因為永恆主這麼說：看吧，我必使你和一切友愛你的人都覺得恐怖；他們必倒斃在他們的仇敵刀下，你必親眼看見。我必將猶大人全交在巴比倫王手中；他必使他們流亡到巴比倫去，用刀擊殺他們。

因耶和华如此说：‘我必使你自觉惊吓，你也必使众朋友惊吓；他们必倒在仇敌的刀下，你也必亲眼看见；我必将犹大人全交在巴比伦王的手中，他要将他们掳到巴比伦去，也要用刀将他们杀戮。

因耶和华如此说：‘看哪，我要使你和你的众朋友惊吓；你们要亲眼看见他们倒在仇敌的刀下。我必将犹大人全都交在巴比伦王的手中，他要把他们掳到巴比伦去，用刀杀他们。

因为耶和华这样说：‘看哪！我要使你自己和你所有的朋友都惊惶失措；他们必倒在他们仇敌的刀下，你也必亲眼看见。我要把全犹大交在巴比伦王手中；他要把他们掳到巴比伦去，或用刀击杀他们。

蓋耶和華曰、我必使爾驚惶、爾之友朋因而驚惶、彼必仆於敵刃、為爾目睹、我將付猶大眾於巴比倫王、虜至巴比倫、殺之以刃、

蓋耶和華曰、我將使爾恆有懼心、友朋見爾、莫不悚懼、爾友將亡於刃、使爾目睹、蓋巴比倫王將伐猶大、殺戮殆盡、擄其民人、而反、我使之然。

蓋主如是云、我將使爾驚惶、使爾友朋見爾驚惶、彼將殞亡於敵人之刃、使爾目睹、我亦必以猶大眾、付於巴比倫王手、擄至巴比倫、亦擊之以刃、

For this is what the Lord says:‘ I will make you a terror to yourself and to all your friends; with your own eyes you will see them fall by the sword of their enemies. I will give all Judah into the hands of the king of Babylon, who will carry them away to Babylon or put them to the sword.

The Lord says to you,‘ I will make you a terror to yourself. You will also be a terror to all your friends. With your own eyes you will see them die. Their enemies will kill them with swords. I will hand over all the people of Judah to the king of Babylon. He will carry them away to Babylon or kill them with swords.

For thus says the Lord: Behold, I will make you a terror to yourself and to all your friends. They shall fall by the sword of their enemies while you look on. And I will give all Judah into the hand of the king of Babylon. He shall carry them captive to Babylon, and shall strike them down with the sword.

For this is what the Lord says:‘ I will send terror upon you and all your friends, and you will watch as they are slaughtered by the swords of the enemy. I will hand the people of Judah over to the king of Babylon. He will take them captive to Babylon or run them through with the sword.

for this is what the LORD says,‘ I am about to make you a terror to both yourself and those you love. They will fall by the sword of their enemies before your very eyes. I will hand Judah over to the king of Babylon, and he will deport them to Babylon and put them to the sword.

For this is what the Lord says:‘ Behold, I am going to make you a horror to yourself and to all your friends; and while your eyes look on, they will fall by the sword of their enemies. So I will hand all Judah over to the king of Babylon, and he will take them away as exiles to Babylon and will kill them with the sword.

For thus says the Lord:‘ Behold, I will make you a terror to yourself and to all your friends; and they shall fall by the sword of their enemies, and your eyes shall see it. I will give all Judah into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall carry them captive to Babylon and slay them with the sword.

For thus saith Jehovah, Behold, I will make thee a terror to thyself, and to all thy friends; and they shall fall by the sword of their enemies, and thine eyes shall behold it; and I will give all Judah into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall carry them captive to Babylon, and shall slay them with the sword.

for this is what the Lord says,‘ I am about to make you a terror to both yourself and those you love. They will fall by the sword of their enemies before your very eyes. I will hand Judah over to the king of Babylon, and he will deport them to Babylon and put them to the sword.

For the LORD says,‘ I will make both you and your friends terrified of what will happen to you. You will see all of them die by the swords of their enemies. I will hand all the people of Judah over to the king of Babylon. He will carry some of them away into exile in Babylon and he will kill others of them with the sword.

For Yahweh says,‘ Behold, I will make you a terror to yourself and to all your friends. They will fall by the sword of their enemies, and your eyes will see it. I will give all Judah into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he will carry them captive to Babylon, and will kill them with the sword.

萬軍之永恆主以色列之上帝論哥賴雅的兒子亞哈和瑪西雅的兒子西底家是這麼說的：「他們是冒我名以虛假傳神言的；看吧，我必將他們交在巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒手中，他必在你們眼前擊殺他們。

你就看吧，我一定要差遣人去徵取北方的眾族，永恆主發神諭說，我必差遣人去見我的僕人、巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒，引他們來攻擊這地和這地的居民，以及四圍這些列國；我必把他們盡行毁滅歸神，使他們成了令人驚駭、令人嗤笑、永被羞辱的對象。

