“ All your wives and children will be brought out to the Babylonians. You yourself will not escape from their hands but will be captured by the king of Babylon; and this city will be burned down.”

以实玛利还掳去所有留在米斯巴的余民，包括王的众公主和所有留在米斯巴的人民；这些人都是护卫长尼布撒拉旦交给亚希甘的儿子基大利管理的。尼探雅的儿子以实玛利把他们掳走，往亚扪那里去。

巴比伦王在利比拉，当着西底家眼前杀了他的众子；巴比伦王也杀了犹大所有的显贵，

但你若不出去归降巴比伦王的将领，这城就必交在迦勒底人的手中；他们必放火烧毁这城，你自己也不能从他们的手里逃脱。’”

他们又在西底家眼前杀了他的众子，并且把西底家的眼睛弄瞎，然后用铜链锁住他，把他带到巴比伦去。

脱离刀剑的人，迦勒底王都把他们掳到巴比伦去，作他和他的子孙的奴仆，直到波斯国兴起的时候。这样，就应验了耶和华藉耶利米所说的话：直到这地享满了安息，因为这地在荒凉的日子，就享安息，直到满了七十年。

我照着这一切话对犹大王西底家说：“你们要把颈项放在巴比伦王的轭下，服事他和他的人民，就可以生存。你和你的人民为什么要因刀剑、饥荒和瘟疫而死，正如耶和华论到不肯服事巴比伦王的国家所说的一样呢？

我所见的异象，好像我在他来毁灭那城的时候所见的异象一样，又像我在迦巴鲁河边所见的异象一般，我就俯伏在地上。

如果有先知被欺骗说一句话，是我耶和华任那先知受欺骗的；我必伸手攻击他，把他从我子民以色列中除灭。

迦勒底人的军队追赶，在耶利哥的原野上把西底家追上了；他的全军都离开他四散了。他们把王擒住，把他解到哈马地的利比拉巴比伦王那里；他就宣判他的罪。巴比伦王在利比拉，当着西底家眼前杀了他的众子，也杀了犹大所有的领袖，并且把西底家的眼睛弄瞎，然后用铜链锁住他。巴比伦王把他带到巴比伦去，关在牢里，直到他去世的日子。五月十日，就是巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒第十九年，侍立在巴比伦王面前的护卫长尼布撒拉旦来到耶路撒冷。他放火焚烧耶和华的殿和王宫，以及耶路撒冷一切房屋，一切高大的房屋，他都放火烧了。
