爾干罪於爾上帝耶和華、奔馳諸路、在諸綠樹之下、崇事他神、不從我言、當自認爾罪、耶和華言之矣、

我耶和華爾之上帝、爾違逆予、不遵我命、入諸茂林、崇事他上帝、今當任過。

惟當自認罪愆、蓋爾違逆主爾之天主、奔馳歧途、在各茂樹下、崇拜他神、不聽我命、此乃主所言、

Only acknowledge your guilt— you have rebelled against the Lord your God, you have scattered your favors to foreign gods under every spreading tree, and have not obeyed me,’” declares the Lord.

Admit that you are guilty of doing what is wrong. You have refused to obey me. I am the Lord your God. You have committed adultery with other gods. You worshiped them under every green tree. And you have not obeyed me,’ ” announces the Lord.

Only acknowledge your guilt, that you rebelled against the Lord your God and scattered your favors among foreigners under every green tree, and that you have not obeyed my voice, declares the Lord.

Only acknowledge your guilt. Admit that you rebelled against the Lord your God and committed adultery against him by worshiping idols under every green tree. Confess that you refused to listen to my voice. I, the Lord, have spoken!

“當這一切事，就是我擺在你面前的祝福和咒詛，都臨到你身上的時候，你在耶和華你的神趕逐你去的萬國中，你心裡必回想這些話，你和你的子孫必一心一意歸向耶和華你的神，照著我今日吩咐你的一切聽從他的話。那時，耶和華你的神就必使你這被擄的人回歸，他必憐憫你；耶和華你的神必從你被分散到的萬民中，把你再召集回來。

約西亞王在位的日子，耶和華對我說：“背道的以色列所作的，她怎樣走上各高山，在每棵繁茂的樹下行淫，你看見了沒有？

你們要把你們趕走的列國的人事奉神的地方，無論是在高山上，在山岡上，或是在各青翠樹下，都要完全毀壞；

但願我們躺臥在羞恥中，讓慚愧遮蓋著我們！因為我們得罪了耶和華我們的神，從我們幼年直到現在，我們和列祖都沒有聽從耶和華我們的神的話。”

“你從古時就折斷了自己的軛，解開了自己的繩索，說：‘我不事奉你了。’你在每個高岡上，在每棵繁茂樹下，蹲伏行淫。

我要起來，到我父親那裡去，對他說：爸爸，我得罪了天，也得罪了你，不配再稱為你的兒子，把我當作一個雇工吧！’於是他起來往父親那裡去。他還在遠處時，他父親看見了他，就動了慈心，跑過去抱著他，連連與他親吻。兒子說：‘爸爸，我得罪了天，也得罪了你，不配再稱為你的兒子。’

“你向光禿的高岡舉目看看，哪裡沒有你的淫跡？你坐在路邊等候情人，像阿拉伯人在曠野埋伏一樣。你以淫亂和邪惡，把這地玷污了。

你又為自己建造高岡，在各廣場上築起高壇。你在各路口建造高壇，使你的美麗變為可憎的，又向每一個過路的人張開兩腿，多行淫亂。

耶和華啊！我們承認我們的罪惡，和我們列祖的罪孽；我們實在得罪了你。

“那時他們就會承認自己的罪孽和他們祖先的罪孽，就是他們對我不忠的過犯，又承認因為行事與我的心意相違，以致我也與他們作對，把他們帶到他們的仇敵之地。如果他們未受割禮的心這樣謙卑下來，情願接受他們罪孽的刑罰，我就記念我與雅各所立的約，記念我與以撒所立的約，與亞伯拉罕所立的約；我也記念這地。

“我清楚聽見以法蓮為自己哀歎，說：‘你管教了我，我像一頭不馴服的牛犢受管教；求你使我回轉，我就得以回轉，因為你是耶和華我的神。我回轉以後，就深深悔悟；我醒覺以後，就拍腿悔恨。因為我承受年幼時的恥辱，我感到羞恥和慚愧。’以法蓮是我親愛的兒子嗎？是我喜悅的孩子嗎？每逢我說話攻擊他，我必再次記念他。因此，我的心戀慕他；我必定憐憫他。”這是耶和華的宣告。

他在人面前歌唱，說：‘我犯了罪，顛倒是非，但我沒有受到應得的報應。他救贖我的性命免入深坑，我的生命必得見光明。’

遮掩自己過犯的，必不亨通；承認並離棄過犯的，必蒙憐憫。

“‘可是你倚仗你的美麗，又憑著你的名聲去行淫；你向每一個過路的人縱情淫亂（《馬索拉文本》在本節最後有“而那便成了屬他的”；現參照《七十士譯本》和其他古譯本的較短讀文翻譯）。

我們若說自己沒有罪，就是自欺，真理就不在我們裡面了。我們若承認自己的罪，神是信實的、公義的，必定赦免我們的罪，潔淨我們脫離一切不義。我們若說自己沒有犯過罪，就是把神當作說謊的，他的道就不在我們心裡了。