巴比倫王在利比拉當西底家眼前將他的眾兒子都宰殺掉；巴比倫王也宰殺了猶大所有顯貴的人，並將西底家的一對眼睛都弄瞎了，然後用銅鍊鎖着他，要將他帶到巴比倫去。

四面的恐怖使他驚惶，隨着他的腳跟追逼着他。他強壯之力因饑餓而衰竭，災難準備要使他顛沛。災病侵蝕他皮肉的肢體，致死的大病侵蝕他的四肢。他被拖出、離開他倚靠的帳棚，他受迫行進、到令人恐怖的王那裏。不屬他的、住在他的帳棚裏；有硫磺撒在他的莊舍。下邊他的根頭枯乾；上邊他的枝條被割下他令人懷念的遺跡都從境內滅沒；他的名字不存留於野外。他必從光中被攆到黑暗裏，他必被趕逐離開世界。在本族民中他沒有苗裔、沒有後代。在寓居的各地、他也沒有殘存的人。後代的人必因他在世的日子而驚訝；前代的人早已大為震驚。不義之人的住處總是這樣；這就是不認識上帝之人的下場。』

「永恆主以色列的上帝這麼說：看吧，我必使你們手中的戰器、就是你們在城外跟巴比倫王和圍困你們的迦勒底人打仗的戰器、翻轉過來，使這些器械都聚集在這城中。我必以怒氣、烈怒和大惱怒用伸出來的手和大能力的膀臂親自攻擊你們。我必擊打這城的居民，連人帶牲口；他們都必遭遇大瘟疫而死。然後我要將猶大王西底家，永恆主發神諭說，跟他的臣僕和平民，就是在這城內、從瘟疫、刀劍和饑荒中所剩下來的人、都交在巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒手中，和他們的仇敵手中，以及那些尋索他們性命的人手中，巴比倫王必用刀肆意擊殺他們，並不顧惜，不可憐，不憐憫。」『對這人民你要說：「永恆主這麼說：看吧，我將活路和死路擺在你們面前。住在這城裏的、必因刀劍饑荒瘟疫而死；但出去投降那圍困你們、的迦勒底人的、必得活着，來掠得自己的性命。永恆主發神諭說，我向這城板着臉，降禍不降福；這城必交於巴比倫王手中，他必放火燒城。」

你中間我沒有從我祭壇前剪除的那人必哭壞了眼睛，憂傷了心神；你家中增多的人口都必死在人刀下。

巴比倫王擊殺了他們，把他們殺死在哈馬地的利比拉。這樣、猶大人就流亡、離開他們的本地。

但願他的肚腹得滿足啊！上帝必打發猛烈怒氣到他身上；如雨下於他身上、做他的食物。他或者會躲避了鐵器，但銅弓的箭必將他射透。一抽，箭就從背後出來；閃亮閃亮由膽中而出，他身上來了一陣恐怖。所埋藏給他的寶物、盡是黑暗；有非人工吹的火、把他吞滅；他帳棚中所剩下、都被蠶食掉。

一眨眼間他們怎樣地成了荒涼啊！他們全都被可怕的災難滅盡了。

他們必為了你而舉哀唱歌、而論到你說：「素被頌讚的城，堅牢鞏固於海上的啊，你和你的居民素來將你們之可怕加於海上一切居民的啊，你怎麼從海上滅沒而絕跡了呢！如今在你傾覆的日子沿海地帶全都戰兢；海中島嶼見你歸於無有，也都驚惶。」『因為主永恆主這麼說：我使你變為荒廢的城市、如同無人居住的城市；我又使深洋的水上來漫過你，使大水淹沒你，那時我就叫你跟那些下陰坑的人一起下到古時的人那裏；我就使你住在地府之最低處、在久已荒廢之地，跟那些下了陰坑的人在一起，使你不再有居民，也不得在活人之地有位置。我必使你遭受可怕的災難，你就不存在了；人雖尋找你，也永遠不能再找着：這是主永恆主發神諭說的。』

又在西底家眼前將他兒子們都宰殺掉，並將西底家一對眼睛都弄瞎了，然後用銅鍊鎖着他，帶到巴比倫去。

說：『我把無辜人送官處死，我有罪了。』他們說：『那與我們何干？你自理吧！』猶大把那銀子丟在殿堂裏，就退出來，去吊死了。

『萬軍之永恆主以色列之上帝這麼說：我必將我所說要責罰它的一切災禍降於這城、和屬它的一切城市，因為他們硬着脖子，不聽我的話。』

在這些國中、你不能得安然，也沒有給你腳掌停息的地方；永恆主卻要使你在那裏心中發顫，眼目失明，精神消損。你的性命在你面前懸而無定；你晝夜恐懼，對自己的性命、都不敢自信。因你心裏所恐懼的事、和你眼中所看見的景況，早晨你必說：「巴不得到晚上才好呢！」晚上你必說：「巴不得到早晨才好呢！」

你們不要出去到田野，也不要在路上走；因為有仇敵的刀劍，四圍盡是恐怖。

『看哪，我乃是永恆主，是一切血肉之人的上帝；在我哪有難成的事呢？因此永恆主這麼說：看吧，我必將這城交於迦勒底人手中，交於巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒手中，使他攻取這城。攻擊這城的迦勒底人必來，放火焚燒這城和它的房屋，因為在那些房頂上人曾燻祭獻與巴力，澆奠祭獻與別的神，來惹我發怒。因為以色列人和猶大人自從幼年以來就只是行我所看為壞的事，以色列就只是以他們的手所作的來惹我發怒：這是永恆主發神諭說的。因為這城自從人建造它那一天、直到今日、就常激我的怒氣和烈怒，以致我須將這城從我面前除掉。

你的兒女給了別族之民，你親眼看着；終日渴望他們、以至失明；你手也沒有能力作甚麼。你土地上的果實、你勞碌得來的、你不認識的族民必喫盡它；你只是日日不斷地受欺壓受壓制；以致你因眼中之所見、因你所要看到的事、而瘋狂。
