With my great power and outstretched arm I made the earth and its people and the animals that are on it, and I give it to anyone I please.

I reached out my great and powerful arm. I made the earth. I made its people and animals. And I can give the earth to anyone I please.

“ It is I who by my great power and my outstretched arm have made the earth, with the men and animals that are on the earth, and I give it to whomever it seems right to me.

With my great strength and powerful arm I made the earth and all its people and every animal. I can give these things of mine to anyone I choose.

“ By my great strength and outstretched arm, I made the earth, and the people, and animals on the face of the earth. I give it to anyone I please.

‘ I have made the earth, mankind, and the animals which are on the face of the earth by My great power and by My outstretched arm, and I will give it to the one who is pleasing in My sight.

‘ I have made the earth, the man and the beast that are on the ground, by My great power and by My outstretched arm, and have given it to whom it seemed proper to Me.

I have made the earth, the men and the beasts that are upon the face of the earth, by my great power and by my outstretched arm; and I give it unto whom it seemeth right unto me.

By My great strength and outstretched arm, I made the earth, and the people, and animals on the face of the earth. I give it to anyone I please.

I have made the earth, the man and the beast that[ are] upon the ground, by my great power and by my outstretched arm, and have given it unto whom it seemed meet unto me.

‘ I have made the earth, the men, and the animals that are on the surface of the earth by my great power and by my outstretched arm. I give it to whom it seems right to me.

‘ Oh, Lord GOD, you did indeed make heaven and earth by your mighty power and great strength. Nothing is too hard for you!

May you be blessed by the LORD, the creator of heaven and earth!The heavens belong to the LORD, but the earth he has given to mankind.

This announcement is by the decree of the sentinels; this decision is by the pronouncement of the holy ones, so that those who are alive may understand that the Most High has authority over human kingdoms, and he bestows them on whomever he wishes. He establishes over them even the lowliest of human beings.’

How blessed is the one whose helper is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the LORD his God,the one who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, who remains forever faithful,

This is what the true God, the LORD, says– the one who created the sky and stretched it out, the one who fashioned the earth and everything that lives on it, the one who gives breath to the people on it, and life to those who live on it:

He is the one who by his power made the earth. He is the one who by his wisdom fixed the world in place, by his understanding he spread out the heavens.

I made the earth, I created the people who live on it. It was me– my hands stretched out the sky, I give orders to all the heavenly lights.

“ You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, since you created all things, and because of your will they existed and were created!”

You people of Israel should tell those nations this:‘ These gods did not make heaven and earth. They will disappear from the earth and from under the heavens.’The LORD is the one who by his power made the earth. He is the one who by his wisdom established the world. And by his understanding he spread out the skies.

to the one who used wisdom to make the heavens, for his loyal love endures,to the one who spread out the earth over the water, for his loyal love endures,to the one who made the great lights, for his loyal love endures,the sun to rule by day, for his loyal love endures,the moon and stars to rule by night, for his loyal love endures,

Yes, my hand founded the earth; my right hand spread out the sky. I summon them; they stand together.

“ Men, why are you doing these things? We too are men, with human natures just like you! We are proclaiming the good news to you, so that you should turn from these worthless things to the living God, who made the heaven, the earth, the sea, and everything that is in them.

Why do you forget the LORD, who made you, who stretched out the sky and founded the earth? Why do you constantly tremble all day long at the anger of the oppressor, when he makes plans to destroy? Where is the anger of the oppressor?

Whom do I resemble?” says the Holy One.Look up at the sky! Who created all these heavenly lights? He is the one who leads out their ranks; he calls them all by name. Because of his absolute power and awesome strength, not one of them is missing.

This is what the LORD, your protector, says, the one who formed you in the womb:“ I am the LORD, who made everything, who alone stretched out the sky, who fashioned the earth all by myself,

For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth and the sea and all that is in them, and he rested on the seventh day; therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and set it apart as holy.

in these last days he has spoken to us in a son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he created the world.

