This will be a sign to you’— this is the LORD’s declaration—‘ that I will punish you in this place, so you may know that my words of disaster concerning you will certainly come to pass.

“‘我要在这地方惩罚你们，这是给你们的征兆，好使你们知道我说要降祸给你们的话，一定实现。’这是耶和华的宣告。

永恆主發神諭說；我在這地方要察罰你們、必有以下這事給你們做兆頭，使你們知道我降禍與你們、的話一定立得住。

耶和華曰、我必罰爾於斯土、有兆可徵、使爾知我所言降禍於爾、其言必應、

耶和華又曰、我必罰爾、使爾知我言必有效驗、有兆堪徵。

主曰、我在伊及伊及原文作斯處將罰爾、有兆可證、使爾知我言降災於爾、必有效驗、

“‘ This will be the sign to you that I will punish you in this place,’ declares the Lord,‘ so that you will know that my threats of harm against you will surely stand.’

“‘ I will give you a sign that I will punish you in this place,’ announces the Lord.‘ Then you can be sure that my warnings of harm against you will come true.’

This shall be the sign to you, declares the Lord, that I will punish you in this place, in order that you may know that my words will surely stand against you for harm:

“‘ And this is the proof I give you,’ says the Lord,‘ that all I have threatened will happen to you and that I will punish you here.’

And this will be the sign to you,’ declares the Lord,‘ that I am going to punish you in this place, so that you may know that My words will assuredly stand against you for harm.’

And this shall be a sign to you,’ says the Lord,‘ that I will punish you in this place, that you may know that My words will surely stand against you for adversity.’

And this shall be the sign unto you, saith Jehovah, that I will punish you in this place, that ye may know that my words shall surely stand against you for evil:

This will be a sign to you’— this is the Lord’s declaration—‘ that I am about to punish you in this place, so you may know that My words of disaster concerning you will certainly come to pass.

And this[ shall be] a sign unto you, saith the LORD, that I will punish you in this place, that ye may know that my words shall surely stand against you for evil:

Moreover the LORD says,‘ I will make something happen to prove that I will punish you in this place. I will do it so that you will know that my threats to bring disaster on you will prove true.

“‘ This will be the sign to you,’ says Yahweh,‘ that I will punish you in this place, that you may know that my words will surely stand against you for evil.’

Many plans are in a person’s heart, but the LORD’s decree will prevail.

“ So when you see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place”( let the reader understand),“ then those in Judea must flee to the mountains.

The grass withers, the flowers fade, but the word of our God remains forever.”

This is what the LORD says: I am about to hand over Pharaoh Hophra, Egypt’s king, to his enemies, to those who intend to take his life, just as I handed over Judah’s King Zedekiah to Babylon’s King Nebuchadnezzar, who was his enemy, the one who intended to take his life.’”

“ When you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then recognize that its desolation has come near.Then those in Judea must flee to the mountains. Those inside the city must leave it, and those who are in the country must not enter it,

“ When you see the abomination of desolation standing where it should not be”( let the reader understand),“ then those in Judea must flee to the mountains.A man on the housetop must not come down or go in to get anything out of his house,and a man in the field must not go back to get his coat.

“ Learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its branch becomes tender and sprouts leaves, you know that summer is near.In the same way, when you see all these things, recognize that he is near— at the door.Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things take place.

Then he told them a parable:“ Look at the fig tree, and all the trees.As soon as they put out leaves you can see for yourselves and recognize that summer is already near.In the same way, when you see these things happening, recognize that the kingdom of God is near.Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all things take place.Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

This will be the sign that will come to you concerning your two sons Hophni and Phinehas: both of them will die on the same day.
