and I gave this deed to Baruch son of Neriah, the son of Mahseiah, in the presence of my cousin Hanamel and of the witnesses who had signed the deed and of all the Jews sitting in the courtyard of the guard.

I gave Baruch the copies of the deed. My cousin Hanamel saw me do this. The witnesses who had signed the deed were there too. So were all the Jews who were sitting in the courtyard of the guard. Baruch was the son of Neriah. Neriah was the son of Mahseiah.

And I gave the deed of purchase to Baruch the son of Neriah son of Mahseiah, in the presence of Hanamel my cousin, in the presence of the witnesses who signed the deed of purchase, and in the presence of all the Judeans who were sitting in the court of the guard.

and I handed them to Baruch son of Neriah and grandson of Mahseiah. I did all this in the presence of my cousin Hanamel, the witnesses who had signed the deed, and all the men of Judah who were there in the courtyard of the guardhouse.

and gave the purchase agreement to Baruch son of Neriah, son of Mahseiah. I did this in the sight of my cousin Hanamel, the witnesses who had signed the purchase agreement, and all the Judeans sitting in the guard’s courtyard.

and I gave the deed of purchase to Baruch the son of Neriah, the son of Mahseiah, in the sight of Hanamel my uncle’s son and in the sight of the witnesses who signed the deed of purchase, in the sight of all the Jews who were sitting in the courtyard of the guard.

and I gave the purchase deed to Baruch the son of Neriah, son of Mahseiah, in the presence of Hanamel my uncle’s son, and in the presence of the witnesses who signed the purchase deed, before all the Jews who sat in the court of the prison.

and I delivered the deed of the purchase unto Baruch the son of Neriah, the son of Mahseiah, in the presence of Hanamel mine uncle’s son, and in the presence of the witnesses that subscribed the deed of the purchase, before all the Jews that sat in the court of the guard.

and gave the purchase agreement to Baruch son of Neriah, son of Mahseiah. I did this in the sight of my cousin Hanamel, the witnesses who were signing the purchase agreement, and all the Judeans sitting in the guard’s courtyard.

And I gave the evidence of the purchase unto Baruch the son of Neriah, the son of Maaseiah, in the sight of Hanameel mine uncle’s[ son], and in the presence of the witnesses that subscribed the book of the purchase, before all the Jews that sat in the court of the prison.

I took both copies of the deed of purchase and gave them to Baruch son of Neriah, the son of Mahseiah. I gave them to him in the presence of my cousin Hanamel, the witnesses who had signed the deed of purchase, and all the Judeans who were housed in the courtyard of the guardhouse.

and I delivered the deed of the purchase to Baruch the son of Neriah, the son of Mahseiah, in the presence of Hanamel my uncle’s son, and in the presence of the witnesses who signed the deed of the purchase, before all the Jews who sat in the court of the guard.

「我將買契交給尼利亞的兒子巴錄以後，就向耶和華禱告說：

猶大王西底家在位第四年，瑪西雅的孫子，尼利亞的兒子西萊雅與王同去巴比倫，西萊雅是王宮的大臣，耶利米先知有話吩咐他。

耶利米召了尼利亞的兒子巴錄來；巴錄就從耶利米口中，把耶和華對耶利米所說的一切話寫在書卷上。耶利米吩咐巴錄說：「我被禁止，不能進耶和華的殿。

王吩咐王的兒子耶拉篾、亞斯列的兒子西萊雅和亞伯疊的兒子示利米雅，去捉拿巴錄文士和耶利米先知；耶和華卻將他們隱藏起來。

他們聽見這一切話就害怕，面面相覷，對巴錄說：「我們必須將這一切話稟告王。」他們問巴錄說：「請你告訴我們，你怎樣從他口中寫下這一切話呢？」巴錄回答說：「他向我口述這一切話，我就用筆墨把它寫在書卷上。」眾官長對巴錄說：「你和耶利米要去躲起來，不可叫人知道你們躲在哪裏。」

於是，耶利米又取一書卷交給尼利亞的兒子巴錄文士，他就從耶利米的口中寫了猶大王約雅敬在火中所燒書卷上的一切話，另外又添了許多相仿的話。

這是尼利亞的兒子巴錄挑唆你害我們，要把我們交在迦勒底人手中，使我們被殺或被擄到巴比倫去。」加利亞的兒子約哈難和所有的軍官、百姓，都不肯聽從耶和華的話留在猶大地。加利亞的兒子約哈難和所有的軍官卻將倖存的猶大人，就是從被趕到的各國回來，在猶大地寄居的男人、婦女、孩童和眾公主，並尼布撒拉旦護衛長留在沙番的孫子，亞希甘的兒子基大利那裏的眾人，與耶利米先知，以及尼利亞的兒子巴錄，

約西亞的兒子猶大王約雅敬第四年，尼利亞的兒子巴錄把耶利米先知口中所說的話寫在書上；耶利米對巴錄說：「巴錄啊，耶和華－以色列的神說：你曾說：『哀哉！耶和華使我愁上加愁，我因呻吟而困乏，不得安歇。』你要這樣告訴他，耶和華如此說：看哪，我所建立的，我必拆毀；我所栽植的，我必拔出；在全地我都如此行。你為自己圖謀大事嗎？不要圖謀！看哪，我必使災禍臨到凡有血肉之軀的。但你無論往哪裏去，我要保全你的性命。這是耶和華說的。」

我們留心做好事，不但在主面前，就是在人面前也是這樣。
