西底家王對耶利米說：“我害怕那些已向迦勒底人投降的猶大人，恐怕迦勒底人把我交在他們手中，他們就會凌辱我。”

西底家王对耶利米说：“我怕那些投降迦勒底人的犹大人，恐怕迦勒底人将我交在他们手中，他们戏弄我。”

西底家王对耶利米说：“我怕那些投降迦勒底人的犹大人，恐怕迦勒底人把我交在他们手中，他们就戏弄我。”

西底家王对耶利米说：“我怕那些投降迦勒底人的犹大人，恐怕迦勒底人把我交在他们手中，他们就戏弄我。”

西底迦王说：“我害怕那些已经向迦勒底人投降的犹大人，恐怕迦勒底人会把我交给他们，任由他们羞辱。”

西底家王对耶利米说：“我害怕那些已向迦勒底人投降的犹大人，恐怕迦勒底人把我交在他们手中，他们就会凌辱我。”

西底家王對耶利米說：「我怕那些投降迦勒底人的猶大人，恐怕迦勒底人將我交在他們手中，他們戲弄我。」

西底家王對耶利米說：「我怕那些投降迦勒底人的猶大人，恐怕迦勒底人把我交在他們手中，他們就戲弄我。」

西底家王對耶利米說：「我怕那些投降迦勒底人的猶大人，恐怕迦勒底人把我交在他們手中，他們就戲弄我。」

西底迦王說：「我害怕那些已經向迦勒底人投降的猶大人，恐怕迦勒底人會把我交給他們，任由他們羞辱。」

西底家王對耶利米說：『我，我怕那些投降迦勒底人的猶大人，恐怕迦勒底人會將我交在他們手中，他們會作弄我。』

西底家王謂耶利米曰、我恐迦勒底人、付我於投降之猶大人手、彼則侮我、

西底家王告耶利米曰、猶大人已先歸誠於迦勒底人、我甚恐、若彼委我於猶大人、使凌辱予、則奈何。

西底家王謂耶利米曰、有猶大人已降迦勒底人、我恐迦勒底人付我於彼之手、使彼凌辱我、

King Zedekiah said to Jeremiah,“ I am afraid of the Jews who have gone over to the Babylonians, for the Babylonians may hand me over to them and they will mistreat me.”

King Zedekiah said to Jeremiah,“ I’m afraid of some of the Jews. They are the ones who have gone over to the side of the Babylonians. The Babylonians might hand me over to them. And those Jews will treat me badly.”

King Zedekiah said to Jeremiah,“ I am afraid of the Judeans who have deserted to the Chaldeans, lest I be handed over to them and they deal cruelly with me.”

“ But I am afraid to surrender,” the king said,“ for the Babylonians may hand me over to the Judeans who have defected to them. And who knows what they will do to me!”

But King Zedekiah said to Jeremiah,“ I am worried about the Judeans who have defected to the Chaldeans. They may hand me over to the Judeans to abuse me.”

Then King Zedekiah said to Jeremiah,“ I am in fear of the Jews who have deserted to the Chaldeans, for they may hand me over to them, and they will abuse me.”

And Zedekiah the king said to Jeremiah,“ I am afraid of the Jews who have defected to the Chaldeans, lest they deliver me into their hand, and they abuse me.”

And Zedekiah the king said unto Jeremiah, I am afraid of the Jews that are fallen away to the Chaldeans, lest they deliver me into their hand, and they mock me.

But King Zedekiah said to Jeremiah,“ I am worried about the Judeans who have deserted to the Chaldeans. They may hand me over to the Judeans to abuse me.”

And Zedekiah the king said unto Jeremiah, I am afraid of the Jews that are fallen to the Chaldeans, lest they deliver me into their hand, and they mock me.

Then King Zedekiah said to Jeremiah,“ I am afraid of the Judeans who have deserted to the Babylonians. The Babylonians might hand me over to them and they will torture me.”

Zedekiah the king said to Jeremiah,“ I am afraid of the Jews who have defected to the Chaldeans, lest they deliver me into their hand, and they mock me.”

雖然這樣，官長當中也有許多人信了耶穌。但是因為法利賽人的緣故，他們不敢公開承認，免得被趕出會堂；

從那時起，彼拉多想釋放耶穌；可是猶太人卻喊叫說：“如果你釋放這個人，就不是凱撒的忠臣了。凡是自命為王的，就是與凱撒為敵。”彼拉多聽了這些話，就把耶穌帶到外面，到了一個名叫“鋪石地”（希伯來話叫加巴大）的地方，就在那裡開庭審問。

看哪！猶大王宮裡所有剩下的婦女，都必被帶出來，去到巴比倫王的將領那裡。那些婦女必對你說：‘你的盟友煽惑了你，左右了你；現在你的腳陷在泥沼中，他們就都離棄你。’

“我，我耶和華是安慰你們的；你是誰，竟怕那會死的人，怕那被造如草的世人呢？你忘記了造你的耶和華，就是那展開諸天，奠定大地的根基的；又因那欺壓者準備行毀滅的時候所發的烈怒，你就終日不住懼怕呢？其實那欺壓者的烈怒在哪裡呢？

你怕誰？你因誰而懼怕，以致你對我說謊呢？你不記念我，也不把我放在心上，是不是因為我長久緘默，你就不懼怕我呢？

懼怕人的，必陷入網羅；倚靠耶和華的，必得安全。

那與他的創造主爭論的，有禍了！他不過是地上瓦片中的一片瓦片，泥土能對陶匠說：‘你在作甚麼？’或你所作成的說：‘他沒有手’嗎？那對父親說：‘你生的是甚麼’，或對母親說：‘你產的是甚麼’的，有禍了！”

掃羅就對替他拿兵器的人說：“拔出你的刀來，把我刺透，免得這些未受割禮的人來把我刺透，戲弄我。”但替他拿兵器的人不肯這樣作，因為他非常害怕。於是掃羅拿過刀來，自己伏在刀上死了。

他急忙呼喊替他拿兵器的少年人，對他說：“拔出你的刀來，把我殺死吧。免得人講論我說：‘他被一個婦人所殺。’”於是那少年人把他刺透，他就死了。

因為我懼怕群眾，宗族的藐視又使我驚恐，以致我靜默不言，足不出門。

於是掃羅對撒母耳說：“我犯了罪了，我違背了耶和華的命令和你的話，因為我害怕眾人，聽從了他們的話。

城裡剩下的人民，和那些已經向巴比倫王投降的人，以及其餘的人民，都被護衛長尼布撒拉旦擄到巴比倫去。

他們心裡正在高興的時候，就說：“叫參孫來，給我們耍耍把戲。”於是有人把參孫從監牢裡叫出來；參孫就在他們面前耍把戲，他們又把他放在兩根柱子中間。

西底家王說：“看哪！他在你們手中；王不能作甚麼反對你們。”