Tell me, if you know it all!“ In what direction does light reside, and darkness, where is its place,that you may take them to their borders and perceive the pathways to their homes?You know, for you were born before them; and the number of your days is great!Have you entered the storehouse of the snow, or seen the armory of the hail,which I reserve for the time of trouble, for the day of war and battle?In what direction is lightning dispersed, or the east winds scattered over the earth?Who carves out a channel for the heavy rains, and a path for the rumble of thunder,to cause it to rain on an uninhabited land, a desert where there are no human beings,to satisfy a devastated and desolate land, and to cause it to sprout with vegetation?Does the rain have a father, or who has fathered the drops of the dew?From whose womb does the ice emerge, and the frost from the sky, who gives birth to it,when the waters become hard like stone, when the surface of the deep is frozen solid?Can you tie the bands of the Pleiades, or release the cords of Orion?Can you lead out the constellations in their seasons, or guide the Bear with its cubs?Do you know the laws of the heavens, or can you set up their rule over the earth?Can you raise your voice to the clouds so that a flood of water covers you?Can you send out lightning bolts, and they go? Will they say to you,‘ Here we are’?Who has put wisdom in the heart, or has imparted understanding to the mind?Who by wisdom can count the clouds, and who can tip over the water jars of heaven,when the dust hardens into a mass, and the clumps of earth stick together?“ Do you hunt prey for the lioness, and satisfy the appetite of the lions,when they crouch in their dens, when they wait in ambush in the thicket?Who prepares prey for the raven, when its young cry out to God and wander about for lack of food?

He defeated many nations, and killed mighty kings–Sihon, king of the Amorites, and Og, king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan.He gave their land as an inheritance, as an inheritance to Israel his people.

But when you come close to the Ammonites, do not harass or provoke them because I am not giving you any of the Ammonites’ land as your possession; I have already given it to Lot’s descendants as their possession.

any kind of land animal, any bird that flies in the sky,

Then the LORD said to me,“ Do not harass Moab and provoke them to war, for I will not give you any of their land as your territory. This is because I have given Ar to the descendants of Lot as their possession.

All along the way I, the LORD your God, have blessed your every effort. I have been attentive to your travels through this great wasteland. These forty years I have been with you; you have lacked for nothing.’”

Every living creature of the earth and every bird of the sky will be terrified of you. Everything that creeps on the ground and all the fish of the sea are under your authority.You may eat any moving thing that lives. As I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything.

You have been taught that the LORD alone is God– there is no other besides him.

Then God said,“ I now give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the entire earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.And to all the animals of the earth, and to every bird of the air, and to all the creatures that move on the ground– everything that has the breath of life in it– I give every green plant for food.” It was so.

After you have produced children and grandchildren and have been in the land a long time, if you become corrupt and make an image of any kind and do other evil things before the LORD your God that enrage him,

They are your people, your valued property, whom you brought out with great strength and power.

They are a people as powerful, numerous, and tall as the Anakites. But the LORD destroyed the Rephaites in advance of the Ammonites, so they dispossessed them and settled down in their place.

In earlier times you established the earth; the skies are your handiwork.

Indeed, ask about the distant past, starting from the day God created humankind on the earth, and ask from one end of heaven to the other, whether there has ever been such a great thing as this, or even a rumor of it.

When the Most High gave the nations their inheritance, when he divided up humankind, he set the boundaries of the peoples, according to the number of the heavenly assembly.

“ Thus says King Cyrus of Persia:“‘ The LORD God of heaven has given me all the kingdoms of the earth. He has instructed me to build a temple for him in Jerusalem, which is in Judah.

“ The dead tremble– those beneath the waters and all that live in them.The underworld is naked before God; the place of destruction lies uncovered.He spreads out the northern skies over empty space; he suspends the earth on nothing.He locks the waters in his clouds, and the clouds do not burst with the weight of them.He conceals the face of the full moon, shrouding it with his clouds.He marks out the horizon on the surface of the waters as a boundary between light and darkness.The pillars of the heavens tremble and are amazed at his rebuke.By his power he stills the sea; by his wisdom he cut Rahab the great sea monster to pieces.By his breath the skies became fair; his hand pierced the fleeing serpent.Indeed, these are but the outer fringes of his ways! How faint is the whisper we hear of him! But who can understand the thunder of his power?”

Honor your father and your mother just as the LORD your God has commanded you to do, so that your days may be extended and that it may go well with you in the land that he is about to give you.

“ Whoever sheds human blood, by other humans must his blood be shed; for in God’s image God has made humankind.”

The God who made the world and everything in it, who is Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by human hands,

“ Moses my servant is dead. Get ready! Cross the Jordan River! Lead these people into the land which I am ready to hand over to them.I am handing over to you every place you set foot, as I promised Moses.
