以实玛利将米斯巴剩下的人，就是众公主和仍住在米斯巴所有的百姓，原是护卫长尼布撒拉旦交给亚希甘的儿子基大利的，都掳去了。尼探雅的儿子以实玛利掳了他们，要往亚扪人那里去。

巴比伦王在利比拉、西底家眼前杀了他的众子，又杀了犹大的一切贵胄，

你若不出去归降巴比伦王的首领，这城必交在迦勒底人手中。他们必用火焚烧，你也不得脱离他们的手。”

在西底家眼前杀了他的众子，并且剜了西底家的眼睛，用铜链锁着他，带到巴比伦去。

凡脱离刀剑的，迦勒底王都掳到巴比伦去，作他和他子孙的仆婢，直到波斯国兴起来。这就应验耶和华藉耶利米口所说的话：地享受安息；因为地土荒凉便守安息，直满了七十年。

我就照这一切的话对犹大王西底家说：“要把你们的颈项放在巴比伦王的轭下，服侍他和他的百姓，便得存活。你和你的百姓为何要因刀剑、饥荒、瘟疫死亡，正如耶和华论到不服侍巴比伦王的那国说的话呢？

其状如从前他来灭城的时候我所见的异象，那异象如我在迦巴鲁河边所见的异象，我就俯伏在地。

先知若被迷惑说一句预言，是我耶和华任那先知受迷惑，我也必向他伸手，将他从我民以色列中除灭。

迦勒底的军队追赶西底家王，在耶利哥的平原追上他。他的全军都离开他四散了。迦勒底人就拿住王，带他到在哈马地利比拉的巴比伦王那里；巴比伦王便审判他。巴比伦王在西底家眼前杀了他的众子，又在利比拉杀了犹大的一切首领，并且剜了西底家的眼睛，用铜链锁着他，带到巴比伦去，将他囚在监里，直到他死的日子。巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒十九年五月初十日，在巴比伦王面前侍立的护卫长尼布撒拉旦进入耶路撒冷，用火焚烧耶和华的殿和王宫，又焚烧耶路撒冷的房屋，就是各大户家的房屋。
