我们口中说过的一切话，我们一定去作，我们要向天后烧香，浇奠祭，好像我们自己和我们的列祖，以及我们的君王和领袖，在犹大的各城和耶路撒冷的街上所行的一样。那时我们吃得饱，得享福乐，不见灾祸。

We will certainly do everything we said we would: We will burn incense to the Queen of Heaven and will pour out drink offerings to her just as we and our ancestors, our kings and our officials did in the towns of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem. At that time we had plenty of food and were well off and suffered no harm.

We will certainly do everything we said we would. We’ll burn incense to the female god called the Queen of Heaven. We’ll pour out drink offerings to her. We’ll do just as we and our people of long ago have done. Our kings and our officials also did it. All of us did it in the towns of Judah and the streets of Jerusalem. At that time we had plenty of food. We were well off. We didn’t suffer any harm.

But we will do everything that we have vowed, make offerings to the queen of heaven and pour out drink offerings to her, as we did, both we and our fathers, our kings and our officials, in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem. For then we had plenty of food, and prospered, and saw no disaster.

We will do whatever we want. We will burn incense and pour out liquid offerings to the Queen of Heaven just as much as we like— just as we, and our ancestors, and our kings and officials have always done in the towns of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem. For in those days we had plenty to eat, and we were well off and had no troubles!

Instead, we will do everything we promised: we will burn incense to the queen of heaven and offer drink offerings to her just as we, our ancestors, our kings, and our officials did in Judah’s cities and in Jerusalem’s streets. Then we had enough food, we were well off, and we saw no disaster,

But we will certainly carry out every word that has proceeded from our mouths, by burning sacrifices to the queen of heaven and pouring out drink offerings to her, just as we ourselves, our forefathers, our kings, and our leaders did in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem; for then we had plenty of food and were well off and saw no misfortune.

But we will certainly do whatever has gone out of our own mouth, to burn incense to the queen of heaven and pour out drink offerings to her, as we have done, we and our fathers, our kings and our princes, in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem. 儿子捡柴，父亲生火，妇女抟面，为天后做饼，又向别的神浇奠祭，惹我发怒。

我们的君王和领袖，我们的祭司和列祖，都没有遵行你的律法，也没有留心听从你的诫命和你向他们郑重的警告。

你嘴里说出来的，你要谨守；你亲口应许的甘心祭，就是你向耶和华你的神许的愿，你要实行。

因为他们的母亲卖了淫，怀他们的作了羞耻的事；因为她曾说：‘我要跟随我那些爱人。我的饼和水，羊毛和麻布，油和我所喝的，都是他们给的。’因此，我要用荆棘堵塞她的通道，我要筑墙围住她，使她找不着出路。她要追赶她那些爱人，却追不上；要寻找他们，却找不着。她就说：‘我要回去，回到前夫那里，因为从前比现在好得多了。’其实她不知道，是我把五谷、新酒、橄榄油赐给了她；甚至他们用来制造巴力的金银，也是我大量给她的；因此，到了收割的时候，到了出酒的季节，我必收回五谷和新酒；用来给她遮蔽裸体的羊毛和麻布，我也必夺回。

以色列人对他们说：“我们宁愿在埃及地坐在肉锅旁边，吃饭吃到饱的时候，死在耶和华的手里！你们倒把我们领出来，到这旷野，是要叫这全体会众饿死啊！”

万军之耶和华以色列的神这样说：‘你们和你们的妻子亲口说过：我们一定要实行我们的愿，向天后烧香，浇奠祭。你们果然亲手作了。现在你们只管持定你们所许的愿，只管实行你们的誓言吧！’

但是她丈夫听见的时候，如果把这两样都废了，妇人口中所说一切关于许愿的话和约束自己的话，都必无效；她丈夫已经把这两样都废了，耶和华也必赦免她。

他们丢弃耶和华他们神的一切吩咐，为自己做了两个牛犊的铸像，又做亚舍拉，并且敬拜天上的万象和服事巴力；

她对他说：“我的父亲啊，你既然向耶和华开过口许了愿，就照着你口里所说的向我行吧！因为耶和华已经在你的仇敌亚扪人身上，为你报了仇。”

“你们和你们的列祖，以及你们的君王、领袖，和全国的人民，在犹大的各城和耶路撒冷的街上烧的香，耶和华怎能忘记，他心里怎能不想起呢？

‘耶路撒冷的房屋和犹大列王的宫殿，都要像陀斐特一样成为不洁；人曾在这一切房屋宫殿的屋顶上，向天上的万象烧香，向别神浇奠祭。’”

他们的结局是灭亡，他们的神是自己的肚腹，他们以自己的羞辱为荣耀，所思想的都是地上的事。

但是他们背叛了我，不肯听从我；他们各人没有抛弃他们眼中那些可憎的像，没有离弃埃及的偶像。“‘那时我说，我要把我的烈怒倾倒在他们身上，在埃及地向他们完全发尽我的怒气。

所以我从古时就告诉了你；在事情还没有发生以前，我就说给你听了，免得你说：‘这些事是我的偶像所作的，是我的雕像和铸像所命定的。’

希律王非常忧愁，但是因为他的誓言和在座的宾客，就不愿拒绝她。

如果人向耶和华许愿，或是起誓要约束自己，就不可食言，总要照着自己口里所出的一切话行。

他们曾说：“我们必能以舌头取胜；我们的嘴唇是自己的，谁能作我们的主呢？”

我们和我们的列祖都犯了罪，我们作了孽，也行了恶。

因为他们背弃了我，向别的神焚香。他们所行的一切都使我发怒，因此我的怒火要在这地方燃点，不会熄灭。

你们列祖的恶行、犹大列王的恶行、他们妻子的恶行、你们自己的恶行和你们妻子的恶行，就是在犹大地和耶路撒冷街上所行的，你们忘记了吗？

攻打这城的迦勒底人必进来，放火烧城，城中的房屋都必烧光，因为这城的居民曾在那些房屋的屋顶上向巴力烧香，向别神浇奠祭，惹我发怒。事实上，以色列人和犹大人自幼以来，就专行我眼中看为恶的事；以色列人的手所作的，无不惹我发怒。’这是耶和华的宣告。‘因为这城自从建造的那天，直到今日，都不断惹起我的怒气和烈怒，以致我要把她从我面前除掉。这是因为以色列人和犹大人的一切恶行，就是他们和他们的君王、领袖、祭司、先知，以及犹大每一个人和耶路撒冷居民所行的，都惹我发怒。

因为知道你们得赎，脱去你们祖先传下的妄行，不是凭着能坏的金银等物，

我们犯了罪，行了不义，作了恶，背叛了你，偏离了你的诫命典章；没有听从你的仆人众先知，他们奉你的名向我们的君王、领袖、列祖和国中所有的人民说话。主啊！你是公义的；我们满面羞愧，正如今日的光景；我们犹大人、耶路撒冷的居民，和被你赶逐到远近各地的以色列众人，都因对你不忠而满面羞愧。耶和华啊！我们和我们的君王、领袖、列祖，都满面羞愧，因为我们得罪了你。
