背之、而不面之、○

當受罰之日、災禍遙臨、爾將何為、求拯濟於何人、置貨財於何處、

馬其疾上、車其急馳、為勇士者、執干之古實與弗人、挽弓之路德人、其出哉、

刧我業者歟、緣爾欣喜懽忭、放恣若踐穀之犢、嘶鳴若健馬、

爾之壯士、曷被衝沒、彼之不立、因耶和華逐之也、彼令多人顚仆、互相枕藉、乃曰起哉、我儕歸本族、返故土、以避兇刃、

因爾恆懷仇怨、且於以色列族遭難之時、受罰之際、付之於刃、

波斯路德弗人、在爾行伍、為爾戰士、於爾邑中、懸干及冑、顯爾華美、亞發人與爾軍旅、環爾城垣、勇士守爾戍樓、城上四周懸干、成爾華美、

鋒刃必臨於埃及、其人被殺而仆、古實慘怛、民眾被虜、基址傾毀、古實、弗、路德、與雜族之人、及古巴與同盟國之眾、偕亡於刃、○耶和華曰、扶持埃及者必蹶、埃及恃力之高傲必降、自密奪至色弗尼、俱仆於刃、主耶和華言之矣、

耶書崙豐肥而奔踶、碩大而光澤、乃違離造之之上帝、藐視救之之磐石、
