“你要寄信給所有被擄的人，說：‘論到尼希蘭人示瑪雅，耶和華這樣說：因為示瑪雅向你們說預言，我並沒有差遣他，他竟使你們信靠謊言。

“你当寄信给一切被掳的人说：‘耶和华论到尼希兰人示玛雅说：因为示玛雅向你们说预言，我并没有差遣他，他使你们倚靠谎言；

“你当送信给所有被掳的人，说：‘耶和华论到尼希兰人示玛雅说：因为示玛雅向你们说预言，使你们倚靠谎言，而我并没有差遣他，

“你当送信给所有被掳的人，说：‘耶和华论到尼希兰人示玛雅说：因为示玛雅向你们说预言，使你们倚靠谎言，而我并没有差遣他，

“你派人送信给所有被掳的人，说，‘耶和华说祂没有差遣尼希兰人示玛雅，他却说预言，诱使你们听信谎言，

“你要寄信给所有被掳的人，说：‘论到尼希兰人示玛雅，耶和华这样说：因为示玛雅向你们说预言，我并没有差遣他，他竟使你们信靠谎言。

「你當寄信給一切被擄的人說：『耶和華論到尼希蘭人示瑪雅說：因為示瑪雅向你們說預言，我並沒有差遣他，他使你們倚靠謊言；

「你當送信給所有被擄的人，說：『耶和華論到尼希蘭人示瑪雅說：因為示瑪雅向你們說預言，使你們倚靠謊言，而我並沒有差遣他，

「你當送信給所有被擄的人，說：『耶和華論到尼希蘭人示瑪雅說：因為示瑪雅向你們說預言，使你們倚靠謊言，而我並沒有差遣他，

「你派人送信給所有被擄的人，說，『耶和華說祂沒有差遣尼希蘭人示瑪雅，他卻說預言，誘使你們聽信謊言，

『你要寄信給所有流亡的人說：「永恆主論尼希蘭人示瑪雅是這麼說的：因為示瑪雅向你們傳神言，而我並沒有差遣了他，他竟使你們倚靠着虛假，

致書告諸俘囚曰、耶和華論尼希蘭人示瑪雅云、緣示瑪雅與爾預言、我未遣之、惟彼使爾妄誕是恃、

爾當致書、告諸俘囚者曰、尼希蘭人示罵雅、予耶和華未之遣也、彼傳言以惑眾、

爾當致書、告諸被擄者曰、主如是云、尼希蘭人示瑪雅、我未嘗遣之、彼竟於爾妄傳預言、使爾倚賴虛誑、

“ Send this message to all the exiles:‘ This is what the Lord says about Shemaiah the Nehelamite: Because Shemaiah has prophesied to you, even though I did not send him, and has persuaded you to trust in lies,

“ Send a message to all the people who were taken away. Tell them,‘ The Lord speaks about Shemaiah, the Nehelamite. He says,“ Shemaiah has prophesied to you. But I did not send him. He has made you trust in lies.

“ Send to all the exiles, saying,‘ Thus says the Lord concerning Shemaiah of Nehelam: Because Shemaiah had prophesied to you when I did not send him, and has made you trust in a lie,

“ Send an open letter to all the exiles in Babylon. Tell them,‘ This is what the Lord says concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite: Since he has prophesied to you when I did not send him and has tricked you into believing his lies,

“ Send a message to all the exiles, saying,‘ This is what the LORD says concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite. Because Shemaiah prophesied to you, though I did not send him, and made you trust a lie,

“ Send word to all the exiles, saying,‘ This is what the Lord says concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite:“ Because Shemaiah has prophesied to you, although I did not send him, and he has made you trust in a lie,”

Send to all those in captivity, saying, Thus says the Lord concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite: Because Shemaiah has prophesied to you, and I have not sent him, and he has caused you to trust in a lie—

Send to all them of the captivity, saying, Thus saith Jehovah concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite: Because that Shemaiah hath prophesied unto you, and I sent him not, and he hath caused you to trust in a lie;

“ Send a message to all the exiles, saying: This is what the Lord says concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite. Because Shemaiah prophesied to you, though I did not send him, and made you trust a lie,

Send to all them of the captivity, saying, Thus saith the LORD concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite; Because that Shemaiah hath prophesied unto you, and I sent him not, and he caused you to trust in a lie:

“ Send a message to all the exiles in Babylon. Tell them,‘ The LORD has spoken about Shemaiah the Nehelamite.“ Shemaiah has spoken to you as a prophet even though I did not send him. He is making you trust in a lie.

