therefore Yahweh says,“ Behold, I will punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite and his offspring. He will not have a man to dwell among this people. He won’t see the good that I will do to my people,” says Yahweh,“ because he has spoken rebellion against Yahweh.”’”

故此永恆主這麼說：看吧，我必察罰尼希蘭人示瑪雅和他的後裔；他必沒有一人住在這人民中間得見我所要施行於我人民的福樂，永恆主發神諭說，因為他向永恆主說了叛逆的話。」』

故耶和華曰、我必罰尼希蘭人示瑪雅、爰及苗裔、蓋彼出言悖逆耶和華、必無一人生存、居於民中、亦不得見我所將錫我民之福、耶和華言之矣、

故我云、必罰之、爰及苗裔、彼使人違我、故我錫福於斯民、彼不得享、彼之子孫、必絕滅於民間。

故主如是云、我必罰尼希蘭人示瑪雅、爰及苗裔、無一人存留居斯民中、不得見我所欲降我民之福、因彼所言、使人違逆我、我原文作主此乃主所言、

this is what the Lord says: I will surely punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite and his descendants. He will have no one left among this people, nor will he see the good things I will do for my people, declares the Lord, because he has preached rebellion against me.’”

So I say,‘ I will certainly punish Shemaiah, the Nehelamite. I will also punish his children after him. He will not have any children left among these people. I will do good things for my people. But he will not see them,’ ” ’ ” announces the Lord.“ ‘ “ ‘That’s because he has taught people to turn against me.’ ” ’ ”

therefore thus says the Lord: Behold, I will punish Shemaiah of Nehelam and his descendants. He shall not have anyone living among this people, and he shall not see the good that I will do to my people, declares the Lord, for he has spoken rebellion against the Lord.’”

I will punish him and his family. None of his descendants will see the good things I will do for my people, for he has incited you to rebel against me. I, the Lord, have spoken!’”

this is what the LORD says: I am about to punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite and his descendants. There will not be even one of his descendants living among these people, nor will any ever see the good that I will bring to my people— this is the LORD’s declaration— for he has preached rebellion against the LORD.’”

therefore this is what the Lord says:“ Behold, I am going to punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite and his descendants; he will not have anyone living among this people, and he will not see the good that I am going to do for My people,” declares the Lord,“ because he has spoken falsely against the Lord.” ’ ”

therefore thus says the Lord: Behold, I will punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite and his family: he shall not have anyone to dwell among this people, nor shall he see the good that I will do for My people, says the Lord, because he has taught rebellion against the Lord.

therefore thus saith Jehovah, Behold, I will punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite, and his seed; he shall not have a man to dwell among this people, neither shall he behold the good that I will do unto my people, saith Jehovah, because he hath spoken rebellion against Jehovah.

this is what the Lord says: I am about to punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite and his descendants. There will not be even one of his descendants living among these people, nor will any ever see the good that I will bring to My people”— this is the Lord’s declaration—“ for he has preached rebellion against the Lord.”

Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite, and his seed: he shall not have a man to dwell among this people; neither shall he behold the good that I will do for my people, saith the LORD; because he hath taught rebellion against the LORD.

Because he has done this,” the LORD says,“ I will punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite and his whole family. There will not be any of them left to experience the good things that I will do for my people. I, the LORD, affirm it! For he counseled rebellion against the LORD.”’”

Therefore Yahweh says,‘ Behold, I will send you away from off the surface of the earth. This year you will die, because you have spoken rebellion against Yahweh.’”

For he will be like a bush in the desert, and will not see when good comes, but will inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, an uninhabited salt land.

and that captain answered the man of God, and said,“ Now, behold, if Yahweh made windows in heaven, might such a thing be?” and he said,“ Behold, you will see it with your eyes, but will not eat of it.”It happened like that to him; for the people trampled over him in the gate, and he died.

