Moreover Jeremiah said to all the people and to all the women,“ Hear the word of the Lord, all Judah who are in the land of Egypt!Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, saying:‘ You and your wives have spoken with your mouths and fulfilled with your hands, saying,“ We will surely keep our vows that we have made, to burn incense to the queen of heaven and pour out drink offerings to her.” You will surely keep your vows and perform your vows!’Therefore hear the word of the Lord, all Judah who dwell in the land of Egypt:‘ Behold, I have sworn by My great name,’ says the Lord,‘ that My name shall no more be named in the mouth of any man of Judah in all the land of Egypt, saying,“ The Lord GOD lives.”

Hear now what the Lord says:“ Arise, plead your case before the mountains, And let the hills hear your voice.

“ Have you not considered what these people have spoken, saying,‘ The two families which the Lord has chosen, He has also cast them off’? Thus they have despised My people, as if they should no more be a nation before them.

Hear and give ear: Do not be proud, For the Lord has spoken.

and say,‘ Hear the word of the Lord, O kings of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem. Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel:“ Behold, I will bring such a catastrophe on this place, that whoever hears of it, his ears will tingle.

“ Listen to Me, you who follow after righteousness, You who seek the Lord: Look to the rock from which you were hewn, And to the hole of the pit from which you were dug.Look to Abraham your father, And to Sarah who bore you; For I called him alone, And blessed him and increased him.”For the Lord will comfort Zion, He will comfort all her waste places; He will make her wilderness like Eden, And her desert like the garden of the Lord; Joy and gladness will be found in it, Thanksgiving and the voice of melody.“ Listen to Me, My people; And give ear to Me, O My nation: For law will proceed from Me, And I will make My justice rest As a light of the peoples.

Hear the word of the Lord, You children of Israel, For the Lord brings a charge against the inhabitants of the land:“ There is no truth or mercy Or knowledge of God in the land.

‘ Hear this now, O foolish people, Without understanding, Who have eyes and see not, And who have ears and hear not:

“ At the same time,” says the Lord,“ I will be the God of all the families of Israel, and they shall be My people.”

Yet hear the word of the Lord, O Zedekiah king of Judah! Thus says the Lord concerning you:‘ You shall not die by the sword.

“ Stand in the gate of the Lord’s house, and proclaim there this word, and say,‘ Hear the word of the Lord, all you of Judah who enter in at these gates to worship the Lord!’”
