我當蒙羞而臥、以恥蔽身、蓋我與我列祖、自幼迄今、干犯我上帝耶和華、不從其言、

自古迄今、我之列祖、爰及我躬、獲罪於我之上帝耶和華、不遵其命、故蒙羞恥、一蹶不振。

Let us lie down in our shame, and let our disgrace cover us. We have sinned against the Lord our God, both we and our ancestors; from our youth till this day we have not obeyed the Lord our God.”

爾平康之時、我曾諭爾、乃爾云、我不願聽、自爾幼年以來、爾不聽我言、此爾故習、

爾自取斯害、因主爾之天主、導爾於途時、爾乃棄之、

寢於地之塵埃者、多有復醒、其中有得永生者、有永受羞辱者、

我民歟、當衣麻輾轉於塵埃、舉哀痛哭、若喪獨子、蓋殘殺毀滅者、忽至而攻我儕、

爾昔日所行之事、今日所恥者、獲何益益原文作果哉、因此事終致死亡、

我之列祖、獲罪而亡、今我負其罪愆、

爾並未嘗聞之、未嘗知之、爾耳從未啟也、我知爾詐偽、自有生以來、稱為悖逆者、

惟爾不可與斯地之居民立約、當毀其祭壇、爾竟不遵我言、爾何為哉、

賊盜被執則慚愧、以色列族、及其君王、侯伯、祭司、先知、慚愧亦若是、

惟爾斯眾、皆自燃火、自圍以火炬、以為光照、且恃爾之火光、及爾所燃之火炬而行、當知我必降災於爾、使爾憂痛偃臥、或作爾曹燃火自圍以火炬爾必入爾所燃之烈火內至爾所燃之火炬中我必使爾遭遇如此使爾憂痛偃臥

我至大至能至可畏踐約施恩之天主歟、凡我列王、牧伯、祭司、先知、列祖、及主之民眾、自亞述列王之時、至於今日、所遭之患難、求主莫以為不足、我儕遭諸患難、主無不義、我儕行惡、主所行惟誠實、我列王、牧伯、祭司、列祖、不遵守主之律法、不聽從主之誡命、及主所警戒之言、

主之僕諸先知、奉主之命、勸教我儕君王、我儕牧伯、我儕列祖、及國之庶民、俱弗聽從、猶大人、耶路撒冷居民、及以色列眾、因獲罪於主、主逐之散於各邦、或近或遠、有若今日之景況、我儕遭此、面蒙羞愧、惟主至公至義、主歟、我儕君王、我儕牧伯、我儕列祖獲罪於主、面蒙羞愧、我儕雖悖逆主我之天主、主仍矜憫赦宥、我儕不聽從主我天主之命、不遵行主藉主之僕、諸先知、所賜我之律法、

不聽師言、不向教我者傾耳、

我儕列祖在伊及、不明悟主之奇跡、不記憶主之大恩、在紅海邊肆行叛逆、

我天主歟、我含羞負愧、不敢向我天主仰面、蓋我儕罪惡滅頂、我儕愆尤滔天、自列祖時至於今日、我愆尤甚重、因我罪惡、我與我王並祭司、見付於異邦人手、被刀殺、被擄掠、被劫奪、面蒙羞恥、有如今日之事、今主我之天主暫施恩於我、存我遺民、使我在其聖地安然而居、我天主亦光照我目、使我於受轄制之中、稍復振興、我雖為人服役、在受轄制之中、我天主仍未棄我、使我在巴西王前蒙矜憐、賜我新生、賜我新生或作全我生命能復建我天主之殿、補其傾圮、又使我在猶大及耶路撒冷得得或作重建城垣、我天主施若是之恩後、我儕又棄主之誡命、我尚何言哉、昔主藉主之僕眾先知命我曰、爾往欲得之地、乃污穢地、因其地居民、行污穢可憎之事、使其四境使其四境或作全地由此邊至彼邊悉染污穢、故勿以爾女嫁其子、勿為爾子娶其女、永勿求其平康、勿助之得利、如是、則可強盛、享其地之佳產、且遺其地於爾子孫、以為永業、我天主歟、我因惡行大罪、遭遇此事之後、我天主仍惜我、雖罰我、猶不及我罪、雖罰我猶不及我罪或作不按我重罪而罰我賜我如斯之拯救、我儕豈可復違主命、與行此可憎事之諸族通嫁娶、苟如是行、必干主震怒、滅我淨盡、不遺一人得免、主以色列之天主至仁慈、使我所餘之人得免、有如今日之事、我反於主前復犯罪愆、因此不敢立於主前、

主天主曰、以色列族歟、爾曹當知我行此、非為爾故、爾曹當因爾之行為、含羞抱愧、

腰間束麻、徧身戰慄、面悉蒙羞、首皆除髮、
