How dare you prophesy in the name of the LORD,‘ This temple will become like Shiloh and this city will become an uninhabited ruin’!” Then all the people crowded around Jeremiah at the LORD’s temple.

不信之猶太人妒焉、招納市井匪類、在城群集為亂、突至耶孫室、欲取保羅西拉出以示民、不遇、則曳耶孫與數兄弟、送於邑宰、呼曰、有亂天下者至此、耶孫納之、此眾所行、違該撒命、言有他王耶穌也、猶太人言此、悚邑宰與眾之聽、

婢之主見所望之利已失、則執保羅、西拉、曳入市、見有司、解至幕府、曰、此猶太人、騷擾我邑、傳我羅馬人以不當守不當行之規、眾群起攻之、幕府令人褫其衣、杖焉、

眾聽至此、揚聲曰、去此人於世、不容其生、

我儕非嚴禁爾曹、勿以此名訓人乎、爾乃遍耶路撒冷播教、欲以此人之血歸咎我也、○

於是、舉邑震動、民共趨執保羅、曳出殿、殿門閉、

宣播訓言、為人禁止、人不許余宣斯言者、以為凌辱其民、

斯邦之民、悖戾誕妄、不從我法、彼使先見者、毋庸明察、睹異象者、不以正道相勉、而以柔媚之詞相告、以虛誕之理相傳、離經畔道、以色列族之聖主、其名非所樂聞、

言時、王阻之、曰、爾非言官、諫我奚為、獨不畏罪乎。先知不敢復諫、曰、爾弗聽從、我知上帝必敗爾。
