於是西底家王私下向耶利米起誓，說：“我指著那創造我們生命的永活的耶和華起誓：我決不殺死你，也不把你交在這些尋索你性命的人的手裡。”

西底家王就私下向耶利米说：“我指着那造我们生命之永生的耶和华起誓：我必不杀你，也不将你交在寻索你命的人手中。”

西底家王就私下对耶利米说：“我指着那造我们生命之永生的耶和华起誓：我必不把你处死，也不将你交在寻索你命的人手中。”

西底家王就私下对耶利米说：“我指着那造我们生命之永生的耶和华起誓：我必不把你处死，也不将你交在寻索你命的人手中。”

于是，他私下向耶利米发誓说：“我凭那赐给我们生命的永活的耶和华起誓，我决不杀你，也不把你交在想杀你的人手中。”

于是西底家王私下向耶利米起誓，说：“我指着那创造我们生命的永活的耶和华起誓：我决不杀死你，也不把你交在这些寻索你性命的人的手里。”

西底家王就私下向耶利米說：「我指着那造我們生命之永生的耶和華起誓：我必不殺你，也不將你交在尋索你命的人手中。」

西底家王就私下對耶利米說：「我指着那造我們生命之永生的耶和華起誓：我必不把你處死，也不將你交在尋索你命的人手中。」

於是，他私下向耶利米發誓說：「我憑那賜給我們生命的永活的耶和華起誓，我決不殺你，也不把你交在想殺你的人手中。」

西底家就私下向耶利米起誓說：『那造我們性命的永恆主是活的：我指着他來起誓；我一定不殺死你，也不將你交在這些尋索你性命的人手中。』

But King Zedekiah swore this oath secretly to Jeremiah:“ As surely as the Lord lives, who has given us breath, I will neither kill you nor hand you over to those who want to kill you.”

But King Zedekiah promised Jeremiah secretly,“ I won’t kill you. And I won’t hand you over to those who want to kill you. That’s just as sure as the Lord is alive. He’s the one who has given us breath.”

Then King Zedekiah swore secretly to Jeremiah,“ As the Lord lives, who made our souls, I will not put you to death or deliver you into the hand of these men who seek your life.”

So King Zedekiah secretly promised him,“ As surely as the Lord our Creator lives, I will not kill you or hand you over to the men who want you dead.”

King Zedekiah swore to Jeremiah in private,“ As the LORD lives, who has given us this life, I will not kill you or hand you over to these men who intend to take your life.”

But King Zedekiah swore to Jeremiah in secret, saying,“ As the Lord lives, who made this life for us, I certainly will not put you to death, nor will I hand you over to these men who are seeking your life.”

So Zedekiah the king swore secretly to Jeremiah, saying,“ As the Lord lives, who made our very souls, I will not put you to death, nor will I give you into the hand of these men who seek your life.”

So Zedekiah the king sware secretly unto Jeremiah, saying, As Jehovah liveth, that made us this soul, I will not put thee to death, neither will I give thee into the hand of these men that seek thy life.

King Zedekiah swore to Jeremiah in private,“ As the Lord lives, who has given us this life, I will not kill you or hand you over to these men who want to take your life.”

So Zedekiah the king sware secretly unto Jeremiah, saying,[ As] the LORD liveth, that made us this soul, I will not put thee to death, neither will I give thee into the hand of these men that seek thy life.

So King Zedekiah made a secret promise to Jeremiah and sealed it with an oath. He promised,“ As surely as the LORD lives who has given us life and breath, I promise you this: I will not kill you or hand you over to those men who want to kill you.”

So Zedekiah the king swore secretly to Jeremiah, saying,“ As Yahweh lives, who made us this soul, I will not put you to death, neither will I give you into the hand of these men who seek your life.”

我必不永遠爭辯，也不長久發怒，因為這樣，人的靈，就是我所造的人，在我面前就要發昏。

後來，西底家王派人去把他帶出來；王在自己的宮中私下問他，說：“從耶和華那裡有話來嗎？”耶利米回答：“有！”又說：“你必交在巴比倫王的手中。”

摩西和亞倫就俯伏在地，說：“神啊，萬人之靈的神啊，一人犯罪，你就要向全體會眾發怒嗎？”

他夜間來到耶穌那裡，對他說：“拉比，我們知道你是從神那裡來的教師，因為如果沒有神同在，你所行的這些神蹟，就沒有人能行。”

“願耶和華萬人之靈的神，立一個人治理會眾，

瑪坦的兒子示法提雅、巴施戶珥的兒子基大利、示利米雅的兒子猶甲、瑪基雅的兒子示巴戶珥，聽見耶利米對眾民宣講以下的話：“耶和華這樣說：‘凡留在這城裡的，必因刀劍、饑荒、瘟疫而死；但出去向迦勒底人投降的，必可以活著；他們必撿回自己的性命，得以生存。’耶和華這樣說：‘這城必交在巴比倫王軍隊的手中，巴比倫王必攻取這城。’”於是眾領袖對王說：“這人應該處死，因為他向這城裡剩下的軍兵和眾民說了這樣的話，使他們的手都軟弱無力。這人不是為這人民求平安，卻是惹來災禍的。”西底家王說：“看哪！他在你們手中；王不能作甚麼反對你們。”他們就拿住耶利米，把他丟在王子瑪基雅的井裡，那井是在衛兵的院子裡的；他們用繩子把耶利米縋下去。井裡沒有水，只有淤泥；耶利米就陷在淤泥中。

以下是耶和華的默示，這是耶和華論到以色列的話（是耶和華的宣告，他鋪張諸天，奠定大地的根基，造成人裡面的靈）：

我必把他們交在他們仇敵的手中，和那些尋索他們性命的人的手中；他們的屍體必給空中的飛鳥和地上的走獸作食物。

塵土要歸回原來之地，靈要歸回賜靈的神。

那創造諸天，展開穹蒼，鋪張大地和大地所出的一切，賜氣息給地上的眾人，又賜靈性給在地上行的人的耶和華神這樣說：

還有，肉身的父親管教我們，我們尚且敬重他們；何況那萬靈的父，我們不是更要順服他而得生嗎？
