“人子啊，你拿一根杖来，写上‘犹大和他的以色列同伴’，然后再拿另一根杖，写上‘约瑟，即以法莲，与他的以色列同伴’。然后把这两根杖连成一根，拿在手中。当你的同胞问你这是什么意思时，你就告诉他们，主耶和华这样说，‘我要把约瑟和他的以色列同伴的杖，就是以法莲手中的杖，与犹大的杖在我手中连成一根。’你要拿着这两根写着字的杖让他们看，告诉他们，主耶和华这样说，‘我要把以色列的百姓从他们分散的各国招聚起来，领他们回归故土。我要使他们在以色列的土地和群山上成为一国，只有一位王统治他们，不再分为两个国家。

耶和华说：“以法莲用谎话包围我，以色列家用诡诈环绕我；犹大依然背离圣洁、信实的上帝。

耶和华说，‘看啊，时候将到，我要使我被掳的子民——以色列人和犹大人回到故土，回到我赐给他们祖先的土地上。这是耶和华说的。’”

那时，在以色列必找不到过犯，在犹大必找不到罪恶，因为我必赦免我保留下来的余民。这是耶和华说的。

“因此，主耶和华说，‘我要使雅各被掳的人回到故土，我要怜悯全以色列人，热心维护我的圣名。当他们在故土安居，没有人来威胁他们的时候，他们就会忘记自己所有的羞辱和得罪我的恶事。我从列国把他们领回，从敌国把他们召回来的时候，我要借着他们向列国彰显我的圣洁。我让他们被掳到各国，将来必召集他们返回故土，不撇下一人。这样，他们便知道我是他们的上帝耶和华。

“我必使犹大家强盛，我必拯救约瑟家。我必带他们回到故土，因为我怜悯他们。他们必好像从未被我抛弃一样，因为我是他们的上帝耶和华，我必应允他们的祷告。
