Yet they did not obey or incline their ear, but walked by their own advice and in the stubbornness of their evil hearts, and they went backward and not forward.Since the day that your fathers came out of the land of Egypt until this day, I have sent you all My servants the prophets, sending them daily, again and again.Yet they did not listen to Me or incline their ear, but stiffened their neck; they did more evil than their fathers.

Why was there no one when I came? When I called, why was there no one to answer? Is My hand so short that it cannot redeem? Or do I have no power to rescue? Behold, I dry up the sea with My rebuke, I turn rivers into a wilderness; Their fish stink for lack of water, And die of thirst.

“ From the thirteenth year of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah, even to this day, these twenty three years the word of the Lord has come to me, and I have spoken to you again and again, but you have not listened.And the Lord has sent to you all His servants the prophets again and again, but you have not listened nor inclined your ear to hear,

For I solemnly warned your fathers on the day I brought them up from the land of Egypt, even to this day, warning them persistently, saying,“ Listen to My voice.”

Yet the Lord, the God of their fathers, sent word to them again and again by His messengers, because He had compassion on His people and on His dwelling place;but they continually mocked the messengers of God, despised His words, and scoffed at His prophets, until the wrath of the Lord rose against His people, until there was no remedy.

“ But they became rebellious and revolted against You, And threw Your Law behind their backs And killed Your prophets who had admonished them In order to bring them back to You, And they committed great blasphemies.

because they have not listened to My words,’ declares the Lord,‘ which I sent to them again and again by My servants the prophets; but you did not listen,’ declares the Lord.

However, You remained patient with them for many years, And admonished them by Your Spirit through Your prophets, Yet they would not listen. Therefore You handed them over to the peoples of the lands.

They have turned their back to Me and not their face; though I taught them, teaching again and again, they would not listen to accept discipline.
