难道你们忘记了你们的祖先、犹大列王及其嫔妃，以及你们自己和妻子在犹大和耶路撒冷街上的恶行吗？

爾祖之惡、及猶大王與后之惡、爾與爾妻之惡、即在猶大地、與耶路撒冷街衢所行者、爾忘之乎、

昔於猶大國、耶路撒冷逵衢爾列祖作惡、猶大王與后亦然、爾與爾妻、更無不然、爾豈忘之乎。

爾列祖之惡事、猶大列王之惡事、其后妃之惡事、爾曹之惡事、及爾妻之惡事、在猶大地、在耶路撒冷街衢所作者、爾豈忘之乎、

Have you forgotten the wickedness committed by your ancestors and by the kings and queens of Judah and the wickedness committed by you and your wives in the land of Judah and the streets of Jerusalem?

Have you forgotten the evil things done by your people of long ago? The kings and queens of Judah did those same things. So did you and your wives. They were done in the land of Judah and the streets of Jerusalem.

Have you forgotten the evil of your fathers, the evil of the kings of Judah, the evil of their wives, your own evil, and the evil of your wives, which they committed in the land of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem?

Have you forgotten the sins of your ancestors, the sins of the kings and queens of Judah, and the sins you and your wives committed in Judah and Jerusalem?

Have you forgotten the evils of your ancestors, the evils of Judah’s kings, the evils of their wives, your own evils, and the evils of your wives that were committed in the land of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem?

Have you forgotten the wickedness of your fathers, the wickedness of the kings of Judah and the wickedness of their wives, your own wickedness and the wickedness of your wives, which they committed in the land of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem?

Have you forgotten the wickedness of your fathers, the wickedness of the kings of Judah, the wickedness of their wives, your own wickedness, and the wickedness of your wives, which they committed in the land of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem?

Have you forgotten all the wicked things that have been done in the towns of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem by your ancestors, by the kings of Judah and their wives, by you and your wives?

他們在猶大城鎮和耶路撒冷街上所做的，你難道沒有看見嗎？孩子撿柴，父親燒火，婦女揉麵做餅，獻給天后，又向別神獻澆酒祭，惹我發怒。

從前我們在毗珥犯的罪孽，導致瘟疫臨到耶和華的會眾，甚至到今日都還沒有洗淨，這還算小事嗎？你們今日竟然離棄耶和華不跟從他！你們今日既然悖逆耶和華，明日他必向以色列全會眾發怒。若你們認為所得為業之地不潔淨，可以過來，到耶和華之地，就是耶和華的帳幕所居住之地，在我們中間得地業。你們卻不可悖逆耶和華，也不可背叛我們，在耶和華－我們神的壇以外為自己築壇。從前謝拉的曾孫亞干豈不是在那當滅的物上犯了罪，導致憤怒臨到以色列全會眾嗎？死在他所犯的罪中的，不只是他一個人而已！』」

從我們祖先的日子直到今日，我們的罪惡深重；因我們的罪孽，我們和君王、祭司都交在鄰國諸王的手中，被殺害，擄掠，搶奪，臉上蒙羞，正如今日的景況。現在耶和華－我們的神暫且向我們施恩，為我們留下一些殘存之民，使我們如釘子釘在他的聖所，讓我們的神光照我們的眼目，使我們在受轄制之中稍微復興。我們是奴僕，然而在受轄制之中，我們的神沒有丟棄我們，在波斯諸王面前向我們施恩，叫我們復興，能重建我們神的殿，修補毀壞之處，使我們在猶大和耶路撒冷有城牆。「我們的神啊，既然如此，現在我們還有甚麼話可說呢？因為我們離棄了你的誡命，就是你藉你僕人眾先知所吩咐的，說：『你們要去得為業之地是污穢之地，因列邦民族的污穢和可憎的事，叫這地從這邊到那邊都充滿了污穢。現在，不可把你們的女兒嫁給他們的兒子，也不可為你們的兒子娶他們的女兒，永不可求他們的平安和他們的利益，這樣你們就可以強盛，吃這地的美物，並把這地留給你們的子孫永遠為業。』我們因自己的惡行和大罪，遭遇這一切的事，但你－我們的神懲罰我們輕於我們罪所當得的，又為我們留下這些殘存之民。我們豈可再違背你的誡命，與行這些可憎之事的民族結親呢？若我們這樣行，你豈不向我們發怒，將我們滅絕，以致沒有一個餘民或殘存之民嗎？耶和華－以色列的神啊，你是公義的，我們才能剩下這些殘存之民，正如今日的景況。看哪，我們在你面前有罪惡，因此無人能在你面前站立得住。」

「你們與你們祖先、君王、官長，以及這地的百姓，在猶大城鎮和耶路撒冷街市上所燒的香，耶和華豈不記得，放在他心上嗎？

我們犯罪作惡，行惡叛逆，偏離你的誡命典章，沒有聽從你僕人眾先知奉你的名向我們君王、官長、祖先和這地所有百姓所說的話。主啊，你是公義的，但我們猶大人和耶路撒冷的居民，並你所趕到各國的以色列眾人，不論遠近，因為背叛了你，臉上蒙羞，正如今日一樣。耶和華啊，我們和我們的君王、官長、祖先因得罪了你，臉上就都蒙羞。

那些知道自己妻子向別神燒香的男人，與站在那裏的一大羣婦女，就是住埃及地巴特羅所有的百姓，回答耶利米說：「論到你奉耶和華的名向我們所說的話，我們必不聽從。我們定要照我們口中所說的一切話去做，向天后燒香，獻澆酒祭，按着我們與我們祖先、君王、官長在猶大城鎮和耶路撒冷街市上素常所做的一樣；因為那時我們得以吃飽、享福樂，並未遇見災禍。自從我們停止向天后燒香，獻澆酒祭，我們倒缺乏這一切，又因刀劍饑荒滅絕。」婦女們說：「我們向天后燒香，獻澆酒祭，做天后像的餅供奉它，向它獻澆酒祭，難道我們的丈夫沒有參與嗎？」
