適耶洗別欲殲滅耶和華諸先知、阿巴底匿先知百人於巖穴、每穴五十人、以水以餅為其養贍。

耶路撒冷之民、將出郇山、得救之人將往、因我萬有之主耶和華熱中、必有此為、遂指亞述王、語民曰、彼必不入此城、不以干戈弓矢陳於前、不築壘以攻擊、

耶利米曰、耶和華與、爾鑒察予、眷顧予、伸我之冤、爾既恆忍、勿滅予命、我緣爾故、受人凌辱、爾所知也。萬有之主耶和華與、我為爾僕、聞爾訓言、服膺於心、因以悅懌。侮慢之人、我不樂與之坐、爾言降災、予懷歉仄、默然獨坐。予創傷未痊、殘缺未醫、曷故。爾之待我、若泉之忽竭、使人絕望、曷故。耶和華曰、如爾歸誠、則可為我僕、如爾能別善惡、則可傳我命、民當從爾、爾勿狥民。耶和華又曰、我使爾在民間、若金城之鞏固彼雖攻爾、必不能勝、蓋我左右爾、拯救爾、出爾於惡者暴者之手。

時大亂、千夫長恐保羅被眾分裂、命軍士下、於眾中奪之、引入營、

巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒使沙番孫、亞希甘子其大利、統轄猶大遺民。
