Rule among your enemies.Your people offer themselves willingly in the day of your power, in holy array. Out of the womb of the morning, you have the dew of your youth.Yahweh has sworn, and will not change his mind:“ You are a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek.”

( for they indeed have been made priests without an oath), but he with an oath by him that says of him,“ The Lord swore and will not change his mind,‘ You are a priest forever, according to the order of Melchizedek.’”By so much, Jesus has become the collateral of a better covenant.Many, indeed, have been made priests, because they are hindered from continuing by death.But he, because he lives forever, has his priesthood unchangeable.Therefore he is also able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, seeing that he lives forever to make intercession for them.For such a high priest was fitting for us: holy, guiltless, undefiled, separated from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

For a child is born to us. A son is given to us; and the government will be on his shoulders. His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.Of the increase of his government and of peace there shall be no end, on David’s throne, and on his kingdom, to establish it, and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from that time on, even forever. The zeal of Yahweh of Armies will perform this.

For David didn’t ascend into the heavens, but he says himself,‘ The Lord said to my Lord,“ Sit by my right handuntil I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.”’“ Let all the house of Israel therefore know certainly that God has made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you crucified.”

He will build a house for my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.

“ Tell the daughter of Zion, behold, your King comes to you, humble, and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.”The disciples went, and did just as Jesus commanded them,and brought the donkey and the colt, and laid their clothes on them; and he sat on them.A very great multitude spread their clothes on the road. Others cut branches from the trees, and spread them on the road.The multitudes who went in front of him, and those who followed, kept shouting,“ Hosanna to the son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!”When he had come into Jerusalem, all the city was stirred up, saying,“ Who is this?”The multitudes said,“ This is the prophet, Jesus, from Nazareth of Galilee.”

“ Behold, he will come up like a lion from the pride of the Jordan against the strong habitation: for I will suddenly make them run away from it; and whoever is chosen, I will appoint him over it. For who is like me? Who will appoint me a time? Who is the shepherd who will stand before me?”

Having then a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let’s hold tightly to our confession.For we don’t have a high priest who can’t be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, but one who has been in all points tempted like we are, yet without sin.Let’s therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace for help in time of need.

but they will serve Yahweh their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up to them.

and speak to him, saying,‘ Yahweh of Armies says,“ Behold, the man whose name is the Branch: and he shall grow up out of his place; and he shall build Yahweh’s temple;even he shall build Yahweh’s temple; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule on his throne; and he shall be a priest on his throne; and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.

“ Where is he who is born King of the Jews? For we saw his star in the east, and have come to worship him.”

The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, until he comes to whom it belongs. To him will the obedience of the peoples be.

Didn’t the Christ have to suffer these things and to enter into his glory?”

“ Behold, the days come,” says Yahweh,“ that I will raise to David a righteous Branch, and he will reign as king and deal wisely, and will execute justice and righteousness in the land.In his days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell safely. This is his name by which he will be called: Yahweh our righteousness.

Who is this who comes from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? Who is this who is glorious in his clothing, marching in the greatness of his strength?“ It is I who speak in righteousness, mighty to save.”

Abraham answered,“ See now, I have taken it on myself to speak to the Lord, although I am dust and ashes.

For this reason he is the mediator of a new covenant, since a death has occurred for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first covenant, that those who have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.For where a last will and testament is, there must of necessity be the death of him who made it.For a will is in force where there has been death, for it is never in force while he who made it lives.Therefore even the first covenant has not been dedicated without blood.For when every commandment had been spoken by Moses to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of the calves and the goats, with water and scarlet wool and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people,saying,“ This is the blood of the covenant which God has commanded you.”Moreover he sprinkled the tabernacle and all the vessels of the ministry in the same way with the blood.According to the law, nearly everything is cleansed with blood, and apart from shedding of blood there is no remission.It was necessary therefore that the copies of the things in the heavens should be cleansed with these, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.For Christ hasn’t entered into holy places made with hands, which are representations of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us;

I will also make his offspring endure forever, and his throne as the days of heaven.

You asked,‘ Who is this who hides counsel without knowledge?’ therefore I have uttered that which I didn’t understand, things too wonderful for me, which I didn’t know.You said,‘ Listen, now, and I will speak; I will question you, and you will answer me.’I had heard of you by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees you.Therefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.”
