We will certainly do everything we said we would: We will burn incense to the Queen of Heaven and will pour out drink offerings to her just as we and our ancestors, our kings and our officials did in the towns of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem. At that time we had plenty of food and were well off and suffered no harm.

We will certainly do everything we said we would. We’ll burn incense to the female god called the Queen of Heaven. We’ll pour out drink offerings to her. We’ll do just as we and our people of long ago have done. Our kings and our officials also did it. All of us did it in the towns of Judah and the streets of Jerusalem. At that time we had plenty of food. We were well off. We didn’t suffer any harm.

But we will do everything that we have vowed, make offerings to the queen of heaven and pour out drink offerings to her, as we did, both we and our fathers, our kings and our officials, in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem. For then we had plenty of food, and prospered, and saw no disaster.

We will do whatever we want. We will burn incense and pour out liquid offerings to the Queen of Heaven just as much as we like— just as we, and our ancestors, and our kings and officials have always done in the towns of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem. For in those days we had plenty to eat, and we were well off and had no troubles!

Instead, we will do everything we promised: we will burn incense to the queen of heaven and offer drink offerings to her just as we, our ancestors, our kings, and our officials did in Judah’s cities and in Jerusalem’s streets. Then we had enough food, we were well off, and we saw no disaster,

But we will certainly carry out every word that has proceeded from our mouths, by burning sacrifices to the queen of heaven and pouring out drink offerings to her, just as we ourselves, our forefathers, our kings, and our leaders did in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem; for then we had plenty of food and were well off and saw no misfortune.

But we will certainly do whatever has gone out of our own mouth, to burn incense to the queen of heaven and pour out drink offerings to her, as we have done, we and our fathers, our kings and our princes, in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem. 曰昔我在埃及有肉盈鼎、有餅果腹、盍乘此時、死於耶和華手、奚導我於野、使會眾饑而死乎、

萬有之主以色列族之上帝耶和華云、爾與婦女、欲行之事、已出於口、曰、我曾發願、焚香灌奠、奉事天后、必償我願、必行所欲、

如夫聞而廢之、則所許之願、自戒之言、不必行、夫既不允、耶和華將釋之。

棄其上帝耶和華之命、鑄二金犢、樹立木偶、崇拜天象、奉事巴力、

曰吾父與、爾在耶和華前、既許其願、則可踐爾所言、蓋亞捫族為爾敵、耶和華賜爾、雪其忿怒。

爾列祖王公、庶民、爰及爾躬、焚香於猶大諸邑、耶路撒冷逵衢、耶和華鑒察、憶念之、

猶大王宮殿、耶路撒冷廬舍、必視為污衊、無異陀法、蓋在樓巔、人焚香以奉天象、酒以灌奠、崇敬他上帝、○

彼養小體、如事上帝以辱為榮、惟是涉世、終必沉淪、

惟彼違逆、不從我命、不棄可惡之物、不毀埃及之偶像、故爾祖尚在埃及時、我已憤怒甚烈、欲降災其躬、

越在疇昔、事未至、我先言之、俾爾知悉、恐爾以為所鑄之偶像作此。

王甚憂、然既誓、又以同席者在、無可拒、

如人指耶和華而許願、或發誓以自戒、則言出惟行、信不可失。

彼乃曰、我將舌戰以勝之、口為我有、誰能主之、

列祖犯罪、我儕濟其惡、愆尤叢集、

因猶大族棄我、焚香奉事他上帝、以其所為干我震怒、故我憾此邑之民、靡有已時。

昔於猶大國、耶路撒冷逵衢爾列祖作惡、猶大王與后亦然、爾與爾妻、更無不然、爾豈忘之乎。

攻陷斯邑而燬之、昔斯邑之民、曾在樓巔焚香、以奉巴力、灌奠以事他上帝、干我震怒、故火焚其樓。耶和華又曰、以色列族及猶大家、肇造邦國以來、作惡不悛、造諸偶像、干予震怒、自建此城、以迄今日、斯民也干予震怒、我遐棄之。以色列族猶大家、爰及耶路撒冷居民、與厥王公、祭司先知、惟惡是作、攖予忿懥、

爾蹈祖愆得見贖者、知不以剝蝕之金銀、

我儕犯罪作惡、違爾律例、棄爾禮儀、爾臣僕諸先知、藉爾之名、告我王公祖父國民之語、我不聽從、主秉公義、惟我儕猶大人耶路撒冷居民、以色列族眾、無論遐邇、因犯罪愆、為爾驅逐、星散於四方、俱當含羞、今日之事為證。我與我王公列祖、獲罪乎主、必當抱愧蒙羞、
