The Babylonians who are attacking this city will come in and set it on fire; they will burn it down, along with the houses where the people aroused my anger by burning incense on the roofs to Baal and by pouring out drink offerings to other gods.

The armies of Babylon are now attacking this city. They will come in and set it on fire. They will burn it down. They will burn down the houses where the people made me very angry. They burned incense on their roofs to the god named Baal. And they poured out drink offerings to other gods.

The Chaldeans who are fighting against this city shall come and set this city on fire and burn it, with the houses on whose roofs offerings have been made to Baal and drink offerings have been poured out to other gods, to provoke me to anger.

The Babylonians outside the walls will come in and set fire to the city. They will burn down all these houses where the people provoked my anger by burning incense to Baal on the rooftops and by pouring out liquid offerings to other gods.

The Chaldeans who are fighting against this city will come and set this city on fire. They will burn it, including the houses where incense has been burned to Baal on their rooftops and where drink offerings have been poured out to other gods to anger me.

因為我已經決意向這城降禍不降福；這城必交在巴比倫王的手中，他必放火把城燒毀。’”這是耶和華的宣告。

‘耶路撒冷的房屋和猶大列王的宮殿，都要像陀斐特一樣成為不潔；人曾在這一切房屋宮殿的屋頂上，向天上的萬象燒香，向別神澆奠祭。’”

他放火焚燒耶和華的殿和王宮，以及耶路撒冷一切房屋，一切高大的房屋，他都放火燒了。

迦勒底人燒了神的殿，拆毀了耶路撒冷的城牆，用火燒了城裡所有的宮殿，又毀壞了城裡一切珍貴的器皿。

我們口中說過的一切話，我們一定去作，我們要向天后燒香，澆奠祭，好像我們自己和我們的列祖，以及我們的君王和領袖，在猶大的各城和耶路撒冷的街上所行的一樣。那時我們吃得飽，得享福樂，不見災禍。但是，自從我們停止向天后燒香和澆奠祭以後，我們就樣樣都缺乏，又因刀劍和饑荒滅亡。”那些婦女又說：“我們不錯是向天后燒香和澆奠祭，難道我們的丈夫不知道我們照著天后的形象製餅供奉她，向她澆奠祭嗎？”

萬軍之耶和華以色列的神這樣說：‘你們和你們的妻子親口說過：我們一定要實行我們的願，向天后燒香，澆奠祭。你們果然親手作了。現在你們只管持定你們所許的願，只管實行你們的誓言吧！’

兒子撿柴，父親生火，婦女摶麵，為天后做餅，又向別的神澆奠祭，惹我發怒。

迦勒底人放火焚燒王宮和民房，又拆毀了耶路撒冷的城牆。

“耶和華以色列的神這樣說：你們要對差派你們來求問我的猶大王這樣說：‘看哪！那出來幫助你們的法老的軍隊，必回到他們的埃及本地去。迦勒底人必回來，攻擊這城，佔領這城，放火燒毀這城。’耶和華這樣說：你們不要自己欺騙自己，說：‘迦勒底人必定離開我們！’因為他們必不離開。即使你們擊敗了那攻打你們的迦勒底全軍，他們中間只剩下一些受重傷的人，他們也必各從自己的帳棚裡起來，放火燒毀這城。’”

王就發怒，派兵消滅那些兇手，焚毀他們的城。

耶和華大發震怒，傾倒他的烈怒；他在錫安放火，吞滅了錫安的根基。

他放火焚燒耶和華的殿和王宮，以及耶路撒冷一切房屋；一切高大的房屋，他都放火燒了。

你的聖城變了曠野，錫安成了曠野，耶路撒冷成了荒場。我們那聖潔和榮美的殿，就是我們的列祖讚美你的所在，被火燒了。我們所喜愛的一切，都成了廢墟。

“‘無論哪一國、哪一邦，不服事巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒，不把頸項放在巴比倫王的軛下，我必用刀劍、饑荒和瘟疫去懲罰那國，直到我藉著巴比倫王的手把他們完全消滅。’這是耶和華的宣告。‘至於你們，不可聽從你們的先知，也不可聽從占卜的、解夢的、算命的和行邪術的；他們告訴你們說：你們必不會服事巴比倫王。因為他們向你們說虛假的預言，使你們遠離你們的土地；我要趕逐你們，你們必要滅亡。

但如果你們不聽從我，不守安息日為聖日，仍在安息日挑擔子，進入耶路撒冷的城門；這樣，我就必在耶路撒冷的各城門點起火來，燒毀耶路撒冷的堡壘，沒有人能夠撲滅。”
