Shephatiah son of Mattan, Gedaliah son of Pashhur, Jehukal son of Shelemiah, and Pashhur son of Malkijah heard what Jeremiah was telling all the people when he said,

Shephatiah, Gedaliah, Jehukal and Pashhur heard what Jeremiah was telling all the people. Shephatiah was the son of Mattan. Gedaliah was the son of Pashhur. Jehukal was the son of Shelemiah. And Pashhur was the son of Malkijah. These four men heard Jeremiah say,

Now Shephatiah the son of Mattan, Gedaliah the son of Pashhur, Jucal the son of Shelemiah, and Pashhur the son of Malchiah heard the words that Jeremiah was saying to all the people:

Now Shephatiah son of Mattan, Gedaliah son of Pashhur, Jehucal son of Shelemiah, and Pashhur son of Malkijah heard what Jeremiah had been telling the people. He had been saying,

Then Shephatiah the son of Mattan, and Gedaliah the son of Pashur, and Jucal the son of Shelemiah, and Pashur the son of Malchiah, heard the words that Jeremiah had spoken unto all the people, saying,

Now Shephatiah son of Mattan, Gedaliah son of Pashhur, Jehucal son of Shelemiah, and Pashhur son of Malkijah had heard the things that Jeremiah had been telling the people. They had heard him say,

Shephatiah the son of Mattan, and Gedaliah the son of Pashhur, and Jucal the son of Shelemiah, and Pashhur the son of Malchijah, heard the words that Jeremiah spoke to all the people, saying,

示法提雅的子孙三百七十二人。

又有玛基雅的曾孙、巴施户珥的孙子、耶罗罕的儿子亚大雅，以及亚第业的儿子玛赛；亚第业是雅希细拉的儿子，雅希细拉是米书兰的儿子，米书兰是米实利密的儿子，米实利密是音麦的儿子；

“我们严厉地吩咐过你们，不准再奉这名教导。看，你们却把你们的道理传遍了耶路撒冷，想要把流这人的血的责任推到我们身上。”

耶和华有话临到耶利米。那时，西底家王差遣玛基雅的儿子巴施户珥，和玛西雅的儿子西番雅祭司去见耶利米，说：“请你替我们求问耶和华，因为巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒来攻击我们；也许耶和华会为我们行奇事，使尼布甲尼撒离开我们回去。”耶利米就对他们说：“你们要对西底家这样说：‘耶和华以色列的神这样说：看哪！我必使你们手中的武器，就是你们用来与城外围困你们的巴比伦王和迦勒底人作战的武器，转回堆积在这城的中心。我必在怒气、烈怒和忿怒中，用伸出来的手和强有力的膀臂，亲自攻击你们。我要击打住在这城的人和牲畜，他们都要因极大的瘟疫而死。然后，我必把犹大王西底家和他的臣民，就是在这城里经过瘟疫、刀剑之灾和饥荒而幸存的人，都交在巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒和他们的仇敌，以及寻索他们性命的人的手中。尼布甲尼撒要用刀剑击杀他们，绝不顾惜，不留情，不怜悯。’”这是耶和华的宣告。耶和华又吩咐耶利米：“你要对这人民说：‘耶和华这样说：看哪！我把生命的路和死亡的路摆在你们面前。凡留在这城里的，必因刀剑、饥荒、瘟疫而死；但出去向围困你们的迦勒底人投降的，必可以活着，捡回自己的性命。因为我已经决意向这城降祸不降福；这城必交在巴比伦王的手中，他必放火把城烧毁。’”这是耶和华的宣告。

巴录的子孙二千一百七十二人；

还有大祭司亚那和该亚法、约翰、亚历山大，以及大祭司的家人，所有的人都在那里。他们叫使徒都站在当中，查问说：“你们凭什么能力，奉谁的名作这事？”当时彼得被圣灵充满，对他们说：“民众的领袖和长老啊！我们今天受审，如果是为了在那残疾人身上所行的善事，就是这个人怎么会好的，那么，你们各位和以色列全民都应当知道，站在你们面前这人好了，是因拿撒勒人耶稣基督的名。这位耶稣基督，你们把他钉死在十字架上，神却使他从死人中复活。

西底家王差派示利米雅的儿子犹甲和玛西雅祭司的儿子西番雅，去见耶利米先知，说：“请你为我们向耶和华我们的神祷告。”那时，耶利米还可以在民众中间自由行动，因为他们还没有把他关进监狱里。

使徒们正对群众讲话的时候，祭司、圣殿的守卫长，和撒都该人来到他们那里。因为使徒教训群众，并且传扬耶稣从死人中复活，他们就非常恼怒，

还有他们的亲族，在殿里工作事奉的，共八百二十二人；又有耶罗罕的儿子亚大雅；耶罗罕是毗拉利的儿子，毗拉利是暗洗的儿子，暗洗是撒迦利亚的儿子，撒迦利亚是巴施户珥的儿子，巴施户珥是玛基雅的儿子；
