“ Am I a God at hand, declares the Lord, and not a God far away?

耶和华说：“我岂为近处的神呢？不也为远处的神吗？”

我是靠近你们的上帝，不是遥远的上帝，不是吗？这是耶和华说的。

我是靠近你们的神，不是遥远的神，不是吗？这是耶和华说的。

耶和华说：“我是无处不在的上帝。”

难道我只是近处的神吗？不也是远处的神吗？”这是耶和华的宣告。

耶和華說：「我豈為近處的神呢？不也為遠處的神嗎？」

我是靠近你們的神，不是遙遠的神，不是嗎？這是耶和華說的。

耶和華說：「我是無處不在的上帝。」

難道我只是近處的神嗎？不也是遠處的神嗎？”這是耶和華的宣告。

永恆主發神諭說：『我，難道我只是近處的上帝？不也是遠處的上帝麼？

耶和華曰、我為上帝、豈知近而不知遠乎、

耶和華又曰、我為上帝、無間遐邇。

主曰、我為天主、豈獨鑒察近事乎、不亦鑒察遠事乎、

“ Am I only a God nearby,” declares the Lord,“ and not a God far away?

“ Am I only a God who is nearby?” announces the Lord.“ Am I not a God who is also far away?

Am I a God who is only close at hand?” says the Lord.“ No, I am far away at the same time.

“ Am I a God who is only near”— this is the LORD’s declaration—“ and not a God who is far away?

“ Am I a God who is near,” declares the Lord,“ And not a God far off?

“ Am I a God near at hand,” says the Lord,“ And not a God afar off?

Am I a God at hand, saith Jehovah, and not a God afar off?

“ Am I a God who is only near”— this is the Lord’s declaration—“ and not a God who is far away?

[ Am] I a God at hand, saith the LORD, and not a God afar off?

Do you people think that I am some local deity and not the transcendent God?” the LORD asks.

“ Am I a God at hand,” says Yahweh,“ and not a God afar off?

O Lord, you have searched me and known me!You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from afar.You search out my path and my lying down and are acquainted with all my ways.Even before a word is on my tongue, behold, O Lord, you know it altogether.You hem me in, behind and before, and lay your hand upon me.Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high; I cannot attain it.Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence?If I ascend to heaven, you are there! If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there!If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me.

But Jonah rose to flee to Tarshish from the presence of the Lord. He went down to Joppa and found a ship going to Tarshish. So he paid the fare and went down into it, to go with them to Tarshish, away from the presence of the Lord.But the Lord hurled a great wind upon the sea, and there was a mighty tempest on the sea, so that the ship threatened to break up.

“ What is in your mind shall never happen— the thought,‘ Let us be like the nations, like the tribes of the countries, and worship wood and stone.’“ As I live, declares the Lord God, surely with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm and with wrath poured out I will be king over you.I will bring you out from the peoples and gather you out of the countries where you are scattered, with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm, and with wrath poured out.And I will bring you into the wilderness of the peoples, and there I will enter into judgment with you face to face.

Who is like the Lord our God, who is seated on high,

And a man of God came near and said to the king of Israel,“ Thus says the Lord,‘ Because the Syrians have said,“ The Lord is a god of the hills but he is not a god of the valleys,” therefore I will give all this great multitude into your hand, and you shall know that I am the Lord.’”
