既至便雅憫門、有閽長名伊利雅、乃哈拿尼孫示利米亞子、執先知耶利米曰、爾欲降迦勒底人乎、

彼雖攻爾、必不能勝、蓋我護祐爾、拯救爾、此乃主所言、

亞撒因此言、向先見震怒、囚之於獄、當時亞撒亦虐遇民中數人、

西番亞、主立爾為祭司、以代祭司耶何耶大、督理主殿、使爾執諸狂妄自稱為先知者、囚之於獄、加以桎梏、

王命哈米勒子耶拉篾、亞斯列子西萊亞、亞伯叠子示利米亞、執繕寫巴錄及先知耶利米、幸主使之得藏匿、

民聽王命、謀害撒迦利雅、在主殿之院中以石擊之死、

主遣耶利米往陀斐特、以述此預言、既竟、耶利米遂自陀斐特歸、立於主殿之院、告民眾曰、萬有之主以色列之天主如是云、我所言之諸災、必降於此邑、及屬之之諸邑、因民強項、不聽我言、

侯伯怒耶利米、撻之、囚之於獄、在繕寫約拿單室、蓋眾以此室為獄、於是耶利米下獄、囚於窖多日、

有人受凌侮、鞭撲、縲絏、囹圄之試、被石擊、被鋸解、試以酷刑、死於鋒刃、衣綿羊山羊之皮、奔走無定、受窮乏、患難、困苦、

我見婦飲聖徒之血、及為耶穌作證者之血、飲而醉矣、我見之不勝驚駭、

主桎我足、加意防守於我之四周、困我於患難中、步履難移、

爾必受苦、惟勿懼、魔將以爾數人投於獄、致爾被試、爾將受難十日、當盡忠至死、我必賜爾永生之冠冕、

為義而被窘逐者福矣、因天國乃其國也、人為我而詬詈爾、窘逐爾、造諸惡言、誹謗爾、則爾福矣、當欣喜歡樂、因在天爾之賞大也、蓋先爾諸先知、人亦曾如是窘逐之也、○

遂起、執使徒囚於邑獄、

有何先知而爾祖不窘逐之乎、預言義者將至之人、爾祖殺之、此義者、今爾已賣而殺之、

眾遂以耶利米下於哈米勒子瑪勒家坑中、即在獄院、以繩縋之下、坑無水、惟有淤泥、耶利米遂沈入於泥中、王宮內有宦官、古實人以伯米勒、聞人下耶利米於坑、知王坐於便雅憫門、

眾齊起訟之、上官命人褫其衣、杖之、既笞多杖、遂下諸獄、令獄吏固守之、獄吏受令、下之內獄、以木桎械其足、

遂執之、因時已暮、囚之於獄、以待明日、

耶利米以主所命者、悉告眾民、其言既竟、諸祭司諸先知與眾民執之曰、爾當死、

園夫執其僕、撲一、殺一、石擊一、

眾然其言、召使徒入、鞭之、命勿以耶穌之名訓人、遂釋之、

是以我遣先知智人經士就爾、其中有爾所殺及釘十字架者、有爾所鞭於爾之會堂、由此邑窘逐至彼邑者、致地上流義人之血、皆歸於爾、即自義人亞伯之血、至爾所殺於殿及祭臺間巴拉迦子撒迦利亞之血也、我誠告爾、此事皆必歸於斯代、耶路撒冷乎、耶路撒冷乎、爾殺先知、石擊奉遣就爾者、我屢欲集爾赤子、似母鷄集雛於翼下、惟爾不欲、
