見爾作惡、深堪痛疾不能復忍、故使爾土荒蕪、無人居處、為人詛咒駭異、今日之事為證。

When the Lord could no longer endure your wicked actions and the detestable things you did, your land became a curse and a desolate waste without inhabitants, as it is today.

The Lord couldn’t put up any longer with the evil things you were doing. He hated the things you did. So your land became a curse. It became a dry and empty desert. No one lived there. And that’s the way it still is today.

The Lord could no longer bear your evil deeds and the abominations that you committed. Therefore your land has become a desolation and a waste and a curse, without inhabitant, as it is this day.

It was because the Lord could no longer bear all the disgusting things you were doing that he made your land an object of cursing— a desolate ruin without inhabitants— as it is today.

Finally the LORD could no longer endure your wicked deeds and the disgusting things you did. That is why your land has become the desolate, uninhabited ruin that it is today. That is why it has become a proverbial example used in curses.

Thus Yahweh could no longer bear it, because of the evil of your doings, and because of the abominations which you have committed. Therefore your land has become a desolation, and an astonishment, and a curse, without inhabitant, as it is today.

予耶路撒冷、及猶大諸邑、予厥王公、使邑毀滅、土地荒蕪、被人恥笑咒詛、有如今日、

爾不以金購香品奉我、不以犧牲之脂供我、惟屢干罪戾以煩瀆我、增益愆尤、使我難忍、

斯全地必荒蕪、令人驚駭、斯諸國之民、必服事巴比倫王、歷七十年、

敵如猛獅、出自洞穴、殘忍暴虐、忿怒甚烈、使其土地荒蕪矣、

以賽亞曰、大衛家當聽、爾使人厭煩、以為細事乎、亦欲使我天主厭煩乎、

猶大遺民、執意往居伊及者、我必除之、使之滅沒殞亡於伊及地、必遭鋒刃饑饉而滅、自小至大、悉死於鋒刃饑饉、受咒詛、令人驚駭、被詈罵、受羞辱、

致其地荒蕪、永為人所恥笑、凡過之者、必駭愕搖頭、

爾以言詞煩瀆主、爾曰、我於何處煩瀆主、曰、爾言作惡者、主視為善而悅之、或言秉公之主安在、

我怒盡發、以我之烈忿、加於其身、以我之烈忿加於其身或作降災其身以雪我忿則我心覺慰、我發盡我之烈忿、加於其身、彼則知我耶和華言之、乃因忌邪忌邪或作熱中而言也、

主曰、皆因彼不肯聽我言、我屢屢原文作每晨遣我僕眾先知警教之、竟不聽從、此乃主所言、

則我必使斯殿如示羅、使此邑為天下萬邦所詛、

我必使天下萬國、加之凌虐惡待、使其被羞辱、被諷刺、被譏誚、被咒詛、在我所逐之之各處、

主使江河之地、變為沙漠、泉源之處、變為旱地、主因居民之罪惡、使膏腴之地、變為鹵地、

故我之盛忿烈怒、震發如焚、傾洩於猶大諸邑、及耶路撒冷街衢、使之傾圮荒蕪、有如今日之景象、

緣此以色列全能之天主、萬有之主耶和華曰、噫、必罰我仇、以雪我忿、必報復我敵、

萬有之主以色列之天主如是云、我已降災於耶路撒冷、及猶大諸邑、今日俱荒蕪、無人居處、爾所目睹、

主曰、人既為肉體、我之神不恆居於其內、或作我之神不永與之爭姑容其一百二十年、或作以後其壽命至一百二十年

主素警戒我儕及治我之士師、士師或作長者必降大災於我儕、今主之言已應矣、耶路撒冷所遇之災、天下各處、未嘗遭遇、

抑爾藐視其鴻慈、寛容、恆忍、不知天主之仁愛、導爾悔改乎、乃爾以剛愎不悔之心、為己積怒、待天主震怒日、即其義鞫顯現之日、

彼世代四十年間、激我厭惡、我曰、彼乃心中偏邪之民、不明我道、我遂震怒而誓曰、必不容其人享我安息、

倘若天主、雖欲彰其怒、並示其能、仍恆忍寛容可怒當滅之器、

則我將於所賜之地、翦滅以色列人、必擯棄為我名所區別為聖之殿、使以色列人為萬民作歌譏刺、此殿今雖崇高、凡過之者、必驚訝歎息歎息或作作嗤笑之聲曰、主如是行於斯地與斯殿何故、

主曰、爾已棄我、背我而去、故我舉手擊爾、殲滅爾、難復矜恤、難復矜恤原文作我倦於矜恤

凡過路者、皆因爾鼓掌、向耶路撒冷邑邑原文作女嗤笑搖頭、曰、素為極美、天下所悅之邑、即此邑乎、爾之諸敵、向爾張口、嗤笑切齒、曰、我儕已吞噬之、我所望之日、今已至矣、我所目睹、

我必壓爾身、若車滿載以禾束者壓物然、若車滿載以禾束者壓物然或作若打糧之車壓禾場滿以禾束者

主見人在世、罪惡貫盈、心所圖維、恆為奸惡、於是、主悔造人於世、中心憂之、主曰、我所造之人、將滅於地、由人以及牲畜昆蟲飛鳥、因我造之悔矣、

蓋我儕將滅是處、因是處之人罪惡甚大、彰聞於主、故主遣我滅之、

今之天地、賴天主之命而存、迨審判惡人淪亡之日、則以火焚之、可愛者乎、爾不可不知、主觀一日如千年、千年如一日、主所許者尚未應驗、人以為主遲緩、實則主非遲緩、乃寛容我儕、欲人皆悔改、不欲有一人淪亡、
