我说：“哀哉！主耶和华啊，你真是大大地欺哄这百姓和耶路撒冷，说：‘你们必得平安。’其实刀剑害及性命了。”

我说：“哀哉！主耶和华啊，你真是大大欺哄这百姓和耶路撒冷，说：‘你们必得平安。’其实刀剑已经抵住喉咙了！”

我说：“哀哉！主耶和华啊，你真是大大欺哄这百姓和耶路撒冷，说：‘你们必得平安。’其实刀剑已经抵住喉咙了！”

我说：“唉！主耶和华啊，你完全欺骗了这群百姓和耶路撒冷人，因为你说，‘你们会安享太平。’其实剑锋已指着他们的咽喉了。”

于是我说：“噢！主耶和华啊！你真的欺骗了这人民，也欺骗了耶路撒冷，说：‘你们必平安无事’，其实刀剑已经架在颈项上了！”

我說：「哀哉！主耶和華啊，你真是大大地欺哄這百姓和耶路撒冷，說：『你們必得平安。』其實刀劍害及性命了。」

我說：「哀哉！主耶和華啊，你真是大大欺哄這百姓和耶路撒冷，說：『你們必得平安。』其實刀劍已經抵住喉嚨了！」

我說：「哀哉！主耶和華啊，你真是大大欺哄這百姓和耶路撒冷，說：『你們必得平安。』其實刀劍已經抵住喉嚨了！」

我說：「唉！主耶和華啊，你完全欺騙了這群百姓和耶路撒冷人，因為你說，『你們會安享太平。』其實劍鋒已指著他們的咽喉了。」

於是我說：“噢！主耶和華啊！你真的欺騙了這人民，也欺騙了耶路撒冷，說：‘你們必平安無事’，其實刀劍已經架在頸項上了！”

他們必說：「哀啊，主永恆主啊，你真是大大欺騙了這人民和耶路撒冷，說：「你們必得平安無事」；其實刀劍竟害及了他們的性命了。』

我曰、噫、主耶和華歟、爾欺斯民、及耶路撒冷甚矣、謂之曰、爾曹必獲安康、而刃乃害其命、

耶利米曰、主耶和華與、爾曾告耶路撒冷民曰、可得平康。今反飲刃、害及生命、言既不應、寧非欺予。

我耶利米曰、哀哉、主天主歟、主任人欺斯民及耶路撒冷人曰、爾曹必得平康、今反鋒刃害及生命矣、

Then I said,“ Alas, Sovereign Lord! How completely you have deceived this people and Jerusalem by saying,‘ You will have peace,’ when the sword is at our throats!”

Then I said,“ You are my Lord and King. You have completely tricked the people of Judah and Jerusalem! You have told them,‘ You will have peace and rest.’ But swords are pointed at our throats!”

Then I said,“ Ah, Lord God, surely you have utterly deceived this people and Jerusalem, saying,‘ It shall be well with you,’ whereas the sword has reached their very life.”

Then I said,“ O Sovereign Lord, the people have been deceived by what you said, for you promised peace for Jerusalem. But the sword is held at their throats!”

I said,“ Oh no, Lord GOD, you have certainly deceived this people and Jerusalem, by announcing,‘ You will have peace,’ while a sword is at our throats.”

Then I said,“ Oh, Lord God! Surely You have utterly deceived this people and Jerusalem, saying,‘ You will have peace’; yet a sword touches the throat.”

Then I said,“ Ah, Lord GOD! Surely You have greatly deceived this people and Jerusalem, Saying,‘ You shall have peace,’ Whereas the sword reaches to the heart.”

Then said I, Ah, Lord Jehovah! surely thou hast greatly deceived this people and Jerusalem, saying, Ye shall have peace; whereas the sword reacheth unto the life.

I said,“ Oh no, Lord God, You have certainly deceived this people and Jerusalem, by announcing,‘ You will have peace,’ while a sword is at our throats.”

Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! surely thou hast greatly deceived this people and Jerusalem, saying, Ye shall have peace; whereas the sword reacheth unto the soul.

In response to all this I said,“ Ah, Lord GOD, you have surely allowed the people of Judah and Jerusalem to be deceived by those who say,‘ You will be safe!’ But in fact a sword is already at our throats.”

Then I said,“ Ah, Lord Yahweh! Surely you have greatly deceived this people and Jerusalem, saying,‘ You will have peace;’ whereas the sword reaches to the heart.”

They have lied about the Lord; they said,“ He will do nothing! No harm will come to us; we will never see sword or famine. (niv)

Now as I was prophesying, Pelatiah son of Benaiah died. Then I fell facedown and cried out in a loud voice,“ Alas, Sovereign Lord! Will you completely destroy the remnant of Israel?” (niv)

Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. (niv)

“ I will defend this city and save it, for my sake and for the sake of David my servant!” (niv)

They dress the wound of my people as though it were not serious.“ Peace, peace,” they say, when there is no peace. (niv)

Why, Lord, do you make us wander from your ways and harden our hearts so we do not revere you? Return for the sake of your servants, the tribes that are your inheritance. (niv)

or this time I will send the full force of my plagues against you and against your officials and your people, so you may know that there is no one like me in all the earth. (niv)

And the Lord said,‘ Who will entice Ahab into attacking Ramoth Gilead and going to his death there?’“ One suggested this, and another that.Finally, a spirit came forward, stood before the Lord and said,‘ I will entice him.’“‘ By what means?’ the Lord asked.“‘ I will go out and be a deceiving spirit in the mouths of all his prophets,’ he said.“‘ You will succeed in enticing him,’ said the Lord.‘ Go and do it.’“ So now the Lord has put a deceiving spirit in the mouths of all these prophets of yours. The Lord has decreed disaster for you.” (niv)

“ Ah, Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you. (niv)

They say to the seers,“ See no more visions!” and to the prophets,“ Give us no more visions of what is right! Tell us pleasant things, prophesy illusions. (niv)

The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie,and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lieand so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness. (niv)

“‘ And if the prophet is enticed to utter a prophecy, I the Lord have enticed that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand against him and destroy him from among my people Israel.They will bear their guilt— the prophet will be as guilty as the one who consults him. (niv)

But I said,“ Alas, Sovereign Lord! The prophets keep telling them,‘ You will not see the sword or suffer famine. Indeed, I will give you lasting peace in this place.’”Then the Lord said to me,“ The prophets are prophesying lies in my name. I have not sent them or appointed them or spoken to them. They are prophesying to you false visions, divinations, idolatries and the delusions of their own minds. (niv)

“ Your own conduct and actions have brought this on you. This is your punishment. How bitter it is! How it pierces to the heart!” (niv)

“ Alas, Sovereign Lord,” I said,“ I do not know how to speak; I am too young.” (niv)

They dress the wound of my people as though it were not serious.‘ Peace, peace,’ they say, when there is no peace. (niv)

Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. (niv)

“ Young and old lie together in the dust of the streets; my young men and young women have fallen by the sword. You have slain them in the day of your anger; you have slaughtered them without pity. (niv)

They keep saying to those who despise me,‘ The Lord says: You will have peace.’ And to all who follow the stubbornness of their hearts they say,‘ No harm will come to you.’ (niv)

Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. (niv)
