爾之罪惡必自懲、爾之悖逆必自責、可知離棄爾上帝耶和華、不存寅畏之心、乃惡而且苦之事、萬軍之主耶和華言之矣、

萬有之主耶和華曰、爾犯罪違道、必遭刑譴、俾爾知、遐棄我躬、不畏我威者、必備嘗艱苦。

爾之惡行、使爾受刑、爾之違逆、使爾受譴、爾可知可見爾棄主爾之天主、不敬畏我、必至遭難受苦、此乃主萬有之天主所言、

Your wickedness will punish you; your backsliding will rebuke you. Consider then and realize how evil and bitter it is for you when you forsake the Lord your God and have no awe of me,” declares the Lord, the Lord Almighty.

You will be punished because you have sinned. You will be corrected for turning away from me. I am the Lord your God. If you desert me, bad things will happen to you. If you do not respect me, you will suffer bitterly. I want you to understand that,” announces the Lord who rules over all.

Your evil will chastise you, and your apostasy will reprove you. Know and see that it is evil and bitter for you to forsake the Lord your God; the fear of me is not in you, declares the Lord God of hosts.

Your wickedness will bring its own punishment. Your turning from me will shame you. You will see what an evil, bitter thing it is to abandon the Lord your God and not to fear him. I, the Lord, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, have spoken!

Your own evil will discipline you; your own apostasies will reprimand you. Recognize how evil and bitter it is for you to abandon the LORD your God and to have no fear of me. This is the declaration of the Lord GOD of Armies.

我要使你們的節期變為喪禮，叫你們的歡歌變為哀歌。我要使你們都腰束麻布，剃光頭髮；我要使你們傷心欲絕，如喪獨生子；我要使那日成為痛苦的日子。」

罪惡在惡人內心深處說話，他們眼中毫無對上帝的畏懼。

你這不是自食其果嗎？因為你的上帝耶和華一路引導你的時候，你卻背棄祂。

因此，林中的獅子必襲擊他們，荒野的豺狼必殘害他們，豹子也蹲伏在他們的城外，伺機撕裂出城的人，因為他們罪大惡極，屢屢叛道。

我的子民執意離我而去，他們雖然求告至高的我，我也不會拯救他們。

所以，你們必自食其果，因自己的惡謀而吃盡苦頭。

耶和華說：「我休你們母親的休書在哪裡呢？我把你們賣給了我哪一個債主呢？你們被賣是因為你們的罪惡，你們母親被休是因為你們的過犯。

難道你們不敬畏我嗎？這是耶和華說的。難道你們在我面前不顫抖嗎？我以沙石為海的界限，使水永遠不能越過它。洶湧的波濤不能逾越，澎湃的海浪不能漫過。

以色列啊，你被自己的罪惡絆倒了，歸向你的上帝耶和華吧！

王和臣僕聽了這些話，既不懼怕，也沒有撕裂衣服。猶底每讀三四段，王就用書記的小刀把那幾段割下來扔進火盆裡，直到全卷被燒毀。

他們眼中毫無對上帝的畏懼。」

耶和華說：「不忠貞的子民啊，歸來吧！我要醫治你們不忠貞的病。」他們說：「是的，我們要到你面前，因為你是我們的上帝耶和華。

以色列桀驁不馴，如同桀驁不馴的母牛。耶和華怎能牧養他們，如同在草場上牧養羊羔呢？

惡人被自己的罪惡捉住，被自己的罪惡捆綁。

他們卻不理會，背過身去，充耳不聞，

他的筋骨依然強健，卻要隨他葬入塵土。「他以邪惡為甘飴，將其藏在舌下，含在口中，慢慢品味。這食物在腹中變酸，變成了蛇的毒液。他要吐出所吞下的財富，上帝要倒空他腹中之物。他吸吮蛇的毒液，被蛇的舌頭害死。

為什麼耶路撒冷的居民一味地背叛我？他們詭詐成性，不肯回頭。

耶和華對我說：「不忠貞的以色列比奸詐的猶大罪過還輕。你去向北方宣告，『耶和華說，不忠貞的以色列啊，回轉吧！我必不向你們發怒，因為我充滿慈愛，不會永遠懷怒。』這是耶和華說的。『你必須要承認自己的罪，承認背叛了你的上帝耶和華，在綠蔭樹下祭拜各種外邦的神明，不聽從我的話。』這是耶和華說的。「『不忠貞的子民啊，回轉吧！因為我是你們的主人。我要從你們中間選些人帶回錫安，每座城邑或每個宗族選一兩個人。』這是耶和華說的。

在約西亞王執政期間，耶和華對我說：「你看見以色列的不忠不貞了嗎？她在高山上、在綠蔭下放縱情慾。我以為她放縱之後會回到我身邊，她卻執迷不悟。她不忠的妹妹猶大也看見了這事。因為以色列不忠貞，我給她休書，把她休掉。她不忠的妹妹猶大卻不害怕，竟也去淫亂。

「現在，我告訴你們我會怎樣處理這葡萄園，我要除去籬笆，任它被毀壞；我要拆毀圍牆，任它被踐踏。