“ Therefore Yahweh, the God of Israel, says,‘ I said indeed that your house and the house of your father should walk before me forever.’ But now Yahweh says,‘ Far be it from me; for those who honor me I will honor, and those who despise me will be cursed.Behold, the days come that I will cut off your arm and the arm of your father’s house, that there will not be an old man in your house.You will see the affliction of my habitation, in all the wealth which I will give Israel. There shall not be an old man in your house forever.The man of yours whom I don’t cut off from my altar will consume your eyes and grieve your heart. All the increase of your house will die in the flower of their age.This will be the sign to you that will come on your two sons, on Hophni and Phinehas: in one day they will both die.

Then the captain on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said,“ Behold, if Yahweh made windows in heaven, could this thing be?” He said,“ Behold, you will see it with your eyes, but will not eat of it.”

Yahweh says,“ Record this man as childless, a man who will not prosper in his days; for no more will a man of his offspring prosper, sitting on David’s throne, and ruling in Judah.”

you shall not bow yourself down to them, nor serve them, for I, Yahweh your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and on the fourth generation of those who hate me,

You, Pashhur, and all who dwell in your house will go into captivity. You will come to Babylon, and there you will die, and there you will be buried, you, and all your friends, to whom you have prophesied falsely.’”

Joshua, and all Israel with him, took Achan the son of Zerah, the silver, the robe, the wedge of gold, his sons, his daughters, his cattle, his donkeys, his sheep, his tent, and all that he had; and they brought them up to the valley of Achor.Joshua said,“ Why have you troubled us? Yahweh will trouble you today.” All Israel stoned him with stones, and they burned them with fire and stoned them with stones.

Therefore the leprosy of Naaman will cling to you and to your offspring forever.” He went out from his presence a leper, as white as snow.

So they went away from the tent of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram, on every side. Dathan and Abiram came out, and stood at the door of their tents with their wives, their sons, and their little ones.Moses said,“ Hereby you shall know that Yahweh has sent me to do all these works; for they are not from my own mind.If these men die the common death of all men, or if they experience what all men experience, then Yahweh hasn’t sent me.But if Yahweh makes a new thing, and the ground opens its mouth, and swallows them up with all that belong to them, and they go down alive into Sheol, then you shall understand that these men have despised Yahweh.”As he finished speaking all these words, the ground that was under them split apart.The earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up with their households, all of Korah’s men, and all their goods.So they, and all that belonged to them went down alive into Sheol. The earth closed on them, and they perished from among the assembly.

therefore Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, says:‘ Jonadab the son of Rechab will not lack a man to stand before me forever.’”

Therefore Yahweh says:‘ Your wife shall be a prostitute in the city, and your sons and your daughters shall fall by the sword, and your land shall be divided by line; and you yourself shall die in a land that is unclean, and Israel shall surely be led away captive out of his land.’”

You will not join them in burial, because you have destroyed your land. You have killed your people. The offspring of evildoers will not be named forever.

For Yahweh says,“ After seventy years are accomplished for Babylon, I will visit you and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place.For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh,“ thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.You shall call on me, and you shall go and pray to me, and I will listen to you.You shall seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart.I will be found by you,” says Yahweh,“ and I will turn again your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places where I have driven you, says Yahweh. I will bring you again to the place from where I caused you to be carried away captive.”

“ I will rise up against them,” says Yahweh of Armies,“ and cut off from Babylon name and remnant, and son and son’s son,” says Yahweh.

Let his days be few. Let another take his office.Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow.Let his children be wandering beggars. Let them be sought from their ruins.Let the creditor seize all that he has. Let strangers plunder the fruit of his labor.Let there be no one to extend kindness to him, neither let there be anyone to have pity on his fatherless children.Let his posterity be cut off. In the generation following let their name be blotted out.Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered by Yahweh. Don’t let the sin of his mother be blotted out.Let them be before Yahweh continually, that he may cut off their memory from the earth;
