Nebuzaradan was commander of the royal guard. Some people still remained in the city. But he took them away to Babylon as prisoners. He also took along those who had gone over to his side. And he took the rest of the people.

Then Nebuzaradan, the captain of the guard, carried into exile to Babylon the rest of the people who were left in the city, those who had deserted to him, and the people who remained.

所以，我的子民必因無知而被擄。他們的貴族無餅充饑，民眾無水解渴。

因為耶和華說，『我要使你和你的朋友都驚慌失措，讓你親眼看見你的朋友死在敵人刀下；我要把猶大人都交在巴比倫王手中，使他們或被殺或被擄到巴比倫；我要把這城裡所有的財富、出產、珍寶，甚至猶大列王的寶物都交給敵人，帶到巴比倫作戰利品。你巴施戶珥、你所有的家人以及聽你說假預言的朋友都要被擄到巴比倫，死在那裡，葬在那裡。』」

卻讓那些一貧如洗的窮人留在猶大，將葡萄園和田地分給他們。至於耶利米，巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒吩咐護衛長尼布撒拉旦：「你好好照顧耶利米，切不可傷害他。他有什麼要求，你都要滿足。」於是，護衛長尼布撒拉旦、尼布沙斯班、尼甲·沙利薛等巴比倫王的所有將領，便派人把耶利米從護衛兵的院子提出來，讓沙番的孫子、亞希甘的兒子基大利帶他回家。從此，耶利米就生活在百姓當中。

我要把你們驅散到各國，還要拔刀追殺你們。你們的土地將荒廢，城邑將淪為廢墟。

以下是尼布甲尼撒擄去的人數：他執政第七年擄去三千零二十三名猶大人；執政第十八年，從耶路撒冷擄去八百三十二人；執政第二十三年，他的護衛長尼布撒拉旦擄去七百四十五名猶大人。總共四千六百人。

你的子孫當中必有人被擄去，在巴比倫王的宮中做太監。』」

耶和華必把你們驅散到列邦，使你們在列邦中的人數所剩無幾。