“ Send to all of the captives, saying,‘ Yahweh says concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite:“ Because Shemaiah has prophesied to you, and I didn’t send him, and he has caused you to trust in a lie;”

因為他們冒我名對你們說虛假的預言，我並沒有差派他們。’這是耶和華的宣告。

我沒有使義人灰心，你們卻用謊言使他們灰心，又堅固惡人的手，使他們不轉離惡道而得拯救。因此，你們不得再見虛假的異象，也不得再行占卜的事；我要救我的子民脫離你們的手。你們就知道我是耶和華。’”

耶和華對我說：“那些先知借我的名說假預言；我並沒有差遣他們，沒有吩咐他們，也沒有向他們說話。他們對你們所預言的，是虛假的異象、占卜的預兆、虛無的事，和他們自己心裡的詭詐。”因此，耶和華這樣說：“關於那些借我名說預言的先知，我並沒有差遣他們，他們竟說：‘這地必不會有刀劍和饑荒。’那些先知必被刀劍和饑荒滅絕。

因此，主耶和華這樣說：“因為你們所說的是虛假，所見的是欺詐，因此我就攻擊你們。這是主耶和華的宣告。我的手必攻擊那些看見虛假異象、以占卜騙人的先知，他們必不得列在我子民的會中，不得被記錄在以色列家的名冊上，也不得進入以色列地；你們就知道我是主耶和華。因為他們迷惑了我的子民，說：‘平安了。’其實沒有平安。有人築起薄牆的時候，他們就用灰泥粉刷那牆。所以你要對那些用灰泥粉刷那牆的人說：‘那牆要倒塌，必有暴雨漫過。大冰雹啊！你們要降下，狂風也必暴颳。’那牆倒塌以後，人豈不會問你們：‘你們所粉刷的在哪裡呢？’”因此，主耶和華這樣說：“我要在我的烈怒中使狂風暴颳；在我的忿怒中有暴雨漫過；在烈怒中有大冰雹降下毀滅這牆。我要拆毀你們用灰泥粉刷的牆。使它傾倒在地，以致根基露出來；牆必倒塌，你們必在其中滅亡；你們就知道我是耶和華。我必這樣向牆，和向那些用灰泥粉刷這牆的人發盡我的烈怒。我要對他們說：‘牆沒有了！粉刷那牆的人也沒有了！’粉刷那牆的人，就是以色列的眾先知；他們指著耶路撒冷說預言，在沒有平安的時候，為這城見平安的異象。這是主耶和華的宣告。

因為他們二人在以色列中行了無恥的事，他們和鄰舍的妻子通姦，又冒我的名說虛假的話，是我沒有吩咐他們說的。我知道一切，也可以作證。’這是耶和華的宣告。”耶和華吩咐耶利米說：“你要對尼希蘭人示瑪雅說：

“我沒有差派這些先知，但他們自己到處跑；我沒有對他們說話，他們竟擅自說預言。

耶利米先知就對哈拿尼雅先知說：“哈拿尼雅啊！你要聽，耶和華並沒有差遣你，你竟使這人民信靠謊言。因此耶和華這樣說：‘看哪！我必使你離開人世；你今年一定死，因為你說了悖逆耶和華的話。’”這樣，在當年七月，哈拿尼雅先知就死了。

從前在人民中，曾有假先知出來；照樣，將來在你們中間，也必有假教師出現。他們偷偷把使人滅亡的異端引進來，甚至否認那曾經買贖他們的主，迅速地自取滅亡。
