For this is what the Lord says about the palace of the king of Judah:“ Though you are like Gilead to me, like the summit of Lebanon, I will surely make you like a wasteland, like towns not inhabited.

The Lord speaks about the palace of the king of Judah. He says,“ You are like the land of Gilead to me. You are like the highest mountain in Lebanon. But I will make you like a desert. You will become like towns that no one lives in.

For thus says the Lord concerning the house of the king of Judah:“‘ You are like Gilead to me, like the summit of Lebanon, yet surely I will make you a desert, an uninhabited city.

Now this is what the Lord says concerning Judah’s royal palace:“ I love you as much as fruitful Gilead and the green forests of Lebanon. But I will turn you into a desert, with no one living within your walls.

For this is what the LORD says concerning the house of the king of Judah:“ You are like Gilead to me, or the summit of Lebanon, but I will certainly turn you into a wilderness, uninhabited cities.

For this is what the Lord says concerning the house of the king of Judah:“ You are like Gilead to Me, Like the summit of Lebanon; Yet most assuredly I will make you a wilderness, Cities that are not inhabited.

For thus says the Lord to the house of the king of Judah:“ You are Gilead to Me, The head of Lebanon; Yet I surely will make you a wilderness, Cities which are not inhabited.

For thus saith Jehovah concerning the house of the king of Judah: Thou art Gilead unto me, and the head of Lebanon; yet surely I will make thee a wilderness, and cities which are not inhabited.

For this is what the Lord says concerning the house of the king of Judah: You are like Gilead to Me, or the summit of Lebanon, but I will certainly turn you into a wilderness, uninhabited cities.

For thus saith the LORD unto the king’s house of Judah; Thou[ art] Gilead unto me,[ and] the head of Lebanon:[ yet] surely I will make thee a wilderness,[ and] cities[ which] are not inhabited.

“‘ For the LORD says concerning the palace of the king of Judah,“ This place looks like a veritable forest of Gilead to me. It is like the wooded heights of Lebanon in my eyes. But I swear that I will make it like a wilderness whose towns have all been deserted.

For Yahweh says concerning the house of the king of Judah:“ You are Gilead to me, the head of Lebanon. Yet surely I will make you a wilderness, cities which are not inhabited.

堅城荒涼，被人遺棄，如同曠野。牛犢在那裡吃草、躺臥，吃光樹枝上的葉子。

我要使猶大各城和耶路撒冷街上的歡樂聲、新郎和新娘的歡笑聲全部消失，因為大地必荒涼。」

耶和華說：「我要使耶路撒冷淪為廢墟，成為豺狼出沒之地；我要使猶大的城邑荒涼，不見人煙。」

「猶大王希西迦執政期間，摩利沙人彌迦對猶大眾人預言說，『萬軍之耶和華說錫安必被夷為平地，耶路撒冷必淪為廢墟，聖殿山要成為一片荒林。』

他們坐下來吃飯的時候，看見一隊從基列來的以實瑪利商人用駱駝馱著香料、乳香、沒藥去埃及。

求你讓我過去看看約旦河那邊的佳美之地——那美好的山區和黎巴嫩。』

我必使這殿像示羅一樣被毀，使耶路撒冷被萬國咒詛。」』」祭司、先知和民眾都聽見了耶利米在耶和華的殿裡說的這些話。耶利米傳達完耶和華的話之後，祭司、先知和民眾就抓住他，說：「你真該死！你為什麼奉耶和華的名預言這殿必像示羅一樣被毀，這城必要荒無人煙呢？」於是，他們在耶和華的殿裡把耶利米圍了起來。

照你的所作所為懲罰你；我要點燃你的樹林，燒光你周圍的一切。這是耶和華說的。』」

你要告訴他們，主耶和華這樣說，『我憑我的永恆起誓，那些住在廢墟中的必死於刀下，逃到田野的必被野獸吞吃，躲進堡壘和洞穴的必死於瘟疫。我要使這片土地荒涼不堪，使她所誇耀的勢力消逝。以色列的山必荒涼，杳無人跡。

我要召集北方各族和我的僕人巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒，去攻擊這片土地和其中的居民以及周圍各國。我要徹底毀滅他們，使他們的下場很可怕、令人嗤笑、土地永遠荒涼。這是耶和華說的。我要使他們的歡樂聲、新郎新娘的歡笑聲、推磨聲和燈光都消失。

惡訊頻傳，山河破碎，我的帳篷忽然倒塌，幔子頃刻破裂。

耶和華說：「猶大王約雅敬的兒子哥尼雅啊，我憑我的永恆起誓，即使你是我右手上蓋章的戒指，我也要把你摘下來，

看啊，耶和華必摧毀大地，使大地荒涼。祂毀壞地面，驅散萬民。那時，祭司和百姓，主人和僕人，主母和婢女，買的和賣的，貸的和借的，債主和債戶都必同遭厄運。大地必完全毀壞，一片荒涼。這是耶和華說的。大地必衰殘枯乾，世界必衰敗荒涼，世上的權貴也必敗落。大地被世人玷污，他們違犯律法，不守律例，背棄永遠的約。所以大地必遭受咒詛，世人必因罪而受懲罰。他們必被焚燒，所剩無幾。

他的雙腿好像純金座上的白玉石柱，體格如黎巴嫩挺拔的香柏樹。

「你要對猶大的王室說，『你們要聽耶和華的話。

我要在這地方挫敗猶大人和耶路撒冷居民的計謀，使他們喪身在敵人刀下，死在仇敵手中，屍體成為飛鳥和野獸的食物。我必摧毀這城，使它令人驚懼、嗤笑，它的滿目瘡痍必令路人驚懼、嗤笑。
