But if any nation will bow its neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon and serve him, I will let that nation remain in its own land to till it and to live there, declares the Lord.”’”

But suppose any nation will put its neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon. And suppose it serves him. Then I will let that nation remain in its own land. I will let its people plow the land and live there,” ’ ” announces the Lord.

But the people of any nation that submits to the king of Babylon will be allowed to stay in their own country to farm the land as usual. I, the Lord, have spoken!’”

But as for the nation that will put its neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon and serve him, I will leave it in its own land, and that nation will cultivate it and reside in it. This is the LORD’s declaration.”’”

Things will go better for the nation that submits to the yoke of servitude to the king of Babylon and is subject to him. I will leave that nation in its native land. Its people can continue to farm it and live in it. I, the LORD, affirm it!”’”

“耶和华说，‘凡留在这城的，必死于刀剑、饥荒和瘟疫；凡出去向迦勒底人投降的，必保全性命。’

沙番的孙子、亚希甘的儿子基大利对他们起誓说：“你们不要怕臣服于迦勒底人，只管住在这里做巴比伦王的臣民，你们会平安无事。至于我，我要留在米斯巴，代表你们与迦勒底人会面。你们要储备酒、夏天的果子和油，存放在器皿内，在你们所住的城邑生活。”在摩押、亚扪、以东及各国的犹大人听说巴比伦王留下一些人，并委任沙番的孙子、亚希甘的儿子基大利管理他们，便从各地回到犹大，去米斯巴见基大利。他们储备了大量的酒和夏天的果子。

‘如果你们留在这地方，我必扶持你们，决不毁灭你们；我必栽培你们，决不铲除你们。因为我为降在你们身上的灾祸而难过。不要惧怕巴比伦王，不要怕他，因为我必与你们同在，拯救你们脱离他的权势。这是耶和华说的。

我照耶和华的吩咐对犹大王西底迦说：“你们要负巴比伦王的轭，臣服于他和他的人民，这样你们就可存活。
